lore idea: sornieth is tidally locked

why are sornieth's poles as climatically different as they are? the far north is a jungle and the far south is a tundra. they should get the same amount of insolation. what gives?

my theory is that sornieth is 1:1 tidally locked with its parent star, centered on the beacon of the radiant eye.

this theory would explain a lot of the placement of climates and regions. nature gets a lot of sun to fuel the plants, the arid biomes cluster in the areas around the middle latitudes and the humid biomes cluster in the middle latitudes, and the perpetual darkness regions are the coldest flight and the one that likes to look at the stars the most.

why do males get cool dynamic poses and females are delegated to sitting????

#unconscious sexist bias next #no no but i have noticed this as well- especially as someone who #heavily prefers the m pose for a majority of breeds due to them being more dynamic?#but there are certain f poses that are “boring but still are enjoyable #largely in part due to how apparel or skins look on them #but idk it’s always felt kinda like sitting is the more quote unquote motherly pose #that’s why my patriarch dragon is m pose tundra- he’s sitting down it makes him appear more.. approachable ?? idk

I've been hoping Flight Rising would add button eyes ever since the stitched/patchwork genes came out. I was really excited to see them for April Fools, although unfortunately I feel like the execution leaves a lot to be desired on most breeds... they look weirdly flat, and in many cases bigger than I think they really need to be. I decided to try my hand at redesigning them.

Unfortunately I think I just ended up making myself more wistful for what Could Have Been... ah well ^^;;
