I did it. I survived another day. 

Sometime its: 

Goddamn it, I forgot to bolus, now I need to pee and get water and oh yes, don’t forget nausea. 

I finally have a week off from uni (yaayyy) and some free time, and I’m going to set up the Type 1 Diabetic Tumblr List to attach to my blog, because having other dia-badasses to talk and connect with can make life with type 1 that little bit easier 

Amnamnamnam -Have i gone over my sugar limit who cares -shakes until fed -will only move to get a soft drink -doesnt care what theyre eating just eAT -never wants to eat again after their bg is normal

Shiverbean -shakes violently all the time -can hardly type -dont u dare ask me to hold a pencil -“not enough sample” or “bad strip error” messages on machine

Sensory hell -too hot wait too cold aaaa -can taste every bit of pulp in their tropicana -would rather die than eat glucotabs -dont tOUCH ME I CAN TEST MY BLOOD ON MY OWN

- catching every single cold and infectious disease ever because your immune system sucks

- bg levels too high? time for excruciating cramps in a random body part!

- someone non-diabetic: “why do you always have a bag with you lmao”

- h e a d a c h e s

- sensory overload when you’re hypoglycaemic

- “why do you care about carbs so much lmao”

- “i would have offered you some cake but you can’t eat sugar right? you poor thing uwu”

- when you’re pretty sure your bg is too low but also what if you’re faking it as an excuse to eat something

- “you don’t look disabled though??”

- your friends looking mildly horrified when you casually joke about stabbing yourself several times a day

- when your phone/laptop is low on charge, and you’re like “oh no it’s going hypoglycaemic” but you’re only half joking

- the increased risk of anxiety and depression, to an extent that many diabetic clinics routinely test their patients for symptoms
