When Wess receives an offer from Ari - a complete stranger - to seek shelter in her New York apartment from a snow storm, she reluctantly agrees saying it'll only be for a few days before she moves on. Wess is part of a small part of the population that is able to manipulate the elements - abilities that can only be acheived when in life or death scenarios. She finds herself staying longer than she intended at Ari's and despite Wess' best efforts to put her past behind her, Ari's desperation to help ends up uncovering a deeply disturbing series of occurences that ropes the two of them into a plot that uncovers what it means to find love when you've done so much wrong, holding yourself accountable when pushing against a world that wants you dead and who is it that deserves to decide who lives and who dies. Those that are strongest or those that are truly in the right?

Yeaarrsss ago I used to create OCs for the sake of making OCs so i could use them for meaningless animation memes but at some point I'd pieced a few of what are now the main characters together, and had the beginnings of a storyline.

And originally the story of Complacency's End was going to be told exclusively using animation memes, and some bare bone plot line points can be found on my youtube channel. But I kinda simultaneously stopped having enough free time to animate and also started reading webcomics, so I decided to change the format of how I told the story
