Committerary Criticism

The warrior cry of a practitioner of the first Post-Modern Programming Language begins this elemental piece. The quad-exclamation point usage drives home the feeling of excitement and wonder of this gift, "Perl for you."

Three simple words, at once cryptic and revealing. An ongoing tense lends an air of a continuing process unfinished. Questions become apparent upon reflection, "How could it be missing if it was require?", "Whose need does adding it serve?"

The imperative gives this message a strong, forceful feeling. "Unmap!" it says to the world, with the optimism only a bug fixing patch can illicit. "Why?" A reader may wonder, though a simple reference to the JIRA is implicit in the messages beginning.

This work speaks of infallibility, bringing with it the unasked question of whether any mortal artifact can indeed possess such quality. Its use of technical vocabulary specific to the language of the project at once both clarifies and obfuscates its point.

It begins with a nice bit of alliteration, following a sort of triplet pattern. One syllable, then seven, then six; it flows nicely with a good mix of consonants.

Simple, direct and to the point. And yet, it's lacking in a certain specificity. What necessitated the spacing change? What was its purpose?
