if the end is right it justifies THE BEANS!

speed-running through the ENTIRE book pre-divorce is just truly the most asinine thing they could've done. i know not every book adaptation can be 100% faithful to the novel but they could've thrown in any of this bullshit throughout the story instead of just rushing through the book to get to whatever story it is they wanted to tell.

or at the very least whatever is coming truly should've come before runch chose neen. when runch did that in the book you knew the weight it held and what it cost her. but ultimately she was willing to do it because she loves neen. having show runch do the same but then immediately start taking her mother's side yet again is just so fucking crazy to me. and i'm saying this because the scenes we got today were literally the final warning scenes in the book before runch cut her off. like yes, book runch gives her mom lots of warnings and chances so it's not like it's out of character. but also book runch's final warning really was the FINAL warning. and they used what she said in the book practically verbatim.

atp i hope the promo is misleading me. ik i give her flack and ik they changed a lot to probably make her more likable in the show but goddamn even at her worst book runch really would not have done that. when she made the choice that was that. and i'm mad that now that her penultimate choice just seems like a such a bandaid to their problems. and she's looking like the biggest hypocrite, saying she'd choose and protect neen only to go on and take her mom's side?? and you know what this also has to do with them cutting chapter 10 but i digress.
