Yesterday.
Yesterday was a big day for Come to Mine. The opening event gathered many people and weĀ“ve been seriously overwhelmed with your affection. And love. And support. We put all our energy into this project which came to life in all its brightness yesterday night. We opened the door of our living room and shared with you the best moments experienced with our kind hosts. The laughs, the thoughts, the beauty of hospitality through set of pictures and quotes that we hope have given you the taste of what this project was all about: open a door, share a moment, feel at home. Each of you made this possible and this is our way to thank you. Thank you Kirsten, for being the first memorable visit. Thank you for letting us meet a wonderful artist and her great son, you really made us understand that come to mine was all possible by giving us the energy to continue. Thank you Ulla, for your kind smile and your willingness to share your life. We learnt about friends and the importance of them in a beautiful house setting. Thank you Lone and family, for inviting us in the coziest red house of Denmark! We loved meeting you all and the former Patricia ļ Your family projects made us laugh and enjoy a memorable summer day. Thank you Trine, for really understanding the expat challenges in Denmark. A lovely summer break with someone who truly believe that mixing cultures can only make us better people. Thumbs up! Thank you Solvej and Viggo, for opening your door to three chatty girls curious about your huge blackboard. Funny talks, a beautiful greenhouse and an architect touch will always stay in our minds. Thank you Julia and Mads, for sharing with us the thoughts of soon-to-be parents. We were delighted to hear about it and enjoyed the tour in a wonderful vegetable garden! Thank you Pernille and family, for the most colored house of Vejle! Flamingos, polka dots and an awesome cartoon touch - keep smiling, youĀ“re wonderful! Thank you Birgit & Kai, for being the grandparents everyone shall have. Thank you for the best kanel sneigl ever and the great fun with KaiĀ“s stories. That day on the top of the fjord will always be in our hearts. Thank you Karsten, for the wonderful empathy with our projects and the ideas on how to use the concept in a social environment. We were so proud to hear Come to Mine could benefit a bigger community, such an honorable idea! Thank you Inger, for cuddling us as you only are able to and be the inspiring person you are. YouĀ“re a role model for most of us and you will always be. Thank you Maja and family, for making us discover Lille Grundet and the beauty of this concept. We loved meeting your flock (and Josephine of course!) in such an amazing place such Lille Grundet! Thank you Arne and your beautiful wife, for finding time for our visit in a busy agenda ļ We felt right at home and your kindness was definitely the mirror of the hospitality of the Vejle community. Thank you Liza, for your energy and for introducing us to your talented son. It has been such a pleasure talking about the future, the past and the passion you have. Thank you Lilian and family, for sharing with us small anecdotes and the great metaphor about little and tidy Denmark. WeĀ“re sure your grandkids will love spending time in the wooden house at grandpaĀ“s place! Thank you SĆøren & Birgit, for all the laughs on broken signboards and a great piano piece. Books, strawberries and Italian memories, we really couldnĀ“t have asked for better. And..last but not least. Thank you Karen and Nick, for building a great structure and a cozy living room ļ Thank you Robert, for being able to surprise us and always ready to take a musical challenge. And thank you Eva, for being the first one to believe in the project and sharing with us your endless energy! Come to Mine wouldnĀ“t have been possible without your support, so an immense Thanks to you. With Love, The Come to Mine team.
