I was always there for them, they were the ones that abandoned me. I was a kid and that tension and constant fighting in the house was not my fault. What she did to me was not my fault and her wanting to end it all for what happened was not my fault. I was 10. What they did to me sexually was not my fault. Him not having a real conversation with me until I was 18 was not my fault. Eating is not a wrong thing to do even when your mind or family tells you it is. Developing severe anxiety and depression at age 10 was not my fault. Still having it many years later is not my fault. Losing her was not my fault. Losing him was not my fault. Losing him was not my fault, he was the one who cheated and made me look like a fool. Some days I can’t make myself get out of bed and that’s not my fault.

I am trying to cope with everything in my life that has led me to be who I am, the good and the bad but I know I will not be able to move forward and get out of this stagnation if I do not let go of this guilt for things I couldn’t control and that were not my fault.

So my loves; Breathe it in, and let it go. Feel the pain, feel the hurt and let it go. Don’t bottle up the pain until one day you up and quit everything and can’t take it anymore. Please do not take that unwarranted guilt with you to the grave.
