I. What Is Anarchism

--> In This 1st Chapter, berkman refutes popular ideas of what anarchism is and isn't. Anarchism is not chaos or disorder, nor is it barbarianism, It is believing in the freedom of everyone as an unalienable right.
More than 30,000 people turned out at Union Square for a Communist demonstration celebration the founding of the Soviet Union, August 1, 1929. Placards read "Defend the Soviet Union" and "In Unity With the Revolutionary Masses We Will Defeat the Imperialist War." Communists around the city "struck" for one hour to attend the demonstration.

i think not only do we have a moral obligation to preserve human life but also a moral obligation to maximize the pleasure of others and ourselves (provided it doesn’t hurt anyone)
people don’t just deserve to eat food, they deserve to eat good food that tastes good without worrying about nutritional content
people don’t just deserve clothes, they deserve nice clothes that are well made and fit their personal style
people don’t just deserve the bare minimum, they don’t just deserve to be alive, they deserve to live and have nice things for no other reason than making that particular person happy
This is in fact a core tenet of my personal life philosophy. People deserve beauty, joy, and pleasure in their lives.
