So Flowery's whole thing is that he's pushing back against the fate of the prophecy and and he's going to be as obtrusive as he can be in regards to fate. He will kick and scream and laugh until he can't anymore and then he'll keep trying anyways. Its very easy to connect this to the only missing flower/soul of Determination even when Flowery has a golden flower shaped lump in his throat.

But I think we collectively fail to acknowledge that those are also inherently Flowey based traits too. Flowey for a long time was the only one in The Undergound with enough innate Determination to bend fate to his will, to even briefly taste the freedom he'd grown uo craving. And don't forget that, that Asriel as a child born in The Underground to the two people who were meant to be finding ways to get them out, he was taught to yearn for something he'd never known at a very young age. As was Flowery, grown and germinated with the single goal of being an expression of love, because on the day of the wedding it was Toriel who held that bouquet, which meant for a moment Flowery and all the flowers got to see unbridled love in Asgore's eyes looking directly at them. So yeah, yearning is made for Determination, but it is a very Flowey trait for Flowery to possess.

Another thing to consider is that Flowey, for a time, was powerful. He did have what he wanted, he could control and change the world around him however he liked. He could do and be anything. Until Frisk falls down, and real Determination over powers his own. There's an obvious Kris parallel to be made of course, but it doesn't fit quite right. Because Flowery never truly held any power. He didn't have any choice, he was, is, and always will be just a flower. He wanted anything that could give him a glimpse of that power, that idea of self ownership and he never found it. He had to rely on Asgore for his entire existence. Ultimately Flowey has the one thing that was never awarded to Flowery.

He had a choice.

Every step of the way Flowery moved in frantic neediness hidden under bravado and showmanship. Flowey made his own rules that everyone else had to abide by, Flowery was made to play the game and could only stretch the rules that existed so much.

I think rather than looking at The Flowers as clean mirrors into each particular soul or kid who held that soul, I think we should see how each flower goes against their virtue.

Row 1: Kerdly moment at the festival. God damned shade of green gets a moment to shine. PAPYRUS MENTIONED OR APPEARANCE. Asgore is one of the bosses, mini bosses, or a secret boss. Toby a woman i beg of you.

Row 2: We got that rating let someone swear. Toby Spamtenna posting on main. Im looking for hype moments and aura. My personal long standing theory is that the festival gets turned into a Dark World and we get to see for the first time what happens when a Dark World isn't in one confined room or space. Dess shows up for real either in a flashback or otherwise.

Row 3: Yeah sorry Ralsei fans those death flags have been going up since chapter 2 lowk. Again, Toby, a woman please. Free Space. Not every chapter has weird route stuff going on, I think this one will. Genuinely ANY reference to friend inside me.

Row 4: Asriel shows up at the end of the chapter but it cuts away before he can be fully seen OR he gets a dialouge box but is not seen. Susie my goat i dont doubt you or your power of friendship for a SECOND. I think we play as the vessel at some point in this chapter. Or we get our soul switched to Noelle and we control her at some point. NO GASTER FUCK YOU.

Row 5: The more reasonable place for the Dark World to be is Asgore's flower shop. The ORIGNAL STARWALKER cameo. Alphys is important some way some how. Sorry about your hand in advance Kris.

Now the last slot is a bit of a theory of mine. I think this is the chapter where we give up the ghost so to speak. I think it gets revealed that Kris isn't and hasn't been themselves fully this entire time and we, the player and soul, get separated from them and the party. This could lead to a lot of different outcomes. One being that we find or summon the vessel. Another being that we take over Noelle. However the one I'm banking on is that whoever Kris is working with decides that they're not worth the trouble and remove us from them, personally.

An over arching idea of how you don't get to choose who you are in this world, you don't get to choose if you're good or bad, useful or not, in this mess or out. Someone stronger, smarter, and older will always be there to knock you down. Tell you where you're meant to be. It doesn't have to be Kris, it never needed to be Kris. It doesn't even need to be human. It just needs to be a cage, with a human soul and parts.

We often identify ourselves and being by the comunity around us. Including the religion we grow up within. When rapture comes, your individuality isn't what saves you, it's doing what everyone else told you to. Be good, follow the good word, and behave. Kris was perfect for the prophecy as a vessel, but they're useless to it as a person. And unfortunately the moment you're born you don't get to choose how human you are, how emotion filled and determined to live you are. You come into this world crying and alive. And heaven only accepts you silent and dead.

So the soul is removed. Kris once again violated inside and out at the whim of someone who knows better for them. Who leaves them in the throes of the theoretical friendships they've made over this week. To fend for themselves alone. While we keep playing our favorite game. But for Kris? There is no more Deltarune.
