Utilization of wifi and bluetooth connections, touch screen interfaces and user customization can exponentially increase the value of any product on the market. We are experiencing, it seems, a transitional stage, the emergence of a new era in the foodservice industry where players can adapt and thrive or simply fade away. And yet it isn’t just the products that need technological advancement, we at the Collis Group, actually feel that many manufacturer’s products are on the right path in this regard. It’s fair to say that our industry is an aging one, and that the phrase “don’t teach an old dog new tricks” comes to play when technology is concerned. The important thing to remember is that every new tool that comes out is equipped with tutorials and workshops to help aid the transition. Wherever or whatever your business or team is doing, it’s fair to say that gaining a technological advantage is crucial to the survival and longevity of a business.
