This is a last resort but please take some time and consider helping me. What is "Elephants for Ellie"? Elephants for Ellie is a campaign to raise awareness of infant loss. I am using this campaign to raise money ($3,000) to purchase a CuddleCot in honor of my niece, Ellie Grace, who was stillborn. A CuddleCot is a portable cooling bassinet that is often referred as "the gift of time". It gives parents and family members the opportunity to have their last precious moments with their stillborn infant by slowing down the decomposition process, rather than having the baby taken to the morgue after a certain amount of time. These last moments are crucial to the grieving process, and was something that my family and many other families have not had. Once I meet my goal, I will donate a CuddleCot to my local Hospital. Unfortunately, I have a strict deadline and I am only about half way there ($1,500). My deadline is this March. I really need a miracle to make all of this possible and worth it. I want so badly to be able to honor my niece, and have her name live on, as well as raising awareness of stillbirths. I cannot express the grief and pain my family went through when we lost Ellie Grace; we felt like nobody understood our hurt, and we could not explain what was happening to us. We did not have enough time to grieve and to really feel her death until it was all over. That's what a CuddleCot could help prevent. It lets other families know that they are not alone, and that someone who has been through the same traumatic experience as them donated this machine to help their grieving process. I would appreciate any sort of donation, and will be forever grateful for every single penny that goes through here from anyone that decides to donate. I am still selling bracelets, of course, but Elephants for Ellie really needs a boost.
