Coldflash Fic Library

Hi, Coldflash fam!

For the past month, I’ve been working on a fun little project to recover as many fics that were deleted from the tag as possible. I’ve managed to find quite a few of them (some I never even knew existed), and I will happily share them with anyone who is interested, but there are also many I haven’t been able to recover yet, so I thought I might as well try asking tumblr for help!

Here’s the Dropbox link with the full list of deleted Coldflash fics I’ve been able to identify.

Please send me an ask or message me if:

you’ve kept a copy of one of the missing fics and you’d be willing to share it

you can think of some deleted Coldflash fics that are NOT on the list (even if you don’t currently own a copy of them)

you’d like a copy of one or more of the deleted fics that I did manage to find

I’ve considered making a zip folder or public OneDrive or something where everyone has access to them, but there are several problems that have kept me from doing so quite yet

Hi! Here are some longfic recs for you:

the roommate verse by coldflasher

It truly does not get longer than that! It starts with Len and Barry becoming roommates and getting together pre-series and then expands into a giant 600k S1 re-write, with Barry becoming the Flash and Len becoming Captain Cold, and both of them hiding it from each other.

Seventy Three Seconds by RedHead

This is from the same author as Tumbling Together, and I would definitely recommend checking all of their other stuff out! Their soulmate AU is also very long and it’s probably the blueprint for soulmate AUs for this pairing. VERY angsty though!

Out Cold by Crimson1

This author has written some of my favorite Coldflash fics, so if you like this one you might also want to check out The Color of Love, Lovesick and Timeless as well.

This Delicate Thing We’ve Made by spacemonkey766

This is a slightly more recent one, from 2020, and it was posted all at once so I feel like it did not have time to build as big an audience as it could have, but it’s great! This is post-Oculus, so the Flash/Cold dynamic is a bit different than in earlier ones, but no less compelling imo.

Landslide by Maxc

Okay, so this is a Sentinel/Guard AU, so might not be what you’re looking for, but Barry is still the Flash and Len is still Captain Cold, so it’s not totally removed from canon. This is kind of the wild card of this list though, so feel free to take it or leave it!

The Things series by n_a_feathers

A classic for hurt/comfort fics if you ask me! The series is 4 parts and complete, and although some of those parts are pretty short the whole thing is still decently long (150k words in total).
