Remembering how pretty the sky was just a few days ago before wildfires and bad air quality. At least I have an excuse to stay inside and study. I’m about to finish my last assignment of the semester (excluding final projects and course research papers of course).

Fun fact: you can drink and study at Whole Foods simultaneously and it’s pretty economical

Woke up to pancakes for my birthday.  It’s the start of a full weekend, but I have my project proposal due Monday morning, so I’m spending a couple of hours on it this morning before I start my fun.

Also, at the Peet’s coffee in Monterey I saw a man bring his whole desktop and set it up to work while he drank his coffee. I guess laptops aren’t all that necessary.

I had to go down the coast today to take care of something for work. Seeing all the pumpkin patches Half Moon Bay has to offer was a nice break from stress. 

My midterm was way harder than I anticipated. I feel a little bit defeated, but looking at the campanile (bell tower) reminds me of the school I attend and the fact that it’s not the easiest academically. I guess I’m just going to study that much harder for the final.

I left my textbook in my boyfriend’s car earlier this week, and found this little envelope tucked in it today. The smallest thing can keep you motivated and light up your study session.

Tuesdays and Thursdays I have class from 8a.m.-9:30a.m. and work from 11:00a.m. to 5:30p.m. I normally don’t get a ton of school work done these days, but I always practice my language learning on Duolingo while I walk from class to work to home. I use it to try and keep a fresh memory of French and Spanish and to learn Russian. study
