it never ceases to upset me when i follow a queer/trans content creator and then they randomly out that theyre transandrophobic. it just really fucking sucks

unfortunately when you are a trans man who follows trans/queer content creators, no matter how trans friendly they paint themselves to be, you just dont know how they feel about trans men before they explicitly talk about trans men. its not like how we as trans people dont know a content creators view on trans people until they say it because you can follow an account that has been openly pro trans for YEARS and then one day theyll just drop that theyre not transMASC friendly. and those two things are different. we as trans men will follow accounts that are trans friendly and often times also run by trans people, only to be slapped in the face with the fact that a lot of people exclude trans men in their trans activism, if they arent outright hateful to us. and i feel like those are just very different things

I maintain that the best summation of my feminist beliefs are that men and women are not fundamentally different. There are a few quantifiable differences if you average out every woman and every man, but they are not qualitative. And most of them are socially constructed, and would be fixed if we started treating men and women the same. Neither is inherently smarter, neither is inherently kinder, neither is inherently more stoic or stronger or angrier or softer. Everyone is obsessed with the differences between women and men, with finding them and creating them and distancing themselves from the "other half". It's fucked up

the fear mongering around transmasculine people who sing going on testosterone genuinely pisses me off. yes, you will be able to sing. no, you won't lose your voice. no, low voices aren't ugly (where are people even getting this shit???). no, higher voices aren't prettier. sing through the changes (don't push anything). hydrate. h y d r a t e. please don't stop singing, your voice will sound amazing.
