ATTENTION SLEX / DEATHCORP FANS! — Fanfic Comment Participation! {Details Below}
Hello Slex / Deathcorp Fans!
Have you ever wanted to participate in a fanfic without having to write it yourself? Well this is your chance.
I'm Codie! As of posting this I have written the majority of the fanfics publicly available for this ship and I have recently decided to experiment with a new type of fanfic that Includes the characters reacting to your comments.
Now.. You may be asking yourself "How does this work?" Well good question.
This will have the characters answering questions that you provide in the comments below. This can be about themselves, their relationship, or anything you really have interest in or want to know.
This fic will also discuss their reaction to their ships names. If you know of any outside of Slex and Deathcorp do not hesitate to comment them below.
Usernames of the commenters will be featured on the fic unless requested not to be included.
I will be posting this fic both on AO3 and Tumblr.
-
Important Notice: This fanfic specifically covers the maws version of the characters and will include some personal headcanons of mine. I do try to incorporate as much as canon as I can but fanfic allows for some creative libraries after all so please be courteous to that fact as this is fanfiction.
-
I do not have a set date for the release of this fanfic as I do need a decent amount of comments to make the fic functional so I do encourage commenters to leave as many questions as their heart desires. I appreciate any and all participation. Thank you.
The similarities between Ivo and Alex.
I'm sure many of you ego see this are familiar with a reoccurring headcanon that finds their way into my fanfics and that is the found family, parental relationship between Alex and Ivo.
I've done a lot with this concept over the years but the similarities between Ivo's concept art and season 3 Alex is straight up undeniable.
I would like to believe that Alex followed a lot in Ivo's footsteps as he found himself with his own company.
From the hair and the style it's giving a young Anthony Ivo and I'm living for it.
But Goddamn if they didn't massacre my boy with this hairstyle 😭 the chain is giving quarter life existential crisis
And don't get me started on Slade but that's a post for another time.
thoughts on the new peak at lex and slade we got in the season 3 trailer that just dropped?
I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THIS WAS A THING AND YOU HAD ME IMMEDIATELY LOOKING UP THE TRAILER 😭
@acenanxious DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS?? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?! WE NEED TO DISCUSS THIS ASAP BRO!
(Edit: my apologies. It JUST came out. 😭 I thought the time said 10 days ago not ten minutes ago)
ALEX.. MY BOY... WTF 😭 This haircut is not doing it for me but I would like to believe he's following in Ivo's footsteps especially with that fucking chain around his neck.
Slade is looking nice but I'm missing the fun loving hairstyle. I'm interested in seeing how he broke his arm.
It's giving bodyguard x CEO having his quarter life crisis and I'm living for it and now I'm going to go write some more fanfic...

The Pain Of Laughter — Lex Luthor/Slade Wilson Fanfic
Slade flirts with Alex but it doesn't turn out like how he intended
[Drabble Prompt: Are you trying to flirt? Because, you’re embarrassing yourself.]
Slade had always been a flirtatious individual. He had learned fast at an early age how a few compliments could work in his favor, and that, combined with the fact that he was a conventionally attractive man, meant that his words went a lot further than most. It never mattered if it was a man or a woman when it came to Slade. He knew how to get what he wanted. He knew, and he used it. He wasn't used to rejection. In fact, Slade didn't think he had received so much as a no when it came to sex since he had been a teen, but even that wasn't often. It hit hard.
It should be noted that Alex and Slade weren't on the best of terms and hadn't been since Alex had been hired on as their team's lead scientist. Slade made it his mission to make Alex as miserable as possible. He taunted him. He humiliated him. He insulted him. Alex didn't like him. That much was clear, and perhaps Slade did cross a line or two with him, but Slade would have assumed he would be over it by now. The two of them had reached a mutual tolerance for one another.
It should not come as a shock that Alex was not the most extroverted individual in the world, or at least when it came to his personal life. He didn't receive much action. It was hard for him. Of course there were many beautiful men and women who flirted with him, but he never made a proper connection with one of them, and he didn't seem like the type to do one-night stands. He needed someone who he could connect with. Attractiveness alone didn't cut it for him, and Slade found this out the hard way when he tried to flirt with Alex to get what he wanted. He thought it would work. In fact, he was almost certain of it until Alex laughed in his face over it.
Slade had wanted some new equipment, but Waller refused to approve it. He knew that Alex could whip it out in a matter of weeks, but in order for him to do that, he would either need orders or Slade would need to appeal to his better nature. The last time he wanted something like that, he had flirted with the hot little number who had been in charge of scheduling. His time off had taken priority over others who had waited months. He didn't even have to put out for that one, so he assumed that it would take even less effort with Alex. It seemed so simple, but Alex wasn't easy.
“Alex, you're a chemist, right?” Slade questioned as he leaned over the table to get a better view to watch Alex work, unable to miss how irritated he seemed at the invasion of his personal space. “You do chemistry.”
“I don't know if I would limit myself to such a simplistic title, but I do in fact engage in chemistry when my work requires it.” Alex responded as he continued to focus on his work at hand, not bothering to even look at Slade as he continued. “Why?”
“Maybe we should get together and experiment a bit. See what kind of reaction occurs.” Slade mused with a smile on his face, watching with interest as Alex's movements froze as he looked up at him only to burst out in a fit of laughter a few seconds later. "Okay, the laughter kind of hurts my feelings a bit.”
“Are you trying to flirt? Because you're embarrassing yourself.” Alex responded as he wiped the tears from his eyes, shaking his head as he looked over the file Slade had slid over, which made him realize the reason behind Slade's words. “All over some equipment.. I swear.. What has this world come to?”
“I thought you'd like it.” Slade reasoned with a halfhearted shrug, not bothering to hide his irritation when Alex tossed the file in a drawer to be forgotten about. “Come on Alex.. I don't want much here.”
“Do those lines ever work? Because I have to admit I've heard better from the brain-dead supermodels." Alex mused as he took a moment to entertain Slade’s moment of desperation, kicking the drawer shut once more when Slade tried to open it to retrieve the file. “If you want the equipment, then I need orders for them.”
"Supermodels flirt with you?” Slade asked as he tried to open the drawer once more, only for Alex to kick it shut again, not bothering to hide his desperation. “Alex, come on. Please?”
“For the last time, it's Lex, and my answer is no.” Alex responded in an irritated tone, shaking his head a bit as he headed off to check on his subordinates. “I have better shit to do than listen to your half-hearted attempts at flirting.”
Alex could be a real asshole sometimes when he wanted to be, and Slade knew this fact better than most. He had spent a whole five minutes on the Internet trying to find a pickup line that he could work with. One would assume that Alex would appreciate his efforts, but he didn't. Slade didn't hesitate to bitch about this fact to his own subordinates. He thought they would see his side of things, but of course they didn't. Those bastards took Alex's side.
“I just wanted some new equipment.” Slade complained as he leaned back in his chair, not bothering to hide how bothered he was over the whole situation. “He didn't need to laugh in my face about it. Bastard.”
“You did make his life miserable, Slade." Joseph reasoned in Alex's defense, not missing the glare he received from Slade in return. “I think you'll have to forgive him if he's immune to your charm.”
“Did I tell you about what he did with the drawer?” Slade questioned as he sat up abruptly, seeming desperate to make himself out to be the victim in this situation. “He could have broken my fingers!”
“Mr. Wilson?” Called out one of Alex's subordinates, offering a kind smile as she stood there with the rest of his team. “Mr. Luthor wanted us to deliver this to you.”
“As I was saying, no one can resist my charm.” Slade mused as he stood up to collect the equipment from Alex's team, hesitating for a moment as he noticed the note that had been attached. “…. Oh, that bastard.”

The Bed Compromise — Lex Luthor/Slade Wilson Fanfic
Slade and Alex are forced to share a bed
[Drabble Prompt: Remember, we have to get up early tomorrow.]
There were certain aspects of Alex's work that he liked more than others, but when it came to the part where he had to travel, he had to admit he could do without it. He had to attend a conference to see if he could work out a deal with some suppliers that used to be partnered with Amazotech. He had met them once or twice when he worked with Ivo. He had learned how to sweet-talk them into doing just about anything he wanted from Ivo. The man may have been a monster, but he was smart, and he had charisma. Alex learned from the best, but just in case shit went south, he decided to take Slade with him. Ivo had connections, but Alex had Slade. He was almost certain the conference would be a success, but that proved to be the least of their concerns, as when the two of them arrived at the hotel, it came out that the place had been overbooked and that the room they had reserved had been taken. Slade ordered them to find them a room when he saw how upset Alex was about the situation, and to have a man like Slade put a sword to your throat does something to a person, so the man at the front desk found them a room. The only issue was that it only had one bed. It was a take-it-or-leave-it kind of situation, and Alex took it.
The room was much smaller than the one Alex had booked. It would be a bitch to spend the next week in that room, but it wasn't like either of them had a choice. The two of them ordered in. Alex spent the next hour and a half unpacking as Slade tried to find a decent movie on television. He settled on some kind of action movie. Alex didn't see the appeal, but he watched with Slade as he ate. The bastard ate all of his own food and took half of his too. If it wasn't for his intense workouts, Alex had no doubt that he wouldn't have a nice layer of fat on him. Slade didn't even care when he complained about the stolen food. He never cared. Bastard.
Alex was the first to head off to the shower. Slade took his afterwards. He walked in as Alex was brushing his teeth. He didn't care that Alex was there. He never cared that Alex was there. Alex sometimes wondered if Slade wanted him to see. He wouldn't put it past him, but he paid Slade no mind, and once the two of them were done, they crawled into bed together. Alex slept on the edge of the bed, or at least until Slade pulled him into his arms. He tried to remove himself and even let out a few complaints, but Slade just laughed about it and held firm. He was a real bastard.
“You need to learn to keep your hands to yourself.” Alex complained as he tried to shove the other man's off of him to no avail, freaking the hell out as he felt something against his ass. “What the fuck is that?”
“Alex, relax. Just trying to get comfortable. You'll fall out of bed over there.” Slade muttered as he buried his face into the other man's neck, breathing in his scent as he continued. “Just relax..”
“No funny business.” Alex responded as he came to terms with what had occurred, letting out a long exhale as he closed his eyes. “We have to be up early tomorrow for that conference.”
“Don't remind me.” Slade muttered out with a sense of overall disdain, not missing how Alex smiled over his behavior. “You better take me out to lunch afterwards.”
Alex decided it was best not to respond to that. He instead went to sleep as Slade continued to hold him in his arms. Alex was the first to wake up that morning. He felt something hard against his ass. He immediately elbowed Alex in the stomach, which caused him to let go. Alex sat up as Slade rolled onto his back. He knew accidents like this happened, but damnit, he didn't need to feel it.
“I was having such a nice dream.” Slade muttered as he covered his face with his arm, looking over at Alex after a few seconds before he continued. “No need to be an asshole about it.”
“You try waking up sometime with that against your ass.” Alex complained as he kicked Slade to the other side of the bed, not missing the smile that crossed his face nor what that smile meant. “Of course you'd like that.”
“I'm not ashamed.” Slade reasoned with a half-headed shrug, watching with a sense of disappointment as Alex crawled out of the bed. “Alex—”
“Maybe you should be.” Alex responded as he walked over to the closet to retrieve some clothes, unable to miss how Slade whistled at him when he started to change. “I don't pay you to be a hooker, Wilson.”
“You couldn't afford my services.” Slade argued to save his ego, which caused Alex to burst out in a fit of laughter. “Now that's just rude.”

Stay Out Of The Kitchen — Lex Luthor/Slade Wilson Fanfic
Slade cooks Alex's favorite food which leads to a confession
[Drabble Prompt: I never liked it, I lied.]
It should be noted that Slade was not the best cook in the world, and there were several reasons for that. He never had someone teach him how to cook. He never had someone teach him much of anything when it came to how to be a man. He had to learn that on his own. He ran away from home at sixteen. He lied about his age in order to enlist, and thanks to some connections, he managed to falsify documents to make it seem legit. It was better than the alternative. He knew if he remained home with his abusive father, he probably wouldn't make it out alive. The military gave him a home. He learned how to be a man there, but he never learned a lot of basic life skills, such as how to cook. He tried his best, but he found MREs and television dinners to be easier. He could throw himself something together to survive, and sure, on occasion he ended up with food poisoning, but he made it this far just fine. He never had an issue with how he did stuff, but then he moved in with Alex, who knew how to cook. It was hard to return to TV dinners after that. Alex made breakfast, lunch, and dinner for him. He acted like the perfect house husband except for the fact that he also worked full time. Slade knew he should help out a lot more than he did, and he tried, but he struggled. Most takes, Alex would just take over for him before he had a chance to finish. It didn't matter if he said he could handle it. He tried. He did, but it was hard. It was because of Alex that Slade put in an effort to learn to cook. He wanted to make it clear to Alex that he loved him, so he learned to make his favorite food. He was so proud of himself, and Alex loved it.
“You didn't have to do this.” Alex remarked as he walked into the kitchen to find Slade in front of the stove, not missing the smile he held as he guided him into a chair at the kitchen table. “I know you must be tired after—”
“Me? Tired? I'm surprised you can even walk after last night.” Slade cut in with a sense of amusement detectable in his tone, setting the plate of food he had prepared in front of Alex before he took a seat next to him. "Eat, sweetheart.”
“Thanks.” Alex muttered as he picked up a fork, moving his food around his plate as he spoke. “You sure know how to make someone feel special.”
Most individuals would appreciate such an effort from their partner, but Alex was not one of those people for obvious reasons. He loved Slade, and Slade had many amazing qualities, such as his skills in the bedroom, but the man could not cook if his life depended on it. Alex knew he had himself to blame. Slade had tried so hard to learn to cook so he could surprise him with his favorite food, and Alex didn't have the heart to tell him how awful it was. He forced it down like a child would with medicine. He wanted to make Slade happy, but to do this every week was a nightmare. Slade watched Alex as he ate. Alex forced down about half of the meal before he bolted to the bathroom and found himself sick. Slade was quick to follow him. He took care of him much like he had the last time he cooked for him.
It killed Alex to tell Slade the truth, but he knew he had to tell Slade the truth if he wanted this to end. His stomach hurt, and his throat hurt from the acid in his stomach. He loved Slade, but he couldn't eat the food he made him. He was almost certain that it would kill him sooner or later. He took a few minutes to recover as Slade sat next to him on the bathroom floor. He looked so worried about him.
"Slade, I love you, but you're an awful cook.” Alex confessed as he rested his back against the bathroom wall, unable to miss the shocked look he was handed in return as if this fact wasn't obvious. “Stay out of the kitchen.”
“You said you loved my cooking.” Slade responded in a tone that reminded him of a puppy that had been kicked, watching with concern as Alex forced himself back onto his feet. “Alex—”
“I lied.” Alex confessed with a sense of hesitation, not bothering to hide his smile when the other man pulled him close to his chest. “I love you, and I love you enough to tell you the truth.”
“How about I order takeout for dinner?” Slade suggested, which earned him a half-hearted smile, almost seeming doubtful for a second before he asked another more important question. “I'm still fantastic in bed, right? You didn't lie about that, did you? You still love my—”
“I would never lie about that, Slade.” Alex assured as he kissed the side of his face, slipping out of his arms when he tried to lean down to receive more attention. “I'm going to lie down for a bit. Come join me once you finish with the dishes.”
Alex knew Slade had meant well, but when it came down to it, he'd much rather be devoured than eat whatever concoction Slade created for him in that kitchen. The rest of the day was spent in bed with Slade ordering pizza that night for dinner. It was so much better than the late breakfast the two of them had shared, and when the pizza was eaten, Slade decided to eat something else, which Alex had no issues with. He doubted he would be able to walk tomorrow, but that was a problem for tomorrow. Slade had skills. Damn if he didn't have skills.

No Backsies — Lex Luthor/Slade Wilson Fanfic
Slade and Alex trade with one another
[Toddler Lex Luthor/Preschool Aged Slade Wilson]
[Drabble Prompt: No backsies.]
It was weird to consider, based on how most parents would become by the time Slade and Alex became adults, that Slade and Alex were free to wander around on their own without supervision. It was kind of a miracle the two of them survived into adulthood. Neither of them would ever remember this interaction as adults, but it served as a lesson to them both about how bad deals could turn out and to think with care before a decision is made. Slade has been on vacation with his father. His mother had taken him out to see if she could score some Oxy on the street. There was a playground near where the deal was being made, so Slade wandered off to have some fun. He knew that it would be what was best for him, as the last time he had been in such a situation with one of his parents, he had almost been traded for the medication. His mother didn't even care when he walked off.
There weren't a lot of kids around. Slade had started to crawl up onto some of the equipment when he saw a kid much smaller than he was curled up in a play tube. Slade didn't hesitate to head over to him. Alex was adorable. He was quiet too, but he took Slade's invitation to play with him. He had bruises that matched Slade's own. It made sense why there were no adults around. The two of them were kids cut from the same cloth. It didn't matter. The two of them had fun.
It was much later when Slade and Alex found themselves hungry. Slade didn't have much other than some colorful tablets he found on the table, which he assumed to be candy, but Alex had a sandwich. It looked old and not like an adult made it, but it was still food nonetheless, and Slade wanted it. He didn't even like the weird adult candy his parents always took. It made them act all weird.
“You want to trade?” Slade asked as he pulled the colorful tablets out of his pocket, taking notice of how Alex looked as he ate some of the sandwich. “I'll give you some candy for half your sandwich.”
“Candy?” Alex questioned as he looked at the other boy with this sparkle in his eyes, not bothering to hide his smile as he tore his sandwich in half to share. “Okay. Here.”
“Thanks, Alex.” Slade responded as he handed over the colorful tablets to the other child, eating the other half of the sandwich as if he hadn't eaten in days. “Did you make this?”
“Yeah.” Alex confirmed as he ate the colorful tablets, seeming almost proud of it. “I made it all by myself.”
Slade and Alex finished their meal and then continued to play as usual. It wasn't too long after that that Alex collapsed and started to seize. Slade had seen it happen before but never to someone smaller than him. He froze, and then he screamed. There was a man who came, and he took Alex from him. Someone else came and took him back to his mother. He was shaken. He never meant to hurt Alex. It was rare for that to ever happen to his parents. He didn't think that it could happen to Alex. He tried to tell his mother about it, but she was too high out of her mind to care. It wouldn't be until much later in life that Slade would ever find out what happened to the kid. He didn't even know it was Alex until he found an incident in his medical records, but Alex didn't remember. He didn't remember much, and he didn't want to remember. It had been hard for him back then. It had been hard for them both.

No It Doesn't — Lex Luthor/Slade Wilson Fanfic
Slade mentions that he took Alex out to his colleagues
[Drabble Prompt: That SOOO classifies as a date.]
“Where the hell did you go last night?” Joseph asked as he met Slade in the break room to have coffee, unable to miss the tired look on his face as he filled his thermos. “You didn't answer any of my calls or my texts. I have exes that answer more than you do.”
“I wouldn't tell Ivo that if I were you.” Slade responded as he sealed the lid on his thermos, leaning back against the counter afterwards as he decided to confront the question head-on. “Alex wanted to see this movie last night, but he didn't want to go alone, so I took him out.”
“So you two went out on a date?” Joseph questioned with this smug look on his face, not leaving room for Slade to respond before he yelled this little detail across the break room for their other team member to hear. "Ethan, they went out on a date!”
“No— No, it wasn't a date. It was just dinner and a movie.” Slade responded immediately as he rushed to deny the allegation, sloshing some of his coffee onto the floor as he waved his arms in front of him. “It wasn't a date.”
"Oh, so there was dinner?” Joseph asked with a smile spread across his face, wiping up the mess as he pushed Slade for more details. “Did you two split the check?”
“No, he paid.” Slade responded with a hint of reluctance, not needing a response to know what was assumed. “It wasn't a date!”
“I don't know, man. It sounds like a date to me.” Ethan mused, almost like he wanted to piss Slade off further, taking notice of the look he handed him in return and how much he looked like he wanted to punch him. “What happened afterwards?”
“I don't want to have this conversation anymore.” Slade muttered as he took his thermos and headed for the door, taking notice of the looks that followed him. “It wasn't a date!”
It was no secret that Alex wasn't exactly the most extroverted person in the world. In fact, he never went out unless he had to. He attended events and shit like that for his career, but that was business. Alex kept it professional. He never went out for himself, so when Slade saw that Alex was interested in a movie that was still in theaters, he asked him if he was going to see it on his night off, but Alex dismissed the idea. He claimed that he didn't want to go alone and that he would just watch it once it was released on digital. Slade didn't like this answer. In fact, he didn't like it so much that he offered to take Alex to see the movie. Alex had been reluctant at first, but after a few dismissive comments and a dinner invitation to make it seem casual, he agreed.
The whole interaction had been a fun time for them both. Slade drove Alex to a local diner near the theater. The two of them ate and chatted about this and that. It was casual, and once dinner was over, the two of them went to see the movie. It was late when the two of them left. Alex was ecstatic. He talked about the movie the whole drive home. Slade hadn't seen him this happy in a long time. It was perhaps this fact that drove Alex to invite him inside his apartment, and if shit escalated from there, then that was their business. It wouldn't be the first one-night stand Slade had had. He doubted it would be the last either. It didn't mean what occurred was a date.
It was around noon when Slade picked up some food from a local Chinese restaurant before he headed down to the lab to eat with Alex. He knew Alex wouldn't stop for lunch otherwise, and based on the night the two of them shared, he seemed happier to see them than usual. The two of them sat at Alex's desk and ate as Alex ranted about his work. Slade didn't understand it much, but he loved to see the passion in Alex's eyes. He could listen to him yap on and on all day if he had to. He wasn't sure when he started to talk about his own work, let alone what happened in the break room earlier, but he never would have assumed there would have been an issue with it. It was casual. It wasn't a date. It was never intended to be a date. He didn't understand the reason Alex looked so damn hurt when he laid that fact out.
“Joseph and Ethan are on my ass about this idea that the two of us went on a date last night. I mean, can you believe that?” Slade ranted as he ate lunch with Alex in the lab, not missing how sad Alex seemed as he watched him slurp up the noodles out of his Chinese takeout box. “Alex?”
“I thought it was a date.” Alex muttered with a clear sense of disappointment in his tone, shoving his chair back from his desk before he continued. “I need to get back to work.”
“Alex!” Slade called out as he watched Alex walk away with this kicked puppy expression written all over him, letting out a tired sigh as he realized his mistake. “Damnit.”

Confessions & Defense — Lex Luthor/Slade Wilson Fanfic
Slade tries to defend his behavior but ends up making a confession to Alex when the two of them get into a fight over the whole situation
[Drabble Prompt: Sorry I’m protective over the things I love.]
No one claimed that it was simple to be a bodyguard, but Slade had done it before. In fact, he had worked for some very powerful and influential people over the years. He knew what to do, but Alex was far from the easiest person to work for, not because there were people after him or because he was a danger to himself, but because Slade had found himself emotionally involved. Slade wasn't even sure how he had let this happen, honestly. He had hated Alex when the two of them met, but then he had saved him, and then there were the months the two of them had spent with each other. He had given him a job as he worked to get his company off the ground. Alex was kind to him when he didn't have to be. It wasn't his fault, but he knew better.
Alex was an attractive man. There was no denial about that fact, and the fame attracted all kinds of individuals to him. Cat described him as the next Anthony Ivo. It was a massive hit in the media, and Slade hated it. He hated how people looked at Alex. He hated how people spoke to him. He hated how much they wanted him, but there was one incident where a model had asked Alex out that Slade kind of snapped. It wasn't like Slade didn't receive his fair share of attention either, but this bitch was all over Alex, and Alex actually kind of seemed interested. She was in school to be a doctor. She was hot and smart. Slade broke her damn wrist when she touched Alex. It was clear Alex did not like it. He rushed to attend to the woman and even sent her home in a taxi. The event ended a lot sooner than it was supposed to due to his little outburst. Alex looked pissed at him.
“What the hell was that, Wilson?!” Alex shouted as he paced back in front of his office, shaking his head in disbelief as he let out a slight laugh. “Are you jealous? Not getting enough attention of your own?”
“She was told three times to back off. I was just doing my job.” Slade reasoned in his own defense as he leaned against the wall, not missing how mad Alex was over the whole situation. “Alex.”
“No. No, I don't want to hear it. I don't want to hear it.” Alex cut in before Slade had a chance to try and talk him down, becoming even more aggressive when he considered what happened. “You always do this!”
“Sorry I’m protective over the things I love.” Slade responded with his voice raised, taking notice of how Alex froze at his words, which caused him to backtrack awkwardly. “I mean the job.”
“Yeah.” Alex muttered as he sat down at the desk, his voice much quieter after that little confession. “You're lucky I don't fire your ass over that little stunt.”
Alex froze at Slade's words. Slade never meant to tell Alex that, and it was clear that they both knew that his comment about loving his job was absolute bullshit. Alex could see it written all over his face. Slade watched as Alex logged onto his computer to contact his PR team about the incident. It wouldn't be the first time some shit like this had occurred, but yet he kept Slade around. He chose to deal with the issues as they came. He chose to deal with Slade. That was his choice.
“I'll contact the legal team and make sure she settles.” Alex remarked with a sigh, shaking his head a bit before he stood up from his desk once more. “You need anger management classes.”
“I don't need shit.” Slade complained like the mere idea was an insult to him, watching with interest as Alex started to pace again. “Alex.”
“Lex.” Alex corrected him almost in a bitter fashion, crossing his arms as he continued. “My name is Lex.”
“Last I checked it was Alexander, but—” Slade started to respond before he had items from around the office thrown at him, putting his arms up to defend himself as Alex continued to attack him. “Calm down— I didn't name you that!”
“Get out!” Alex demanded in a fit of anger, pointing to the door before he spoke again. “Out!”
Slade didn't need to be told twice about that. He headed out of Alex's office the moment he was ordered to. It was much better than being pelted with objects. He now knew that Alex hated his government name more than he hated his nickname. He now knew how to fuck with him even more now. It would be a distraction from the mess he had created for himself with his little confession. It would take a while before Alex would forget about what he said and even longer for him to move on from the mess he had caused him. The bitch should have listened. He could handle flirting, but she didn't have to touch him like that. She didn't have to do it in front of him. It could have been seen as protection, but that's not how Alex took it.
