I hoped to add Doctrine to my Zend Framework 2 project.
One crucial oversight I ran into was that the module's config file (config/module.config.php) needs to have 'namespace ____' before returning an array if you want to use the abstract doctrine settings below:
I've installed the ZfcUser module in a Zend Framework 2 skeleton application using Composer, and I want to add unit testing. Out of the box, the Zend Tutorial for adding unit testing to your project was helpful, but incomplete.
After following along, I got the following exception:
Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Zend\ModuleManager\Exception\RuntimeException' with message 'Module (ZfcBase) could not be initialized.
So I googled around some stack exchange threads and eventually came across a suggestion (for non-composer users) to add the autoload_classmap files to the library modules directly.
In the test directory's Bootstrap.php file, I looked for AutoloaderFactory::factory and added another key/value pair to the configuration passed in
basically targeting those external autoloader classmap files directly. That seemed to get things moving in the right direction. I now had a new, more encouraging exception:
Zend\ServiceManager\Exception\ServiceNotCreatedException: An exception was raised while creating "Navigation"; no instance returned
I defined (in ./config/autoload/global.php) the nav configuration:Â

and the site itself loads in the browser but the unit test seems to fail loading that configuration. Then I discovered that the project's config/application.config.php file needed to be modified.
The 'config_glob_paths' array needed the default 'config/autoload/{,*.}{global,local}.php" value updated to use a path relative to the config file (so a test suite with a differing file structure would still find the correct global autload file.
I put the following:

__DIR__ . '/autoload/{,*.}{global,local}.php',
),
And lo, my site both loaded in the browser and ran through the phpunit tests I had defined!
