I bumped into my ex the other day

See I was in the elevator in the corner headed towards the 3rd floor

When I heard a voice from outside ask if there is room for one more

and in he stepped

Stood right next to me

I looked at him

Then he looked at me

He muffled an awkward Hello

And I greeted him with a simple Hi

I took a deep breath

I expected to be greeted by his Ralph Lauren scent,

but nothing

The strong hands that once held me and arms that wrapped around me didn't seem so big anymore

Handsome, he was still but I no longer was filled of thoughts of us rolling in the sheets doing naughty with him

I no longer had a taste for 6 feet of bald headed chocolate goodness

My mouth was dry

completely lacking of any and all desire of our former life

I had often thought of this moment and I expected my heart to beat outside my chest at the sound of his voice

I thought I would hold him and he would hold me and we would fall in love again

I thought he we see me and apologize for all the ain't shit foolishness he put me through and I would apologize for the manipulation and game playing

The thrill was gone and in its place?

Silence

Only the dull humming of the elevator going from floor to floor and then,
