Wanted to make more marker art, so I decided to make a piece featuring some griffin characters I designed based off of the gatekeeper ride at cedar point! Well, actually the gold one on the bottom is the one directly based off of the rollercoaster, the big orange and black one is actually based off of the griffin plushies that used to be sold at the gatekeeper gift shop when the ride opened. I bought an orange one, and I’ve still got it!

I hope to try and draw a ref of the big golden griffon at some point

had a fucking hilarious dream that tumblr replaced the "block" function with the far funnier "glock" function, which did the exact same thing except whenever anyone blocked you a random bullet hole, like a png of a bullet hole, would appear on your blog. discourse blogs were unreadable bc you'd go to the page and the sheer amount of bullet hole pngs stacked over the blogs obscured everything. I woke myself up laughing

Public Opinion Poll: Which is the best early/mid 2000′s McDonald’s happy meal Plush toy that kids would collect and trade and talk about in school ?

The Cat (2005), Furby (2000 ?), Neopets (2005, though there was also a set in 2004, +others), OR Build a Bear Workshop (2006)?

#I remember being invested in all of these though by the build a bear workshop era I was probably considered a little too old #to care about getting the stuffed toys from mcdonalds hgh there was still a small community of a few kids in my class that #I could be obessed with them over. I remember I used to stay behind during lunch break or something (not sure when I just #remember being in the classroom alone with someone) and we'd play stories with the build a bears as if they were dolls #AND THEY ALWAYS HAD better luck than me and had the cool ones. I kept getting brown bears. tan bears. brown bear again. I was like #GOD can I at least get a FROG or something gj.. or the Ultimate Creature (the white cat). I remember actually having my parents #ask if they could just straight up buy the toys for $2 without even getting the meal just because I wanted the cat one so bad and could nev #ver get it by chance. we would ask at the counter like 'do you have the CAT one? i will BUY it please'#I thought the neopets were cool but I actually wasn't into neopets so I rememebr being the lest invested in them since i had no idea #what they were. (if only I had been aware of.. the wonder of the Aisha.. I would have been obsessed with them if I knew of them lol)#i LOVED the cat one of course and tried to collect them all and I STILL have some of them though theyre in pretty bad condition #I might have to say the Furby's are best though??? just because (if i rememebr correctly) they all have different functions?#like theyre not JUST stuffed animal toys. one of them had a tail you could pull out. and one had color changing eyes if you #rubbed their eyes. one of them lit up or made noise or something. one had ears that would twicth i think?? like they actually had elements #that made them interesting to play with. I never collected them all though and nobody i knew really seemed to care about trading them. thoug #h i did steal one from my neightbor one time ghjbhbj... my child mind rationalization was i guess that since they didn't care much about the #m anyway.. it's Free Real Estate #ANYWAY.. still a very hard choice...#neopets I just included because they're cool and I remember them and some other people might have a liking for them even if i didnt at the #time (in my ignorance of aishas). the cat ones are like.. THEYRE CATS!! i love cats.. and I loved them.. BUT the furbies were actually #interactive and interesting. BUT the sociopolitical climate of me and literally two other people having an immense obsession with the build #a bears and trading them constantly and building a world with them.. hmmm....#I think I'd still have to say the cats are my favorite.. I just can't get past the fact that I love cats so much. BUT furby is close second.#then build a bear. neopets last but not because theyre bad just because I didnt know enough to appreciate them at the time #and only traded a few with other kids once or twice #the BEST would be cat toys but with furby functionalities. some of them have color changing eyes and moving parts and stuff.#I don't keep up with them as often anymore but everytime I pass a mcdonalds it seems like the toys suck now. like they're just chunks #of cheap plastic that don't do much. 2022 mc'ds could NEVER do 2000's furby. never #OR THE SONIC GAMES!!! i still have one of the games. they had like full playable games on these little plastic things #cheap still but at least with some effort... bring back cat plushies 2022 so I can collect them all as a weird adult..
