meet the student:
from a young age, bree knew that cleveland, ohio was too small for her. her parents did nothing but spoil & encourage their only daughter, something that she wouldnât deny even to this day. with her father being a prominent lawyer money was something that was never lacking in the brown household & she knew how to use that to her advantage. every whim, every short-lived trend was something she got. something she set in her old high school.
but conquering ohio public school didnât seem to be enough of a challenge for bree. too easily done during her freshman & sophomore years, becoming the obvious choice for cheer captain as a junior, something that had never before happened in the schoolâs history. but it was then that she heard about cia & from there it was only a matter of time. itâs her second year at the school, already poised for dominance that she worked so hard for her junior year. sure, sheâs concerned about where sheâs going to go next but this year? bree plans to enjoy the fruits of her labor any & every way that she can.

meet the student:
how do i describe a nerd like mason? the youngest of three boys, he grew up in a house that was never going to be so great for a weaker guy like him. footy was always more discussed than science, much to masonâs dismay. people would always ask him about how his brothers were doing before himself, and mason felt like he was living in the shadow, unable to ever get out. he knew heâd have to move from his hometown at some point, and it was the start of highschool that one of his teachers very quickly handed him the pamphlet to cia. it was what he wantedâ the exact chance to get out from under his brothers shadow. he applied, and of course, he got in with a scholarshipâ he was already on track to be top of the class, it made sense for them to want him. now heâs been out in queensland for years, thriving in a space where heâs just unknown for once.Â

What is tumblr used for?
hey, good question, because i know it's a wee bit different. tumblr acts as the school's intranet, which is basically just a way for students to interact with one another, check their grades, and keep up with information regarding coastal academy. most of the interactions for the roleplay happen on discord. you can post starters and replies on tumblr, but it's not essential, if that makes sense? there are similar interactions in the discord server. other than that, your tumblr is also used to post edits, inspo, and certain tasks.
good morning, coastal students!
today is the day we officially kick off the school year with our first event: sun and snags on the beach. this is the perfect opportunity to meet new faces, reconnect with old friends, and start building those dorm rivalries in a fun and relaxed setting.
what to expect:
a classic aussie bbq with all the trimmings (yes, there will be veggie options too!).
icebreaker games to help you bond with your new mates.
a friendly beach cricket match between the dormsâtime to show off your skills!
what to bring:
sunscreen: itâs the gold coast, so the sun doesnât mess around.
togs: whether youâre swimming or just chilling by the water, be ready to enjoy the beach.
a towel: because no one likes sandy seats.
a good attitude: but i'm sure this goes without saying.
after 5 pm:
once the event wraps up, students will have free time for the rest of the evening. this means you can explore, relax, or do whatever you likeâwithin reason, of course. đ we know some of you seniors might head to the pub for a round of pool or a cold drink. just remember: youâre representing coastal, so keep it classy, even when there arenât any staff watching!

Can we put characters in teams they don't know how to play yet?
absolutely! there are some sports that aren't as common in america so it would make sense they don't know how to play completely, especially if they're an international student. for the new students, unless they're on scholarship for specific athletic abilities (e.g. football/soccer) there will be 'tryouts' at the start of each season. i'll be posting a time line of sports seasons next week closer to the start of classes, and at that time â or anytime, honestlyâstudents can choose to join teams/clubs they haven't listed on their applications. long story short: on your app, feel free to anticipate what your muse will try out for. have a think about transferrable skills. example; one character has played baseball in america and is trying out for the cricket team because there's transferable skills there. if your character plays ice hockey, they may try their hand at field hockey, if they were a big american-football player, maybe they try australia rules football or rugby. but know that clubs and teams you put on your app can be altered at anytime, and there will be a masterlist in the discord server with who is on what team as well as their results etc. hope that helps!
