This Flowboard is aimed at all coaches irrespective of age, experience or qualifications. The development of your coaching philosophy is an ongoing process which takes time and lots of application. Wherever you are in that process I hope these boards will jiggle your grey matter and help in some small way. Whilst it is useful to view these boards on your own the greatest benefit will come from viewing and discussing these boards in a group format with your fellow coaches. The advocacy page at TSE provides plenty of articles which may help reveal opportunities for your continued growth. Take it for a spin at WWW.THESOCCEREDUCATOR.COM All the best, Alan

Hi Coaches, you will find this week a session on key moments in attacking play. Â This session is geared to a more advanced group of 14+ players who are technically capable to play under pressure in tight areas. Â Though this session can be modified by making the spaces larger and limiting the defenders.
This session is intended to train players in the art of quick play and decision making. Â It will also give players the chance to be creative in tight areas. Â Players will need to be mobile and move early and often for them to be successful. Â Enjoy the session and if you have any questions or comments please let me know. Â Also please feel free to visit my website with more sessions and other resources, www.davidmccarthy.ca
Happy Coaching!!!!

I played semi-professionally for 15 years and know I speak for other...
1. Failing to âattackâ the ball
It is common for young players to be hesitant instead of going towards the ball. Donât shout and scream at them; incorporate some drills into your practice that work on players directly going to attack a bouncing ball or ball coming towards them at speed.
