CNCO Headcannon ~ First Time They Say I Love You
Richard
This wouldn’t be the first time he has said it but it’s definitely the most stressed he has been
Not because he doesn’t think you will say it back but because he just cares so much
His sitting with you on the couch watching movies
He’s looking at you smiling as you jump in his arms scared of the horror film you were watching
He leans over to pause it
“Why did you do that?” you ask confused.
“I love you.” he speaks before you even get the sentence out. “I was nervous to tell you but I love you so much.”
You smile because his words melt your heart, “I love you too Rich.”
Then he is taking you straight to his bedroom because let’s be real…it’s Richard.
Erick
He would be so confident and wouldn’t even think about it.
Like he realises it when he sees you after tour, he had been faithful even though you weren’t exclusive
When you knocked on his apartment door, he bounced over and once he opened it - that was the moment he realised it.
You jumped in his arms and he said it straight away.
“I missed you and I love you.”
“W-what?”
“I know we aren’t together but I do. I love you. I don’t want anyone else. I want you.”
You smile so excited because this is what you were hoping for.
“I love you too.”
Joel
Prepares how he will tell you that he loves you
Talks it through with the boys
“How do I do it? What do I say?”
Richard laughs at him, “you say ‘I love you’ idiot.”
Takes you for a fancy dinner, holding your hand across the table
He goes to say it but then the waiter comes over and ruins the moment.
He feels awkward for the entire dinner and you just ignore it even though you can tell somethings up.
You figure you will talk to him when you get back to his apartment
Before you can make it back he confesses it all
You’re walking along the river outside the restaurant when he says it all at once
“I’ve been acting weird tonight. I know. I’m sorry but I just, I’ve wanted to tell you how I feel.”
“How you feel?”
“I-I love you.”
You hug him rubbing his back to soothe him, “I love you too.” you whisper in his ear because everyone’s around and it makes you nervous.
You go home and spend the night in each others arms

He wants this to be special because it’s a big deal for him too
You’re on a date when he does it
You’re on a hike and you stop at a look out
He takes your hand and sits you down on a rock
“Listen, I’ve been meaning to talk to you.”
You get nervous because all these bad thoughts run through your head
You’re thinking he’s going to dump you mid-hike
“I never thought I would ever say this but I,” he isn’t looking at your eyes at first but eventually he does and he smiles. “I love you.”
You’re almost giddy but you just smile and tell him you love him
He has a super cute smile for the rest of the hike, looking at you like he’s so deeply in love with you
Chris
He would be super nervous but laughing a lot
You would be playing with his hair when he says it
He has planned to say it 100x but he gets too nervous
You’re laughing with him about some stupid joke as you play with his hair
He blurts it out mid-laughter, clutching his stomach “I love you.”
You both immediately freeze
“You what?”
He gets nervous for a minute but then says it again
You make him sit up and you straddle him quickly kissing him
“I love you so much.” you mumble against his lips
