Finally getting around to posting a commission I worked on a while ago. This one was an illustration for the first cover of a series of children’s books the commissioner was writing. I love working on large illustrative pieces like this, and really hope I can do more of the same moving forward! Throwing up a version with and without text. Process video will be posted soon. 

Recently finished up another flat color reference sheet, this time for a creature design commission. The basic idea was an octopus-like predator that hunts utilizing a “net” of tentacles and webbing. Lots of fun to work on, I love that I got to draw a spooky floating balloon octopus. 

Just getting around to posting this concept art commission I finished a while back. The basic idea was to design an aquatic humanoid race that was native to a world the commissioner is in the process of building, with a few specifics. Tons of fun to work on, I love putting creatures together. 

Just finished up this flat, black and white environment concept commission of a small town situated on top of a group of floating islands. Whew, it’s a been a while. Getting back into the habit of regularly posting work. I have a big backlog of finished commissions and projects to get through, as well as a bunch of new things I’m working on, so stay tuned.  This one was one of several cyborg dinosaurs I was commissioned to design, this one being a Therizinosaurus. It was a ton of fun to work on, and I’ll probably end up posting the other dinos I worked on as well soon.

Heyhey, have more time for art now and have been doing a bunch of freelance and personal work, so I’m resurrecting this account with some new stuff and hopefully get back to actively posting.  Let’s kick things off with something Pokemon related. I was commissioned to make an illustration of the the three legendary birds. The client wanted them detailed and realistic, and gave me free reign to have fun with their designs. This was intended to be (has already been) printed as a large vinyl decal that the client wants to apply to his vehicle in the spring once we are safe from the snow. Once we get it applied, I’ll be sure to grab some photos! I recorded the process, and will be uploading time lapse videos of this piece in parts. Keep an eye out for the links, I’ll post them here as they are uploaded.
