GE's 'Killer' Podcast Entertains While Introducing Viewers to Its Sonic Healing Tech

GE made something as obscure and complicated as its "sonic healing technology" fascinating for consumers by creating a sci-fi podcast that entrenched listeners in the world of Nicky Tomalin, a podcaster following the work of cryptologists who set out to decipher a message sent from aliens 70 years ago -- one that, apparently, would kill you if you listened to it.

The campaign further built out Nick's world through an alternate reality game. And while listeners were being entertained, they got to learn about GE's sonic tech too.

Every year my friend throws a fantastic Passover Seder with a theme. Past themes have included: 

“Seder is Coming”

(Game of Thrones) and 

“Iron Manischewitz”

(An Avengers Seder). The theme is carried throughout her customized Haggadah, the text that sets forth the order of the Passover Seder. Each year I get the chance to design the cover of the Haggadah to enhance the fun atmosphere of the gathering. Guests sing the songs together, drink wine, read passages, eat much brisket and hunt for the afikomen before returning home with their special Haggadah keepsake to remember the celebration by.

For this year’s theme, I took our inspiration Ruth Bader Ginsburg and swapped out her typical doily accessory for a necklace of parsley from the seder plate. We added payots to her hair, a traditionally male Orthodox tradition. But old Ruthie certainly has never had trouble bucking tradition. We also worked in a few other subtle symbols for guests to find.
