to get you in context with this idea of why young dark Danny… this is like a manifestation of Jazz’s connection/bond with Dan. The concept of keeping Dan’s soul as a kid worked for me to express the brutal post-traumatic events that led Phantom to become  Dark Danny. The soul with a permanent scar… when all went down.
