I’m gonna continue the Wrightdot comic, I got the third page finished yesterday but I was kind of... upset. Yesterday.

So yeah, the tease for the third page is here on Twitter, I mostly frequent there than I do here.

And since I’m finished 3/9 pages, I feel as though I should take a break in-between each 3 pages and make a different Ace Attorney sketch. JUST A SKETCH, not gonna go all out with them.

I know, I’m sorry for whining and being annoying about it but this is what I mean. It’s this kind of shit right here is why I’m upset ever since Capcom cafe posted it.

It’s not funny at all, It’s not cute, it’s not “hee hee, this is a relatable funny joke”. And people wonder and say “I don’t see Godot hate in the fandom, not recently, where are the receipts?” Well here’s one of them.

Like, congratulations, thanks for making us Godot fans feel awful for liking him and enjoy seeing that he’s not forgotten. I see people saying “why is he still here?” “Why is Capcom still trying to remind us he exists.” My god.

It’s bad enough there’s little fan art of him, this only discourages more to not draw him, but they’re literally trying to erase him out of the main cast and say it’s better.

Again. It’s not funny. It’s not cute. It’s not playfully rude. Again, I’m sorry for ranting but this is just mean than funny and I don’t want to sit by and take the hits.

I dunno why, but just these two words gives such an immense, dominant aura

I mean, Christ, being a Godot fan, you’re constantly gonna see people hating him, not disliking him, hating him. Then they’re gonna try and convince you to hate him too with the same old reasons; new person, same song.

I’m a new Ace Attorney fan! So obviously I wasn’t there 20 sum years ago when hating Godot was reasonable and even to this day people jump on the bandwagon over hating the NONWHITE character over some HIGHLY subjective moments or events that GIVES him the hate.

Seriously, like, the double standard this fandom got is noticeable. When beloved characters have made questionable remarks, they’re like, “oh no, this was out of character of him/her, translation error, etc.” but god forbid it can’t be said the same for the coffee addict.

Why is it that he gets so much blown over hate when there are literally worse criminals in the game that should get more vocal hate. “Cuz he made a sexist comment to the whip lady” yeah, no, if ya ask me, I saw that more about her age than her gender.

I MEAN FRANZ IS 18 or 19 in that game, yeah?? OBVIOUSLY she’s inexperienced, still green of being a lawyer despite being well known in her own country. I would be wary if somebody is so young and tries to handle a big case like Turnabout Bridge. Plus if ya ask me (and I say this, cuz I love Franziska, she’s a queen, I’d polish her whip three times a day for her) but if I ever met her in real life, in that moment where she talks with Godot, my first impression would be “wow, a woman with fancy clothes, a whip, looks very young, is demanding she takes this case.” YEAH, I would have thought she’s a bit spoiled and wants everything to go her way, obviously I would not be happy with her. So again, I’m pretty sure what happened between Godot and Franz was more of an age thing than a gender thing but as I mentioned before, the people‘s reasons for hating on Godot are through HIGHLY SUBJECTIVE moments.

So back to my point. When I saw that BEAUTIFUL official art, containing characters I recognized and loved, especially my morally, gray, in need of some therapy, coffee man

I WANTED TO MAKE ART OF HIM AND PHOENIX TOGETHER. But instead I see people saying, Athena or Blackquill should be there. I’m not saying they shouldn’t be there, but when someone says they should replace Godot’s spot, that just comes across a slap to the Godot fans who WERE happy to see him there.

They could have said, “I wish they’d made room for Athena and Blackquill” NOT “I wish they’d replace XYZ with Athena and Blackquill”. Like, seriously. Is that not hard to type that instead of a more aggravated comment?

And yes, they are my second favorite pairing of the Ace Attorney series! There’s very little fanfic of them and wholesome art of them either. You’d think there’d be more art of Will Powers considering he’s like, a frequent side character in the series, since he’s like, in three cases.

I’m currently working on some angsty Wrightdot comic (post TaT obviously) since I finally learned the basics of comic templates in CSP

It’s gonna be 9 pages but the fact this ONE page took me 2 days to finish, I realized it might take way longer than I thought.

So I’m gonna post at least ONE panel for EACH FINISHED page, as a teaser. So this right here, means page 1 is done

Gumshoe finally got a boyfriend who can feed him actual food, and treat him right too 😤

It’s definitely a rare pair but I have seen a few stories of these two, and “art”. The more I thought about it, the more I liked the pair!
