Right so apparently people don't like Sharon as the Power Broker and I'm shook?

First off all, Marvel has a sexism problem. I know that. Everyone does. But if you think the only female representation we deserve is of female superheroes then you don't get it. Having women only play superheroes enforces the trope that it is our job to uphoal morals, that we are some statues of virtues. In ordee to get true and right represtation we have to have a spectrum. There are women in real life who are amazing and smart and heroic and there are women who are shitty and toxic. Having a complex female character who is a villain is a GOOD thing.

Secondly, people who say her character did a complete 180... And??? Sharon got fired and declared a traitor for helping Steve and they just abandoned her. She went through something traumatic and was betrayed and y'all want her to continue to be a hero? Also how much about her did we know about her to begin with.

Thirdly, people who are saying about how Peggy would be disappointed are just not realising that this isn't about Peggy, it's about Sharon. There is NO ONE who loves Peggy as much as I do but Sharon is a different character and honestly, I want to see how this Agent Carter is contrasted by the original Agent Carter.

Basically, I am happy that we have a new female villain who's backstory actually justifies what she's doing. We've had three female villains so far (four if you include ghost) and having a new one is amazing and I love it.

Sharon deserves to commit some crimes. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Plus the energy we get from that and see how her relationship with Sam will falter is something I am here for! Sam and Sharon fighting, Sharon eventually staying evil because she wants too or becoming an anti hero??? The possibilities are endless. It's about developing and plus we are getting alot of female heroes in Phase 4 we need female villains as well.

EXACTLY. Male villains do the anti-hero/evil/bad thing all the time and we just accept it (some even sympathize with it) but then when a woman is clearly doing the same things, now people don’t “get it” and they “did a complete 180 of her character.”

Yeah, it’s called storytelling. It’s OK to be disappointed in what Sharon is doing. That’s the point.

So before the finale aired some people wanted bucky to say "lets hear it for captain america!" as a way to introduce sam as cap and a callback to the 1st cap movie. And this would have been fine but I'm really glad they didn't.

Because instead of bucky introducing sam as cap... its sam himself saying "I am captain america" in the beginning. Its a civilian saying "that's captain america" to his friend. Its sam making a huge speech and then a first responder calling him "cap" because he needs help with something.

And I feel like that's way more rewarding and impactful. Because not only is it sam reassuring himself of his new role. Its the civilians. Because at the end of the day... yeah bucky is gonna support sam as cap but that's nothing compared to the people cap fights for. The people he's sworn to protect cheering him on.
