I have 3 ig accounts, my art account (MedrareMoxxie), my public personal account (that I’ve had for over 13 years, @badmoonrisen) and my private personal account (for family & close friends).
My personal public account started as just selfies and the occasional nature/life photo, but has since been a place where I rarely post and when I do, it’s a photo dump of clouds, sunsets and starry nights.
Clouds are something I’ve found calming, fascinating and inspiring for as long as I remember. Unfortunately, I tend to overthink and over do it whenever I try to draw or paint them. They seem simplistic, but to achieve the cozy, peaceful and magical nature that I love, has proven more difficult than I anticipated. Therefore, I’ve collected photos, paintings and constantly stare and analyze every example I can find, and I practice new ideas and techniques constantly because I’m determined to capture and learn what makes clouds (especially at sunset) so special.
It’s also why I started a new tumblr, to post pieces of my exploration, and collect new inspiration as I journey.
