Potosi, Bolivia. Love hate relationship with this place. Over 13,000 feet or 4000 metres. Very interesting place though. Video of the trip also here http://youtu.be/26omxtas7Qk

Caye Caulker Belize was amazing. It was one of many amazing spots we saw this year. Check out the video here http://youtu.be/26omxtas7Qk
We packed 2 surfboards, 1 GoPro, some hiking gear and took off to travel through the Americas. We climbed Mayan ruins, hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, crossed the Bolivian Salt Flat, saw the Devil's Throat at Iguazu Falls and even got engaged at the Christ the Redeemer statue overlooking Copacabana Brazil. It was an amazing year of travel across 15 countries. Enjoy the vid.

Can't wait to give this board a try during the summer in Aus. Looks like it just makes ordinary surf too much fun.
Just left Rincon a few days ago. Wasn't this big at the time but had a fun wave and there was a great vibe in the water.
Loving the Go Pro challenge at the Billabong Pro Tahiti.
How nuts are these guys. Hats off to em. Check out Andres Flores at Puerto 2 - 2015 Wipeout of the Year Entry - XXL Big Wav...

Missing work right about now. The DHD crew sent over Mick Fanning's board from the J Bay comp. www.facebook.com/beachinsurfpage
Really like this article. In a world where we are shrinking our boards more and more for our local beach breaks you need a different line of thinking when you have the chance to travel and take on better surf. My smallest board is a 6'6 that I'm travelling with at the moment.
Sick board. Rode the RMS Diamond Disc before I shot off to LA a few months ago. Here's the video on what I thought. Had a tonne of speed and well worth considering for the summer quiver. Rex at RMS is a local shaper on the Central Coast in NSW Australia and he has some great designs. Check em out in store at Beachin.
Surfers love travelling. Always pays off to go check out what's around in some of the amazing places surfers visit beyond the beaches.
Just left Ilha Grande with a quick stop through Paraty in Brazil. In Ilha Grande we hiked for 2 hours to get to a beach called Lopes Mendes. Pretty awesome beach and rated one of the best in the world for site seeing. Pretty good surf to be had too. I found a sweet 6'1 epoxy surfboard that ripped from a local guy lending out board for $30R. Was a pain to hike back for 2 hours after a surf but the local Caipirinhas hit the spot when we got back.

Yew Rusty Traveler review up. This is the board I'm travelling with at the moment. Can't wait to test it out in Nicaragua and some other surfing destinations that are worthy of such a board.
In this episode of BeachinSurfTV we checked out the Rusty Slayer which is an interesting board representing a shift in the market where surfers are looking for short step up boards. It's a bit of an oxymoron but with the blended features you end up with a board that will go great in solid surf but you can still rider 3-4 inches shorter than your standard high performance shortboard.
