We went to this friend’s housewarming on Saturday and this adorable little French girl was totally enamoured by me. She was asking questions about gender (she wanted to make sure I was a girl, because I have a deep voice) so I told her ‘when I was little they told me I was a boy’ and she was outraged. ‘But they can tell!’ She exclaimed. I told her ‘yes they looked at my body and told me I was a boy’.. And then she asked ‘tu as un zizi?’ (’do you have a willy?’) and I said ‘yes’.
Her mind.
Was blown.
‘But it’s obvious you’re a girl! You have earrings and long hair!’
She then asked me if I had a lover and I said ‘yes, several’. Ooh she loved that.
She went on to say she loved my blue eyes and we spent the evening listing all the words she knew in English and all the words I knew in French. In the end she decided I knew 32 things in French. Not bad.
It was a marvellous night,
who could ask for more.

Miho Hirano’s “The Beauties of Nature” at Corey Helford.
Currently on view at Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles, California is artist Miho Hirano’s devastatingly gorgeous exhibition, “The Beauties of Nature.”
Hirano’s paintings are quite simply pure dreams put to canvas, plucked directly from the otherworld of imagination - one where hers reigns supreme.
“The Beauties of Nature” will be on view until January 6th, 2018 and should not be missed if you’re in the area.

‘Did you hear the super moving story about the trans woman who was ugly but now she’s had the ultimate makeover and she’s finally pretty? Everyone cried, it was mega emotional. You HAVE to watch it…
Look at all this trans stuff!
This one’s about why makeovers are not the ultimate saviour of trans women and femmes and also why the story of Cinderella is just a tiny bit (very) problematic when we use it to describe trans experiences.
Woopeeeee
