A Six-Armed Lifting Woman

I went to Urban Outfitters for this, and I basically used one of the urban outfitter shoppers (those awful large loud bags that one day I wanna steal) and an armful of clothes (like 5-6 items). I eyed the cameras a lot, and the key is to look for a box that has the tab on top lifted.

^like this. having the tab up means there’s just a little extra slack on the spider wrap. that’s crucial to getting the camera without the noise of a key or ripping the box apart.

because of nerves and dealing with the constant presence of SAs walking by, I probably lingered a little too long and they started asking if I was looking for anything specific. so to get it over with I grabbed one (mine’s in black!), put it under my selected items and went to the changing rooms.

They counted my stuff, but I had the clothes laid over the camera inconspicuously and so that the hangers could be counted without removing them completely. Then it was just a matter of fiddling with the spider wrap between trying on clothes for those authentic clothing-changing-sounds (there was a little bit of box ripping involved, but I inevitably succeeded).

I put the instax in my bag (I’m like 99% sure there wasn’t an RFID as well, though I made sure to check and I’d advise you to do the same anyway), pocketed the tag, picked a few articles to “still decide on,” and handed the “reject” clothes to the SA at the dressing rooms.

I’m still in the business of petty theft, though I’ve definitely slowed down a bit since my lifting companions are scattered about at different colleges, and I work much more efficiently and confidently with someone to help play human blind spot.

I’ve probably lifted about $120 of various goods since my last update, most of which came from mini cosmetic hauls at Ulta and Sephora (we’re talking like 3 items total, I spent more than I saved) and a pretty decent one at Bath & Body Works.

Between lack of a partner and the general overbearing-ness of work and school it’s also hard to make time for trips to the mall or have any of the friends who are still in my area &are cool with me lifting go anywhere specifically to lift.

But I’m more than happy to give advice/tips to anyone who’d like it, feel free to send in asks (I just realized now asks weren’t enabled :’v) or pm me, and I’ll try my best to respond in a much more timely manner than I have recently.
