Today was even worse than yesterday. Well technically it was better calorie-wise but Iāve NEVER binged for so many days in a row. I was still over my maintenance so Iāve actually GAINED weight. I have less than a week to lose weight and Iām probably GAINING. Obviously I canāt know for sure because I donāt have a scale but I feel so shitty because Iām such a pig. Iāll do better.

Harm Reduction Eating Disorder-Edition
The following post might be triggering, altough not intended. This list is a collection of my own tips, tips I found on tumblr and tips my doctors and therapists told me:
Always carry something with actual sugar in it with you. No, not a zero sugar candy but something with glucose. Take it if you feel dizzy/ feel like you are about to pass out.
Eat if you want to drive/ride! Doesnāt matter if you wanna go somewhere by car or by bicycle. You are putting yourself and others at risk! Donāt. Do. It. If you donāt wanna break your fast ask someone else to get you there or take the bus. If you really need to get there by your own you should eat s o m e t h i n g. Maybe your safe food or some fruit.
Donāt trust people that claim to be a coach! Someone who suffers from an eating disorder would never share tips to destroy yourself! Most of them are old man that try to get your nudes. Never ever send them pictures or give them personal information. If you need to vent or you need something just text me and I will listen.
You donāt need to restrict like crazy in order to lose weight. Check out your basal metabolic rate. This is the amount of calories your body burns by simply existing, like laying in bed all day and not moving an inch. You should not eat less than your basal metabolic rate.
If you are a minor, donāt tell anyone. Donāt put your age in your description. There are creepy people out here that are looking out for young girls that way.
I know going to the toilet can be a tough situation when you suffer from an eating disorder. Instead of using laxatives try out natural apple-juice or plum-juice, maybe even some dry fruits. You can also try out flaxseeds (drink water with it!) or maybe you want to take some magnesium.
You should take vitamins/ go to the doctor to check your vitamin levels.
That one is well known, but I want to mention that you shouldnāt brush your teeth after purging. Drink water or milk and wait 30-60 minutes before you brush your teeth. If you struggle with bulimia you should also invest into a good toothpaste and go to the dentist on a regular basis.
Donāt count calories when you binge. You will only make yourself feel bad by doing that. It is not helping you at all. Drink water or tea and lay down. If your tummy hurts you should put a pillow or something like that underneath your legs. This position will help your belly to relax.
Donāt go āall or nothingā. If you binged take some time to rest until you get better. Donāt go in even harder, because you think your day is already ruined. Donāt eat another bag of potato chips because āit doesnāt matter anymore and you already fucked upā. The brain is like a field. Everytime you binge you are leaving a trail. The more often you use this trail, the more wide beaten it will become. If you stop using the trail, grass will overgrow this path and it will be easier to make new, healthy habits. One day you will not even be able to tell where the path was. With that said, every single time you refuse to binge, you refuse to give in because āyou already messed upā it will get easier to resist the next time you feel the cravings kick in.
as someone who struggles with binge eating, i want to share a little tip i always use to avoid overeating and going back into the binge-restrict cycle i was stuck in for a whole month.
try to feel good about what you just ate! even if you went over your limit/it had a lot of calories!
i know itās kinda hypocritical to say because, yk, our whole disorders circle around the fact that we hate food/eating in general. BUT. if you feel extremely guilty and mentally crucify yourself because of what you just ate, your brain will literally just tell you āi already wrecked my plan. might as well just eat everything in the kitchen.ā no!! you didnāt wreck anything!! youāre a human being who just ate something they were craving. end of story. i risked binging today and i managed to avoid it by reminding myself that there is a HUGE difference between eating a bit more than usual and going 2000 cals over what i burn daily. iām still in a deficit and so are you!! and even if you arenāt, i promise that a 200 calories surplus and a 2000 calories surplus arenāt the same at all. youāll literally burn the food you ate the next day in like three hours. if you binge, youāll have to fast/restrict a lot to lose it right away and that will risk leading to more binges.
in fact, i dare say itās even good to eat more from time to time, especially for us. if you completely cut something you like off, you will FOR SURE binge on it the next chance you get. if you allow it to yourself every now and then, you wonāt crave it as much. oatmeal is one of my favourite food and sadly also one of my fear foods, because i like to make a big bowl and then fill it with all kinds of things, like fruit, almonds, hazelnuts, marmalade, honey, chocolate... you get it. so a medium bowl can mount up to even 300-500 cals. normally, i would have just eliminated it completely. but if i eat it like once a week/once every ten days, i:
1- prevent binging
2- eat something i really like and makes me happy
3- prevent. BINGING!!
so eat up bitches, and please try to be as safe as you can. drink a lot of water, eat lots of veggies and take your meds. if you ever need someone to talk to ill be happy to listen :) iāve been told many times iām a good listener. i love you all

Today wasnāt very good, I didnāt get as much exercise in as I wouldāve liked and my sister cooked my dinner and she always adds a ton of butter so Iām not sure how many calories is in it. I did manage to get out of eating all my rice and about half the chicken though by eating really slowly and telling my nan I didnāt like it very much and I felt sick which was nice. Also I had like a really bad panic attack in the evening so that probably burned like 100 calories bc apparently crying burns calories and that was like⦠crying+no air which was fun. I didnāt count it because I wasnāt sure but itād be nice if it did. I got some of my grandads steroids to loosen my throat muscles tho bc they were legit scared Iād pass out. It was a fun time. But at least it burned calories. Also I donāt know what everyoneās obsession with feeding me croissants is. Like nearly every single morning they make sure I eat one and itās so weird. I think itās because itās something high cal that I canāt say no to because then theyād be able to say that they think I have an ed and have a ton of evidence. Also because I used to love them as a kid. But itās really annoying like just let me have an apple and leave me alone. I kinda feel bad for thinking that though because theyāre tryna be nice. Oh well. Also, if I get any of the calories wrong please please please let me know, most of my numbers are off of google and Iām not 100% sure if theyāre write because I canāt cook my own food very often, so if you know what it is please tell me. Also do any of you know those like pure sugar bracelet and necklace things we used to get as kids? Because I have one and I do kinda wanna eat it but I canāt find out how much it is.

Today was actually pretty good calorie wise, I woke up in a tonnnnn of pain (I have a joint disorder) and I couldnāt really move for about half the day which wasnāt great since I didnāt burn much but I didnāt have to eat much at all. Later in the day, like 6, I sucked it up and went on a really short walk (only 1k steps) and did a tiny workout but I was in so much pain that I couldnāt really do much. Iām just glad that I didnāt eat too much, but my net isnāt great.

Today was terrible, my grandad keeps shovelling food down my throat and itās so bad I canāt wait until Iām back home and no one cares. I also went fishing and had to eat the fish I caught but i donāt really know how many calories it was because I caught it and I couldnāt weight it because thereās no way I was gutting it and there was no other chance, so I just did a high estimate. Also my grandad keeps buying me icecream? And like I know heās trying to be nice and I feel bad for not enjoying it that much but itās like impossible to not eat it because he would 100% know. Like thereās no way to just get rid of it and itās really annoying. Also I got really seasick on the boat like I didnāt puke (kinda glad because there was a really pretty girl there but also kinda sad bc Iām terrible at purging so it couldāve gotten rid of my breakfast) but I did turn like green and really dizzy etc. and this has never happened before so i think itās because of my dieting, but it meant everyone was shoveling me full of sugar to ākeep my electrolytes upā which was annoying too. I also hate the fact that I start school in literally 2 weeks because I want to enjoy my vacation but I canāt really because I need to lose weight for school and Iām worrying about getting all my supplies and stuff.
