For years I tried to pretend I didn’t love music, didn’t love to sing because I never quite fit the creed of “the louder, the better.”

It’s never been about numbers or followers. What I long for is simply to find my people, the ones my voice is meant to reach, perhaps somewhere far north, maybe even in Iceland. I see an experimental, Sigur Rós–like path in my future music without the rigid shapes or manufactured expectations of mainstream entertainment. No one is meant to be an island. I look forward to unexpected, genre-bending collaborations in the future where age, appearance, and labels fall away, and only the music matters.
