Ever seen a rainbow swamp before? Jeff Ripple, a former Florida swamp walk leader, has explained that the effect seen here in First Landing State Park, Virginia, is caused by natural oils âreleased by decaying vegetation or the biological processes of anaerobic bacteria reducing iron in soil.â via BBC Earth

I fucking WISH we lived in a âphallophobicâ society. penises are literally graffitied on every building desk and locker in the country, men openly readjust their dick and balls in public, men manspread into womenâs spaces and claim itâs because they need space for their balls, openly sport erections in public when creeping in women, men have easy and quick access to vasectomies meanwhile women have a very hard time getting comparable treatments, menâs bulges are treated as a cheeky joke (the olympic high jump guy, male ballet dancers) while if a girls vulva is showing through her lulu leggings itâs like a super taboo and sexualized thing, the list can go on. what world are you fucking living in????

Women are raised to fear men, yet if you explicitly say that you fear men itâs wrongâŚ?
From a young age, you are told not to hang out with boys and âthey only want one thingâ and you hear stories in the news of women being kidnapped, assaulted or murdered by men. Or that if you go out, donât be surprised if your drink is spiked and to take measures to prevent this etc etc. Fathers especially hate the idea of their daughters being around men because they fear for their safety. There is this general idea that is taught to you as a woman, specifically as a young woman (16-24) that there are men out to get you and you need to be very cautious.
But if you say that youâre scared of men, you are immediately met with statements like âdonât say thatâ ânot every man is badâ âyou shouldnât generaliseâ âwell then how do you expect to find a boyfriend?â âwhat about your dad or brother?â âthatâs a little dramatic, donât you think?â
So which is it? Are we to be scared of men or not?

our biggest problem is that women believe men are the people they pretend to be around women. That is not a real guy, that is his 'interacting with a woman' costume. I was reminded this for the 6897th time the other friday where not many people were in the office and the nicest young guy in the department who crochets and is very kind to all the women here was talking to a few other young guys about his girlfriend and his friends' girlfriends, and it was harrowing. What he was saying was bad enough but he and the others even stopped themselves and laughed and said "well, that's about as much as I can say in the office." like what there's MORE?
All the while I am sure his girlfriend thinks she has struck gold with her nice long haired golden retriever crochet boyfriend

I'm just going to say it - body hair (and beauty standards in general) is truly one of the final frontiers of women's issues in the West. Too many women just love their gilded cage too much. It shocks me how virulently women will defend it. I barely open my mouth and the "well I like how it feels. it just makes me feel cleaner. sensory issues. I do it for me. feminism is about choosing (to conform)." brigade come rushing in by the dozens.
Well I don't like how it feels. I don't feel cleaner without body hair. I don't prefer not having body hair. But who will advocate for women like me, but me? For women who do like hair removal, they are advocated for every time they step out of the house and see 99% of the female population also conforming to that standard, or when they watch a movie and see all the shaved actresses, or view an advertisment, or open a magazine, or watch a music video, or scroll through social media, or walk down the streets without receiving insults and glares for having a completely normal bodily feature.
You genuinely can't even point out that hairlessness is a man-made standard without women losing their shit and acting like they are totally immune to propaganda they've been exposed to from birth. I'm so tired.
"I'm still kicking" is such a funny way to say "I'm still alive". Like lol. I'm still thrashing. Flailing. Writhing even. The violence remains.
