Weekends in the summer meant one thing -- the farmers market. As Julien set the jars of pickled vegetables down on the small foldable table, he had to admit that this was his favorite activity of the year. He loved being the city's Mayor, and looked forward to all the responsibilities that came with it, but having his own table at the local farmers' market where he could sell his pickled vegetables made him feel like himself. Like more than just a government official. "So," he began, glancing up as someone approached his table, "what'll you be having this week?"

Tashi made her way through the aisles of Audio Roulette, rifling through the stack of records in her hands. She stopped short at the A's, nimble fingers slotting At Fillmore East into its rightful place. "All I'm saying," she called over her shoulder, continuing a conversation she'd been having in her head with whoever would listen, "--is that it's more than a crisis of media literacy." Tashi swung around, glimmer of disbelief in her eyes. "Kids don't listen to albums anymore-- they hit shuffle on some playlist an algorithm made. It's so soulless, man, you might as well listen to fucking elevator music." With a huff, Tashi thumbed through the B's to refile Homogenic. "Talk me off the ledge here. What's your all-time favorite album? I mean no skips, perfect front to back."

Aria liked to believe that she was self-sufficient. After she’d left home at eighteen, she’d had no one else to depend on. Just herself. But there were some things that even the most self sufficient person couldn’t do. “Hey,” Aria called to the person beside her. It pained her to have to ask for help, but she’d spent the last five minutes reaching and stretching and completely failing in grabbing the item that was just out of reach of her fingertips. She huffed a little, pointing. “Mind grabbing that for me. I’m a little vertically challenged.”

Elijah loved to visit fry guys every once in a while. Yes, he was always taking care of himself but he knew that you body needed some messy carbs every once in a while. There were so many different options to get. He had come with a friend and he had ordered his in a poutine style with cheese curds and gravy as well. He then took his number for where they'd bring it and then looked over at his friend, "Get whatever kind you want! This one is on me."

Even though she hadn't slept much last night, Yarrow had been able to fill her day and keep busy, and she had been ten minutes late to the beginning of her shift this afternoon, which thankfully hadn't been held against her as she had shown up panting and genuinely apologetic. Luckily for her there hadn't been too much customers today as she hadn't been feeling that focused and now her shift was finally over. Dead on her feet, Yarrow signed out and stepped around the counter, sitting down with a huff on a free barstool. She ordered herself a pils, not up for anything stronger, and raised her glass at the person sitting at her side.

"Cheers, hope the group of business students didn't bother you too much they love being loud pompous dicks who think they know more about beer and life than anyone else." She took a sip and hunched down a bit, cupping her chin in her hand. "Did you want more peanuts? I can hop around and fetch some I know their secret cache."

Violet could feel the grass on the parts of her legs that were not covered by the picnic blanket as one hand reached for a single grape neatly packed in tupperware container, brown eyes focused on the sketchpad resting on her lap. The sketch she had been working on for the past hour was nearly finished, depicting the cherry blossoms nearly finished, neatly shaded with pencil and lacked of color. If inspiration happened to find her once she got to her studio, perhaps she could transfer the sketch to a canvas, let the oil paints she hadn't touch in weeks finally see the light in hues of pink but for now, this would suffice.

Just as she was doing the finishing touches of the nearest tree, detailed as ever, she sensed a presence on her side and she stopped her task, turning to grin at the other. "Enjoyin' the day?" she questioned before pointing at the picnic basket near her legs "Wanna join me? I packed way too much food— even got some fresh fruit from the farmer's market 'cause I need to learn to say no. It's good don't get me wrong but there's no way on god's earth I'm eating all that by myself."

Athena had taken some advice that somebody had given here and she got a new phone that was going to be used for personal use only. She had sent out the new number to all the personal people in her life so that she could have a healthier work-life balance. She was able to put her work phone on silent and not worry about missing a call from something important when she wasn't working. Now to treat herself for her small success, she ended up in Sundae Funday and she was trying to decide between a couple of flavors. "Dang, do I want the mint chip or the rocky road? I'm not sure what kind of ice cream mood I am in today." She said out loud, not realizing it was loud enough for someone near her to hear.

Cake decorating was a lot like painting, except in the sense that it wasn't whatsoever. Tony was able to mix colors no problem, and felt he'd done well enough on the galaxy 'pattern' that someone could know what he was going for, but getting the piping right? Impossible. After a fourth attempt and having the instructor carefully remove the offending frosting, he turned to the person next to him to see their progress and if they could be of any help with limited teachers flitting about the room. "Please tell me I'm not the only one suffering here. I can understand more now why professional cakes are so expensive with all this effort."
