When adding images into your InDesign document, you need to make sure the image file is saved locally onto your PC and that you directly import it through the 'Place' option in the 'File' drop-down menu. This is because Adobe InDesign displays images best when they're linked to their source, rather than if they're copied and pasted into the document and solely stored there. The only instance in which you should copy and paste an image is if it's purely vector-based, this is because vectors can be infinitely upscaled and still appear high-quality."
