Welp, I have been seriously considering spending less time on tumblr in 2019 as I’m inarguably a grown ass woman now and could probably find better things to do with my time. This change to the Community Guidelines basically made that decision for me. “Don't upload images, videos, or GIFs that show real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples...” Are you serious? So glad we’ve got another white, male CEO out in the world trying to reverse the progress we’ve been making as a society. Tumblr has been a safe space for many people, including myself, to explore queerness, kinks, and many more aspects of sexuality for years.
I follow a handful of sex workers on here because they’re honestly just cute, relatable girls out here trying to make a living. “There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them...” Yeah, scary sites with shitty porn. I don’t like those sites because the main stream porn industry is riddled with sex slavery, rape, and misogynistic themes. I just don’t think that telling consenting adults that they can’t share their “female-presenting nipples” (whatever the fuck that means) with other consenting adults is positive in any way. Sorry not sorry, and also, bye.
