A little insight into Sam’s childhood from a deleted scene from 10x05 (video)

So, that’s everything. I believe it’s what you would call a…Tragedy from the human perspective.

Those instances when Dean refer to Sam as his little brother. There is something so precious and vulnerable about it. No matter how big or old Sam gets, he will always be Dean’s little brother.  I don’t know which one of these makes me more emotional.

In 7x02 we see Sam dig into a fresh cut on his left hand in order to ground himself in the face of his Hell hallucinations. Since then (and long after the wound has healed) Sam’s used the same technique in other moments when he feels uncertain about reality. (Edit: updated with S12!)
