#comic #helluva boss #striker #Moxxie #inking #traditional art #Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen - Soft - Black #I love these two ;-;#I really gravitated towards Striker first with his dynamic with Moxxie before shipping anything #imp au #Striker the pragmatic-down to business kinda guy and Moxxie the only real one with a moral code in the group #They're foils in the best of ways #Very different yet very similar #Striker is Moxxie if Moxxie was cool and not the series punching bag #Hence the reason why Moxxie hates him and wants to beat him #And Striker's just an overly competitive douchebag that of course he's game #Probably ended up being one of my favorite ink pens of the bunch for these comics #Line variation and control is nice #Likely will use this as a main driver

#helluva boss #striker #inking #Toy Story #traditional art #Kuretake no. 45 Brush Pen-Hard-Fine #This idea randomly hit me #and it's one of those ideas that had haunted me since #I did the first inking attempt but wasn't happy with the execution #So here's attempt 2 and yes I'm much happier with it #It's based on the Old School Tattoo style #Tho it'd be considered Neo-traditional because of the varying line weights #Compared to the other brush pens Kuretake doesn't provide as drastic of a variation #Not my favorite #especially since it smears even if you're careful #another reason for the 2nd attempt

Ink Test: "New" Uniform

#helluva boss #striker #inking #zebra disposable brush pen - extra fine #Very sensitive ink pen and you have to take it for account #You can get thin-thin lines to a medium thick #So this pen requires some more practice and controlling the pressure to get the right line #The size would work well for comics and smaller works since you can get those finer details #Not my favorite from the set but I like it well enough #IMP AU #Legit just took off his coat and hat and there you go #When designing for comics (and especially animation) remember: you're going to be drawing said character A LOT.#So aim to simplify the design #Especially dangling bits #Striker already screams *cowboy* with his boots #bandana #accent #attitude #and (if needed) his hat and horse #Does he occasionally wear his hat on missions? If it's daylight sure #at night he'll leave it at the office till he gets back #rambling in the tags

Trying some lettering with the new ink pens. The Pilot Drawing Pen (03) was my original pen for lettering. I liked them overall and asked my sister for input, she preferred the School-G Pen and found that one easier to read. Which is helpful to know since she has Dyslexia and any little thing that makes the lettering clearer is a winner.

#comic #blitzstrike #helluva boss #blitzo #striker #Cover page #traditional art #I've had this as a WIP for a stupid long time #Saw that I can upload a cover for Pixiv uploads and thought *why not??*#Didn't help that at the same exact time I got myself a Brush pen sampler #Of course I had to stop everything and play around with each pen #More stuff to come from that haha #This one is mainly using the Pilot Shunpitsu Pocket Brush Pen #With the School-G pen for hatching #Guhh the line variation is so good #But it's gotta big tip #so it's best to use for bigger works vs comic panels #Very happy with how everything turned out #Pencils came out good #And it took a good chunk of practice with control but I'm happy with the inking #And the copic colors came out pretty good #Intertwining tails #Love it but it's harder to work out and especially ink than it looks haha #And opted to implement my minor design adjustments since Viv's feet make no sense for no reason sometimes #And I just went all the way and gave Striker an actual set of fangs #The gold tooth deal is just another VP-I-think-it-looks-cool design quirk anyways #He's based on a rattlesnake so why doesn't he have a full set?#rambling in the tags

I did a number of doodles going back to one of my old favorites as an itty bitty Pokemon fan. Scanned and finished them digitally. Silver's still one of the best (I think the best) rivals in the series and we haven't had one that has hit as hard in all the right places since.

Commissions: Sure, just message me and we can start something up

Requests: Suggestions are always cool and appreciated. But I'd only pick up what I'd really want to draw already, and it would probably be a whiles before it actually got completed/posted, and the level of completion would also very (ie. doodle to full on completed work). I'd honestly recommend going the commission route to have your idea fully align with what you'd like to see or don't want to wait forever for it to *maybe* pop up.

Art Trades: I'm not opposed to it, personally. Maybe something small and more for fun. Especially since I don't want to ask for too much from whomever I'm trading with, haha.
