Worst Case Ontario

Feeling more and more isolated and weird and stressed lately. The strange hours of film and hospitality make it difficult for me to find time to recharge and make plans to see friends. I get so tired that I don't want to see people and then I don't make plans and then I feel lonely when nothing happens. Any attempts to develop friendships with people at work outside of work never goes anywhere. Any off time is just me lying down near an AC unit in my apartment reading or playing something on my steam deck. I also don’t have any money until these commercial cheques come in. I’m also worried about my Dad as he has to get part of his ear removed or lasered due to skin cancer. Not melanoma but still, he’s almost 80. I can't be present for his surgery as I have bartending orientation that day that I can't miss. I got another temporary bar job at the Canadian National Exhibition. it will roll right into TIFF. So I am going to be very broke and very busy for the next few weeks and I already feel so burnt out.

I was expecting to have a quiet day. I went for a run this morning and was prepared to do some errands. I got called to work on a dog food commercial today. I got the call at 1130 and was on set at 1230 because I think they forgot to hire one. Trial by fire but I managed. If this keeps up I may be actually able to pay down my credit card and actually take a vacation with my partner.
