i want to be a star; burn long after i am gone

i do not have family to lean on through all of this, instead depending on my friendships. the current struggle is in the form of no money and still having monthly bills to pay.

i am now 31+ days late on my storage unit fee for last month, and soon the storage unit will be auctioned off. my storage unit is 3,000 miles way on the other side of the country, and i cannot empty it. it normally costs around $225 to maintain, but because i have missed this month's pay there is now an additional fee of $170, totally my fee to $567.

i am currently at 150/567 for this fee.

there are other financial holes i've dug myself due to the job market being so abysmal, but this one would mean i lose everything i own except for one suitcase.

i don't enjoy begging or reaching out like this, but i don't have any other options. please help in any way you can

god what doesn't come to mind when i think of you and your beautifully constructed library of writing??

poetry: im a stickler for poetry and poetics as we knowww but like genuinely ive always read and considered ur writing as poetry. it was never a question or doubt about it in my mind because you just capture these rhythms in your writing thru dialogue, interactions, movements, etc. but the specific kind of poetry ur writing like hallmarks is the one between your characters, the minute they're in orbit of one another it's like gravity kicks in to the max and everything in ur writing makes that known; it's like reading poetic theory unfold with how you write interactions :')

'attention is the beginning of devotion' (mary oliver) and ik this feels like cheating but i think your writing just embodies this on such a primary level, like i think u just understand this quote and the intentions mary oliver meant when she wrote it. attention isn't the flashiest thing in the world, it's not the loudest, it's not the boldest—it's quite literally a stream of water flowing over rocks that have been there for decades if not centuries almost. it's ritual, it's practice, it's intentional; everything u write just brings this idea to the forefront without announcing itself so loudly. it's a quiet hum on sunday mornings

the mundane as grand: your writing has always centered normalcy, domesticity, and the moments where, in retrospect, nothing happens, yet it still feels like home, it still feels like taking off your shoes at the front door and hanging up your coat you spent walking the city with, it feels padding through your home with your feet relaxing at the cool touch of your floors, it feels like coming up behind your lover and just resting your head in between their shoulder blades because like many things in this insane world it somehow perfectly fits the shape of your tired, exhausted head like it was created just for this moment. i think ur writing has always made such moments of simplicity, ease, and domesticity feel like the most natural thing in the world and ugh everytime i read/reread ur fics it truly does feel like coming home
