Nick:

Can you imagine going through all the Nick and Charlie content that we have without knowing for sure, 100% canon, that they stay together forever? 'Cause when I think that next is the last volume and it ends with Nick leaving for uni... yeah, it would have been a completely different kind of experience. And we get to see all of those glimpses into their future lives, which bring such a priceless feeling every time. There are endless possibilities for their love story, you can imagine them throughout their lives in different kinds of contexts and let your mind run free; no matter what, they're together.

The part that hit most for me was exactly that, little things about their future, like being asleep in their sofa with their dogs or knowing which careers they will pursue (both incredibly accurate, btw). Nick as primary school teacher with his infinite kindness, and Charlie as historical fiction editor, fully expressing his passion. And then, at the end of the day, going back to their home to be together. I can't even begin to express the sense of peace this drawing gives me, it's truly the essence of Nick and Charlie.

Also, okay, the wedding. I wasn't expecting getting so much information about it, and now I can't think about anything else. Firstly, Tara and Darcy's looks? So extremely cool. I can't stop picturing all of them during a beautiful end-of-summer day, celebrating this great love with a ceremony at the beach - can I manifest an Italian one as the final choice? That'd be the end of me.

Last bonus point about past/present Nick and Charlie: I just wanted to add that I love admiring how Alice's drawing style has evolved during the years. Their baby faces as they show us their first reaction to each other, but with Alice's 2023 style, was so gorgeous to see (Nick obsessing over Charlie's hair from the very first glance had me giggling.) Oh, and Kitty! That's among my top 3 favourite answers, for sure. The amount of cuteness in every drawing is almost unbearable.
