it’s sad that there are people who only donate their time and/or money around the holidays. i give of myself year round and it’s probably because of my son. when i became a mother, i truly fought so hard for the children’s hospitals and i started donating so much of myself. i would hate to see my son in a situation like that with no one wanting to help him. it’s important to teach him to help others every day instead of just during certain seasons.

see, me and tequila is always a recipe for disaster. i’ll likely wake up in my bathtub with, like, a piece of pizza hanging out my mouth. we put our puppies in obedience training, so they’re pretty well behaved. aside from chewing on things. if you get a small dog, it can travel with you !

no i completely agree with you in that sense. giving and doing charity work should be something people do year round instead of just during the holidays. i know i try and give my time and money any time i can because it just makes you feel good to know that you’ve made a difference and possibly changed someone’s outlook on life or their life in general. don’t be a grinch, love. at least you try your best and that’s the important thing.

i’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for little kids and that spot always grows a hundred times bigger around the holidays. i donate to all the charities benefitting children, i donate toys to toy drives, i visit children’s hospitals, and i’m forever trying to advocate for others to do the same. today i was at a children’s hospital here in california and a mother of a sick child i had been talking to came over to me and told me that people like me were “the ray of sun in this cloudy place”. i’ve been crying all damn day and night about it cause it really made me feel good and let me know i truly was making a difference. it’s the season of giving guys!
