A veces pide opinión. A veces no.
āĀæComiste algo hoy o venĆs a pan y Red Bull otra vez?
āĀ”ParĆ”, no serĆa mala! āMedia docena de carne, media de polloā¦ā āimprovisa Duki ā. āCon la salsita picante te mojo el rolloā¦ā
āSos un enfermo āresponde Tachu, aguantando la carcajada.

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5
I have to stop showing up here once a year
-Wow, look at how handsome you look- Winnie jokes, referring to Johnnyās suit. I laugh.
After the conversation Johnny and I had on the day of the premiere, an invisible bridge formed between us, creating a friendlier atmosphere with each other. We came down from the rooftop to meet the rest of the cast, and a concerned Winona told us that she had been looking for us for quite some time. After telling her what had happened, she kept sending nasty looks to the guard the rest of the night.
It's funny, but Edwardās costume, which I considered a bit awkward before, now I find it almost cute.
-I guess you're coming to the bar this afternoon- he asks.
- Obviously- Winnie answers for me and gives me a reproachful look-No studying.
I raise my hands in response.
- We have already finished the exam period, but even if I had, if my options are to be with you or pretend to study, obviously the first option is more appealinf - I see the turmoil that has formed behind us, the director sends to roll-. See you guys later - I add leaving the set. They answer me with a nod before diving into their roles.
***
Cinthya, Mona's half-sister, has come to pick her up.
- No, seriously, stay. You have no classes tomorrow, no exams to study for, so stay and have fun- I want to protest, but she's too quick-. It's not fair that you always miss out on the fun because of me.
- Being with you is so better than anything - I rebut, knowing I mean it but trying to soften her up. She smiles sweetly-. Are you sure you don't want me to come with you? - she nods.
- See you guys- she says goodbye to the rest of the group as she rests her hand on Johnny's shoulder.
-What do you want to drink? I'll get it- I ask Mike as Mona leaves. The rest of the group is playing pool.
-A beer, please- I nod and stand up. I order the drinks and wait, leaning my arms on the bar. Meanwhile, I watch Johnny and the rest play. He signals me from the pool table. He has the cue resting on the floor and a lopsided smile on his lips.
-Are you up for it, or are you just here to watch?
-I don't think I'm either one or the other. I'm more of a hinderer- I reply with a smile, approaching with a bottle in each hand. I hand one to Mike.
-Then you're perfect for this group- he says, handing me the cue.
The others laugh. Mike and the others remain focused on their game while Johnny approaches me, stepping up behind me naturally, as if that's nothing.
-Let me show you. -His voice is soft. A shiver runs down my spine.
He places his hands on top of mine, guiding my fingers to hold the cue securely. I feel the heat of his body behind mine, and I tense, but I try to hide it. His closeness is overwhelming. My breathing becomes a little shallower, though he doesn't seem to notice. Or maybe he does.
The others chuckle, throwing comments as I try to get the ball in the right position.
-Not like that, you'll ruin the table! -shouts one from the other side, and I dismiss it with a wave of my hand as they all burst into laughter.
Between crooked shots, contradictory advice and applause every time I manage to sink a ball, even if it's clearly by luck, I decide to take a break and sit near the bar, watching the rest.
Johnny approaches, combing his hair back with his hand and a half-smile.
-Not so bad, huh? I admit I was expecting more chaos- he says.
-Oh, believe me, I held back- I reply, turning to him with a smile.
-And why is that? -he asks, raising an eyebrow.
-I didn't want to humiliate you all in public- I reply, shrugging.
He laughs softly, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. I watch as the billiard balls collide, the lamp illuminating that area, while we are surrounded by a very dim light.
I get up and bump into Johnny's body. He's ordering another drink, and I hadn't noticed he had moved. Iām going to apologise for bumping into him, but the words don't come out.
-Everything okay? -he asks, his voice calm, from behind me. Again, his voice throws me off. Silly me.
-Yeah, sure- I reply.
Johnny says nothing. His hand, almost without thinking, moves up my arm to rest gently on my hip. The gesture is simple, barely a second, but it leaves me completely immobile.
I lean lightly against Johnny's chest. His hand moves up my hip to rest on my waist. Our friends continue to play without much notice of us. This is wrong. This is so wrong, I would never have expected this of myself. But the touch of his hands on my hip sends a tingle through my body.
God, what is it about this man that has this effect on me?
I break away at once, as if the contact burns me. He doesn't move, and for a moment, there is only the distant murmur of the bar and the sound of the eight-ball rolling across the table.
Johnny looks back at the bar, ordering the drink he'd come for, and I head for the pool table, looking to get away from him. This shouldn't have happened. Not that brush, not that sigh, not that absurd feeling of wanting to stay a little closer to him.

Part 1Ā Part 2 Part 3 Part 4Ā Part 6
- Do you think I could borrow the dress later? Calvin Klein is one of my favourite designers.
The call weirded me out, I'm not going to lie. I was getting ready for the afternoon when Amy called. We have barely spoken in class, but Iām not surprised sheās calling me now. The announcement of the movie premiere was made a while ago, and the whole town is excited that Winona is going. I don't want to draw attention to myself, as I would never have imagined that I could be invited to this kind of situation, and yet, in just a few hours, I'll be getting my hair and make-up done by several people, which is exciting and I'm curious to know what these kinds of galas are like.
- I'm not sure, you usually have to return them after the event, unless you buy them.
- Well, that's a shame - the voice on the phone sounds slightly disappointed but quickly regains interest -. Are there any famous actors? - They recently let people know who the main actors were. Until then, Winona hadn't been able to talk to anyone about who she was acting with, or what the film was about. Except for her parents and me, of course.
- You know I have no idea who's famous now, but apart from Johnny Depp, there's Michael Hall, Diane Wiest and Alan Arkin.
I'm so proud of myself. I remembered all the names.
-Oh, Jonny Depp. You know, I'd take the chance to hook up with him-
-He's with Mona? - the statement comes out in the form of a question out of disbelief.
- So what? You can't deny he's handsome as hell. I would be head over heels.
-Even if I liked him, he's with my best friend, I want what's best for her, not to make her miserable - I snort.
-What difference does it make? It's Johnny Depp. One shag, you're in the papers and you're the next big thing - I look at the phone. What an idiot. I hang up without saying goodbye.
I follow the rest of the actors as they turn away from the cameras and flashbulbs and head for a door. I keep taking in the surroundings, the crowds of people milling around, the screaming fans and the journalists asking questions that go unanswered when a man stops me.
- Just actors.
- I'm in the film.
- Lead actors only.
The man gives me a disdainful look and I can't help but be annoyed by his stare. I look over his shoulder and see how the rest of my friends have passed.
- Please step out of here.
- Where am I supposed to go? I've been invited to the premiere- he smiles haughtily as if I'm trying to sneak in and he's caught me.
- Please don't make the situation complicated- I guess his intentions, but I don't react quickly enough and he grabs my arm roughly.
- Don't touch me - it comes out more rudely than I'd like, but he's starting to get on my nerves.
-Is there a problem? - I recognise the smell of citrus and woody notes. Johnny steps between us-. She's coming with us- he adds, staring at the way he's grabbing me. I pull away, glaring angrily at the security guard. Moron. He pretends to apologise but I can tell from the look on his face that he couldn't care less.
- I wasn't informed, I apologise - and stepping aside, he goes on to stop anyone without an invitation.
- Are you all right? - asks Johnny.
-What do you care? - I know he's not to blame for what just occurred, but I'm still upset about what just happened and how the man treated me. Before he can say anything else, I walk through the door they didn't intend to let me through. Instead of following the various directional signs, I continue forward, getting as far away as possible.
A long staircase is all I find. I sigh. It'll have to do.
Grabbing the bottom of my dress, I climb them, until I reach the roof.
Stupid guard.
I reach the top of the building, the roof is a fascinating space offering a panoramic view of the city. The fresh air and light breeze cool my face, and I realise how hot my face is.
From here, I can look out over the vastness of Westwood. Houses and houses and a few blocks of multi-storey buildings, all lit up with lights. I can hear the hubbub below, the murmur of people and the hum of cars.
I want to go home. I shouldn't have come.
- So here you are.
I tense for a moment but as I turn around, I calm down.
- I thought you were that guard- I say, looking back at the starry night. If he makes a gesture, I don't see it -. What are you doing here anyways, don't you have to go to the premiere?
- It's just brunch now, the presentations aren't until later. I wanted to make sure you were okay- I feel Johnny's presence beside me.
- I'm fine, I just came here... to smoke - I lie. I don't even know what I'm doing here. I don't know why I haven't followed the rest of the cast. When I'm frustrated, I prefer to be alone, but this wasn't the time to behave like a little girl.
Johnny looks me in the eye, and I notice a mocking smile.
-To smoke?- I look back at him defiantly. Of course, there's not a lighter in my bag, but he doesn't need to know that. His smile widens and at this moment I realise that I'm challenging Johnny Depp. One of the most famous actors in the world. All the jokes, and comments, and out for a drink hit me and suddenly, I'm embarrassed to be standing next to him. I look back at the queue that has formed outside the theatre.
- Are you going to tell me to quit because it's not good for me?
- Oh no, I'm not the kind of person who tries to convince someone to give up their bad habits. Besides, that wouldn't be very convincing coming from me, would it? - I smile faintly without looking at him- Y/N, I know today has been a bit of a struggle, but I want you to know that you're doing a great job handling all of this. Don't let comments like that discourage you.
He places his hand on mine. The cold touch of the gravel where my hands were resting disappears at his warm touch. My gaze fixes on his hand. Maybe it's because I'm still shaken by the way the guard has spoken to me in contrast to Johnny's gentleness, but how I wish for once he would stop giving me friendly gestures and hug me.
I want to apologise for the way I treated him earlier, I want to tell him that I really don't smoke, that I feel out of place with them and that the scene with the guard was no big deal, but he pointed out that, indeed, this is not my place. I donāt tell him that.
- You know, that brunch you were telling me about, sounds delicious.
I back away from his hand and he smiles. And when he gestures for me to go first up the stairs, I smile back and can't help but feel guilty about seeing Johnny Depp through different eyes for the first time.

-Do you have everything? - I ask, coming out of Mona's room. She nods. Once we're in the hallway, she stops, realizing that she doesn't, in fact, have everything.
-Wait! I'm missing my bag; I'll be right back. You get going.
-Okay, I'll wait for you outside! - I say, opening the door. I meet Johnny and a blond boy.
-Hello Y/N-
Oh. I had totally forgotten they were coming. It's not the first time I go for a drink with Johnny or the rest of his friends. Mona cares about me feeling included in their group.
- Hi guys- I smile back. I think I've hidden my surprise pretty well.
-You knew we were coming, didn't you? -
Or maybe not so well.
-Oh yeah, yes- reassured-, I just didn't remember your name- I lie, turning to the boy.
-Michael- he smiles.
-You're the one who plays...- I stop, trying to remember the role he plays in the movie. I am sure I know him; I've seen him from afar on the set, and I'm pretty sure he's done some commercials. He's dressed in a black shirt with a plaid shirt over it and slightly ripped jeans. Johnny, on the other hand, is wearing a simple white shirt, a denim jacket and black pants.
-Mona's jerk boyfriend- I remain silent at his serious look, not knowing if I can joke about it or if he's serious. He certainly plays the role of an asshole-. I'm kidding- Johnny laughs softly and more relaxed, we wait for Mona to come out.Ā
-Coming!- Mona gets out and after quickly greeting both of them we head to the car; Michael and I sitting in the back seats, leaving Winona as co-pilot. He turns out to be a fun guy, and since we share so much, it was easy to talk to him; besides our Guns N' Roses fanaticism, he also loves the beach and wants to travel the world.
The bar is less than a ten-minute drive away. I'm so immersed in conversation with Michael, I don't notice how we walk into the bar, following Mona and Johnny. The establishment is cozy; the wooden walls and the round tables with armchairs and soft benches make the stay comfortable. The bartender behind the counter greets them cheerfully; it's not the first time they come here.
- What do you want?- asks Michael as the rest of us sit down. Over the last few weeks, I have noticed that they have the habit of inviting each other when they go out for a drink.
-Surprise me -Ā I answer when his gaze falls on me-. But keep it mild.
- That's done- he replies with a smile. While waiting at the bar, the three of us start to comment on how good students we were as children and comparing our weekly study hours, Johnny topping the list. The afternoon passes quickly. As dusk begins to fall, Winona looks out the glass door and rises with precision.
- I'd love to hang around longer, but I have to be on set early tomorrow and I can't stay too late.
-I can give you both a ride, I didn't drink -he nods, pointing to the coke on the table.
-Thank you Johnny, but don't worry, my stepbrother is coming to pick me up. Y/n please stay, I'd hate if you had to come back early because of me- she says as she sees me get up too.
- Nonsense, of course, I'll come back with you, we can go for a drink next week.
My proposal is welcomed with approval.
- Let me at least accompany you - Winona doesn't contradict him this time and Johnny gets up from the table. However, it doesnāt get a genius to realize that what he really wants is to spend a moment alone with Mona. I step aside as he escorts her to the door, where they remain talking.
- What a gentleman he is.
- Isn't he? You see what I have to deal with every day-Mike jokes-. I hope to see you again, it was nice meeting you.
I smile. I answer likewise, and I mean it; he really is a lovely guy. As he leans down to kiss my cheek, out of the corner of my eye, I see how Johnny moves his hand to the small of Monaās back and places a brief kiss on her lips. I open my eyes again and Michael's closeness disappears.

I stand and watch the producers finishing their make-up or putting the other actors in place. Here I am, on the pavement walking aimlessly. I'd been lured into playing an extra. I didn't complain much though; this is fun.
-Hi, everything all right? - Johnny walks up to me. With the suit and the make-up, heās quite repulsive. It's a very successful disguise.
-Hey. Am I that lost?- I joke.
-No, on the contrary, you look very professional- he smiles, and underneath the sad expression that has been achieved with the make-up, appears his playful smile.
-Yeah sure - I laugh-. No, Iām all good, I've already been told by the producer what I have to do. How about you? Ready?
- Waiting on you Y/N-Ā he says smiling softly-. This is going to be a fun scene to shoot. Have you...? - Before he can finish, the director calls out to him and Johnny turns around, brushing me with the scissors.
-Oh, Y/N, I'm so sorry. Let me help you.
-It's all right, it's just a bit of blood- I smile but people start to approach.
-Come here, are you all right?-A woman comes up to me and gently but firmly grabs my arm.
-Yes, yes, it's nothing- I assured but she starts to lead me off the set.
-Antibacterial ointment and that's it. No, Johnny, you stay here- I can't quite hear what Johnny answers, but they end up laughing. The woman leads me out of the set, into one of the many rooms, and once seated, she puts a first aid kit on the table from which she starts pulling out jars. She proceeds to gently grab my face and after looking at my wound she says:
-A little soap and water and you're as good as a new, sweetheart. It's not very deep, are you feeling alright? - I smile.
-Yes, thank you very much for cleaning me up. .... - I remain silent for her to tell me her name.
-Margaret.
-Thank you so much, Margaret, it was just the impression, it didn't hurt. I can't imagine how many times Johnny must have cut himself by accident with those things- I say looking at myself in the dressing room mirror.
-God bless him- she shakes her head, wiping the wound with cotton wool-. Young Depp knows how to clean wounds in his sleep from all the times he's been here- I laugh-. That man can do wonders with his hands-I look at her through the mirror. She doesn't seem to realise what she has just said. I wonder how Johnny would react if he heard that-. There you are, sweetie. You can go back to the set- she smiles warmly.
-Do you want me to help you with something?- I ask, looking at several boxes piled up with a post-it with the word ORGANIZE on them. Margaret looks at the pile and waves her hand.
-No one has ever died from resting too much, have they? So it's okay if we take some time to rest -I laugh helplessly and Margaret smiles.

-Y/N, it's for you- my father peeks out of my bedroom door and smiles, nodding towards the phone in the living room.
-Coming- I pick up the phone placed on top of it -Yes?
-Y/N, Hi. It's Johnny. I was calling to see how you're doing after todayās accident. I didnāt have time to apologize
-Hi Johnny. Donāt worry, I'm fine, it was nothing serious. Besides, Margaret was a sweetheart, she made it all very enjoyable.
-I don't doubt it, youāre in good hands with her- Oh man, not the hand thing again-. I'm glad you're well. I almost forgot. I'll give you my number in case you need something. Winona told me that her phone has broken,ā broken is an interesting way to mean that Winona and I accidentally ran over the phone cableĀ untrusting it from the wall when we were dancing around the house ā so if you need to ask her anything, you can call me since weāre on set together all the time. Anything you need, give me a call.
-Great, thanks- I say writing down his number- See you tomorrow then. Good night Johnny-
-Good night Y/N-Ā I hang up the phone and head to the kitchen. My parents are talking to each other while preparing dinner.
-Who was that? Not that Rick-lad again, I presume - I grin sitting down.
-No dad. It was Johnny Depp.
-What a handsome guy, do you remember the show we saw? - My mom puts her hand on my father's arm asking him the question. He nods.
-He has a good future. Remember that kiddo- my parents laugh. I shake my head. My father loves to set me up with every guy who thinks he's a good lad. Being a lawyer, he says that after 25 years of practice, he recognizes that easily.
-He's with Mona.
-Our Winona has a boyfriend? -Mom smiles- Lovely as she is, no wonder she's with such a nice guy. Is he as friendly as he looks on TV?- I nod
-Well, they're not dating as such, but mom, really, you have to see them, you'd think they've been dating forever. And yes, he's very kind, he just called to ask me how I'm doing about earlier- I explained, alluding to the cut.
- How nice. What a lovely boy. And tell Winona to come home for lunch again sometime, I haven't seen her for a lifetime.

-Go to a party? Me?
-Please, it's the premiere of the film and I want you to come.
-But I have no business being there, Mona. You're all actresses and actors and celebrities.
-Itās going to be in one or two months. Come on, I'm dying for you to come- We stare at each other- ĀæPretty please?
-It doesn't matter what I say, does it?- she nods happily-.You'll send a car to follow me and kidnap me, or you'll close the school and kidnap me, or you'll say that I'm one of the actresses.
-And I'll kidnap you. Whatever you do- I growl loudly, but she doesn't care, because she's already calling her designer to ask her what dress I should wear-.Okay, but in exchange tomorrow when I come to see you on set,Ā you give me emotional support when I receive my exam mark.
-Of course!Ā I'm offended that you think I'm going to do it only because I blackmailed you.
-Mona? - I turn around, as soon as the door opens, still staring at the computer screen. Nevertheless, it's Johnny Depp who has entered the room and I close my mouth-. Hi Johnny.
-Y/n, hello- he smiles with his hand on the doorknob- ,How are you? Itās nice to see you here- as charming as ever Depp, I think, but I lack the confidence to say it to him.
āI've been in front of the computer for an hour that your kind director Tim Burton has left me, who is another celebrity like you and because I'm ignorant I didn't recognize him, trying not to throw up because I'm so nervous. But yeah, Iām quite wellā
Instead, I respond with, "Fine, how are you?ā
-Well well, we're nearing the end of the film, we have a few scenes to go. Were you waiting for Winona? -I nod-. She'll be a while, she's on the set now.
-Mmm, how much do you think itāll take her five, ten minutes?- I ask, turning back to the computer screen and going back to reading the email.
-Oh no, short time on set means about an hour- he smiles kindly.
-An hour? - I try to sound calm but I'm not good at this carefree thing.
-Is there something wrong?- he asks, dropping his smile. I move a little away from the computer so he can see it.
-The teacher has to give me a grade back at 4- I explain-. If I fail, I have to repeat the course. Winnie was going to give me emotional support- Johnny comes closer, closing the door behind him.
-Relax, you're going to pass that exam- he sits down next to me as he checks the email my teacher sent me-. Winona says you're very bright and she's not wrong. You're going to pass the course, so don't worry. - he puts his hand on my arm. High enough not to make me feel uncomfortable and low enough to give me that closeness. I look up at him.
-I'm still nervous, but thanks- I run both hands over my face. Johnny looks at me.
-What would you like to do?
-What do you mean?- He smiles kindly again.
-Like, to study. When you finish high school, what would you like to study?
-I don't know. There's nothing I'm passionate about. I don't really know.
-Do you plan to stay here?
-I guess.
-Have you thought about going on a trip? Go to India or Africa. You might discover your passions there- I think about it for a moment.
-It's not a bad idea. Then I could wear shorts and Hawaiian shirts every day. What would you like to do if you weren't an actor?- I ask him, looking at the computer, hoping for a change in the emails. He thinks for a moment, playing with the ring on his index finger.
-The trip thing sounds good. Go somewhere in the West India and go on an adventure-
-Like a pirate?
-Yeah, something like that- he laughs.
-Johnny Depp and the Pirates of the Caribbean- I say-. It would be cool. We could go together, on a spiritual journey- A notification sounds on my computer. I feel nervous again. I open the email in a hurry and start reading it.
Dear student,Ā
I scan the entire paragraph where it describes why the mail is due, looking for the percentage that indicates whether I have passed or failed.
The final grade of the exam is 56%, thus the course is considered as passed.
-Yes!- I ignore the sentences written once after the note and I exclaimed happily, clasping my hands. Johnny smiles, this time showing his teeth.
-Congratulations, I knew you'd pass.
-Thank you Johnny- I turn off the computer after deleting the tabs. He is still sitting in front of me- Shall we go and get Winnie?
-Letās get Winnie- he nods-. Let's give her the good news.
He opens the door and waits for me to go through first.
-Thank you. What a gentleman- I smile jokingly. He laughs, closing the door behind him.
One of the dangers of New York is the speed of time.
You walk down the street quickly. You're not in a hurry to get there and you're not late either, but your pace is usually fast. Ā The New York effect is noticeable. You rummage in your bag for the keys to the building, while with the other hand you hold your wallet.
For a freezing morning, the streets of New York are crowded.
Even if you don't notice where you're walking, trusting your reflexes, you find what you're looking for.
Andrew zips his jacket up to his neck, a hot coffee in his hands. Dane is waiting for him on the street corner.
Immense in each of your thoughts, you bump into the person in front of you.
His coffee is undamaged, but your wallet has fallen to the ground. You both bend down to pick it up and when you raise your heads, your gazes meet and you smile unintentionally.
It's curious how undervalued silence is. That silence that is created when two people look into each other's eyes. Millions of words are exchanged in that brief moment, by baring your feelings completely to that person. And I guess that's the beauty of it: smiling quietly and to go back to the previous situation, as if nothing had happened.
Andrew smiles, handing you the wallet. You reach out a gloved hand to take itĀ and your fingers brush briefly, before the two of you wave a silent goodbye and go your separate ways.
New York time doesn't stand still for anyone or anything.

Part 2Ā Part 3Ā Part 4Ā Part 5Ā Part 6
-She talks pretty fast- she agrees when I confessed that I had not understood some of the things that Bea, her make-up artist, had said-. But she's funny. It's nice to have someone to entertain you when I'm not filming- I nod. We sit down in one of the armchairs next to a door marked "Dressing Room".Ā
Ā -Who did you want to introduce me to now?
-Johnny Depp. You know, he plays Edward. The main character in the film. The film is called after him. Yeah, Johnny Depp- she says everything in a rushed way to end in silence. I look at her when she finishes speaking.
-You like him.
-What? No- she shakes her head, and I know she's doing it so I won't notice how red she's gone.
-Winnie, we've known each other since we were eight, don't try to fool me. Now, you can tell me all about him.
-Don't tell me I've never heard of him- she snorts. My blank stare must be enough for her to see that I don't know who she's talking about.
-You know I'm not interested in cinema.
-But he's known, y/n, you must have heard of him. You'll like him. The fame hasn't gone to his head at all. He's so interesting, I could talk to him for hours. He's polite, funny, honest.
-Yeah, you do really like him.
-I'm telling you, he's the kind of guy you'd really like- she insists.
-You know I believe you- I look at my watch-.But if it's going to take much longer, you'll have to introduce me to him another day. I have to go.
-How so? Are you meeting someone? Rick?- she grins mischievously.
-Lord no, he calls the house every day. My father can't stand him- I deny-. We have a maths exam on Monday.
-Exams?
Winona was one of the best students in the class and we always studied together. Since she started acting, she dropped out of school. We don't see each other as often as we would like to. It's been a year since then, but she feels guilty that we don't do the same things we used to do together, like studying for exams.
-But it's still April- she protests in bewilderment-. We used to start exams in May.
-Perks of being a senior- I reply with a wink. She relaxes her frown and smiles.
She opens her mouth but at the same moment, a boy comes out of the door. From the way my friend hesitates before getting up, I deduce that it's Johnny Depp.
-See you, Monday Stan- he says, heading into the room. When he turns his head and sees he's not alone, he smiles broadly, causing her brown eyes to narrow -. Winona- he approaches her-. I thought you'd gone with the others.
-I was waiting for you- Even though her back is to me, I can tell from her voice that she has a goofy grin on her face.
-You shouldn't have- he still has a smile plastered on his face.Ā
God, they're made for each other.Ā
They both stare at each other for a while, until I clear my throat.
-And I wanted to introduce you to my best friend. Johnny, this is y/n- Winona steps aside so we can introduce ourselves.
-It's nice to finally meet you- he steps closer to me and the smell of his perfume wafts over me. He leans down to give me two kisses on my cheeks. His skin is soft, and the approach increases the scent. Too sweet for my taste.
-Likewise- I reply, mimicking his actions.
-And how do you know each other? Do you act too?- he asks as he puts on his jacket.
-Not at all, we have been friends since childhood. Winona thought of showing me what the set was like and she introduced me to some of your colleagues. Now we've been with Bea and Henry-I look to Mona to confirm their names and she nods with a smile.
-They're nice people. But if you didn't follow Bea talking, you should see her at a party.
-Hey, why don't you come with us to the party tonight?- Winnie asks-. You'd have a great time, wouldn't she Johnny?- she asks looking from me to him.
-It's a great idea. You should come with us- he smiles running his hand through his hair.
-It sounds tempting, but I have a date with the maths books and I can't miss it.
-Just a little while? -I deny with a smile-. I'm sure I can convince you on the way to the bus stop to come over.
-I can give you a lift home if that's okay- Johnny suggests-. It's a longer way to convince her there- he says, looking at Winona, and she laughs-. I'll get the keys.
-I thought he was going to have the same hairstyle he had in Cry Baby-I comment as he disappears down the corridor.
-You told me you're not interested in cinema. You didn't know who he was until a moment ago- she says, looking at me in surprise.
-But I hear you when you talk. He's crazy about you, too. One more minute and I was going to be jealous of the way you look at each otherĀ - I joke and she laughs. A metallic noise makes us turn around. The boy jangles his car keys in front of us.
Winona insists I sit in the passenger seat.
-Are you sure you don't want to come over? Not even five minutes?- Winona holds the door before closing it. I decline again-. See you tomorrow then- she kisses me on the cheek and after closing the door, she waves goodbye to Johnny. He says goodbye with the same gesture - Later.
Johnny drives me home before heading back to the bar with the rest of his mates. The ride is almost entirely silent; most of the conversation had been between the two of them.
-Thanks for the ride. You shouldn't have bothered- I finally say, running a finger over the vent.
- Don't you know the saying, friends of my friends are my friends?- he replies turning to the right.
-Yeah, right- he stops in front of the courtyard of my house-. Well-I say, unbuckling my belt-, thanks again for the ride. If you and Mona are willing to bring me to one of your parties, I guess I'll see you again.
-Then we'll definitely see each other again- he says, smiling, with one arm on the steering wheel-.It was nice to meet you.
I smile without showing my teeth and unlike my best friend, I take my leave with a simple "Goodbye". When I open the door of my house, I hear the screeching of the wheels as they speed up.
After helping to evacuate the entire building, you climb to the top floor. You watch as the fire slowly rises, engulfing the hundreds of glass windows. After making sure everyone is safe, you signal for the helicopter to take off.
-Spiderman will come for me- you assure the pilot, hiding a smile. Pretending you don't know that your friend is hiding behind the superhero mask is still funny to you, even though it's been several months. You look to your right and see a small figure growing larger and large. Clinging to one of the windows, your friend scans the interior of the floor.
-Everything OK? - he asks when he reaches the top level. With a hop, he stands next to you. You nod-. Thank you for your help. I'll take you home- he gestures for you to hold on to him. The building is surrounded by policies. The whole street is full of cars and vans. Despite the event, the night is beautiful. A group of people armed with guns had entered the offices with the intention of stealing the company's formula. Spiderman had arrived in time and although no one had been hurt, one of the group had lit a fire before being caught. Luckily, everything had turned out well, thanks to spiderman.
-Thanks Peter- he makes a sudden movement. Ā
-What?- he asks in a hoarse voice.
-What? - you repeat, watching helplessly as cars pass underneath you. The cars start to move away as Peter approaches the top of the bridge.
-How do you know my name?-
-What do you mean, how do I know your name? Peter, what are you saying? Besides, this way doesn't go to myā¦- putting a hand to your mouth, he approaches you.
-Please stop repeating my name- you frown. Staring at him through the mask, you could swear he's staring back at you.
-Who are you?- Sighing, he runs a hand down the back of his neck.
-I'm Peter- he removes his mask. When you see his brown hair, you think it's all a joke and your Peter was just trying to tease you, but when his eyes return your gaze, you hold your breath. Your pupils move from side to side rapidly, taking in every detail of the face of the person in front of you.
-Where did you come from? Where is my Peter?-
Peter observes you. You look puzzled, no less, he himself doesn't quite understand what's going on, but your eyes tell him you're calmed. Stretching his neck, he puts his mask back on.
-I don't know, but I'm going to find him. -He throws a spider web at the nearest building. -Are you coming?

You smile putting your pencil down and look at Peter.
-You finished very fast- his eyes swiftly scan the exercises you just made-. They are all correct- he turns to you, making eye contact and then points one equation-. But look at this one- Ā
You get caught in his eyes, while he remarks how you could have done the exercise in a simpler way.
-ĀæWhat? - you asked when you see heās waiting for your answer.
- I am surprised that you still want me to tutor you, cause youāve done the exercises pretty easily. In fact, you didnāt miss any- he smiles, tilting his head slightly to one side.
-Oh- you blink a few times, processing what he just said- Ā”Oh! - realising what he meant by that, you shake your head in denial -. Yeah, well, I got them all right because I understood them as soon as you explained them to me, I got them all wrong before. But I donāt understand the new theme weāve start, like, nothing. So- you inhale after your speech-, if you could tutor me the next week, I would be so grateful-
Peter nods, pushing his glasses thru the bridge of the nose.
-Sure, but Iām going to start to think that you should be the one who tutors me- he jokes. You laugh and take advantage to rest you hand in his arm. Both of you make eye contact. Again. You feel how your heart beats a little bit faster to be slightly near to him. Peter grins again and you believe your hearth will shot off.
-So- he smiles again-, if you donāt have any more questions, I think I should get going-
-Ā”No! I mean, Āædonāt you wanna drink something? -
-Thanks, but Iām meeting Gwen. But next time, it does-
You walk him to the door, thanking again for his tutoring, and after saying goodbye, you close the door. After a few moments, and holding your breath, you look through the peephole. Tall, wavy brown hair, with the skate in his right hand and his bag hanging up from his left shoulder, Peter Parker is the most handsome boy youāve ever see. You appreciate his profile side while he waits for the elevator. Suddenly, and against all odds, he turns to the door.
-Shit-
For a second, you could swear he saw you, peaking on him. When you gain the courage to look again, Peter is back in the same position as before. So angelic, with her smooth features and her hair somewhat dishevelled. You sigh when the elevator finally arrives.
You didnāt notice how he frowned as the door closed.
The week flies by. As usual, Peter sat in the second row, in the second chair. You, sitting two files behind him, watched as he rested his chin on one hand, looking at the teacher, and then picked up his pencil and wrote down the last thing he had explained.
Finally, the long-awaited tutoring came. You sit in the chair, with Peter next to you. The tutoring hours go by all too quickly.
-Next week is the same time good for you?- you ask as he gets up and picks up his backpack.
-Uh, about that- you turn around noticing a change in his voice-, I think it would be best if I stopped tutoring you- he says, looking at you. After a few seconds, you burst out laughing.
-If it's because I've done everything right, I've already told you that I understand this subject well. Do you want me to give you lessons now?- you joke.
-No. Really, itād be the best- he says in a afflicted tone. Now you notice how serious he actually is.
-I donāt understand-
-Itās just...- he adjusts his bag on his shoulder.
-But I really don't understand. Did I do something wrong? Are the tutoring classes too long for you?- The simple fact that you might have upset Peter is weighing you down. You can't have hurt the person you love most in the world.
-It's for the best - he says, nodding-. Have a good weekend- with a weak smile, he prepares to walk out the door.
-No! You can't leave me Peter, what have I done? Please tell me.
He stops and with his back turned, mumbles something, but you don't hear him.
-What?- You hear a soft sigh and turning around, he asks:
-Why do you follow me everywhere?
You pale.
-I don't understand-
-Today in the courtyard, you were behind me and Jacob. And a week ago, in the restaurant with Gwen, was that you?- your silence is enough-. I didn't notice at first, but I started to feel watched. I'm sorry, but I'd rather not continue. So that you can continue with the classes I can pass you the contact details of...-
-Don't you understand? I don't want anyone, I want you. Only you Peter, when are you going to realise?-
-Please don't make this any harder- When you realise, you're in the hallway, he's got his hand on the doorknob.
-But I love you so! - tears have stat falling down.
-Please, let me go-
-Please, please, please...-a last sad, but determined look is the last you see of Peter
