---------------
Peter couldnât take it anymore. How all these guys in your life treated you, and how you just let them. But he loved how you would run to him and cry in his arms. He loved how vulnerable you got around him.
He hated how much he loved you. The way you would get all flustered when someone would compliment you in the slightest bit. Or when his hands would brush against yours. He knew everything about you. He always watched you. No matter what you were doing. He made sure you were okay. How you would call him in the middle of the night to rant about something, and how you would sneak into his house to cuddle because you couldnât fall asleep.
Peter loved everything about you. He had a whole shrine , a collection of you. Photos he took from his camera. You were beautiful. So beautiful you caught the attention of many guys. And he hated that. He wanted you all to himself. But it seemed that day would never come . His so called best friend got to you first. Peter tried to confess to you countless times, but he always chickened out. So Harry took it as an opportunity to steal you from him. Harry was handsome, rich, funny, no doubt you would say yes to when he asked you out. It also helped that you have been friends since forever.
He hated your relationship with Harry, at first it was sweet, he loved hearing you rant about little things in your relationship and how happy you were. But things started to take a turn. Harry started being an ass, you would run to Peter and cry to him about all the things Harry did, all the things he would say and do that mad you angry. Peter loved it , he loved how your relationship was terrible and he would add in how terrible Harry was and how you should break up with him. But you never would, you cared too much, you always do.
But this, this was Peterâs last straw. Harry was cheating on you with some hot blonde from Italy.
Of course Peter knew, but he didnât wanna tell you himself, he wanted you to find out and come crawling to him.
âPeterâ, you cried out knocking on his window.
Peter quickly let you in and you clung to his chest and cried. âHey , hey whatâs wrong?â He asked hoping his prayers have been answered. âHarry and I broke up.â Peter wipes your tears , âWhy you guys were so Happyâ He silently smiled. âApparently not happy enough for him, he cheated on meâ You smiled through the tears. âI walked into his room for our Friday night movie dates like we do every week, I brought snacks and everything, and there he was and some blonde chick on top of him,â You wipe your tears look up at Peter. âDid you know about this,â You ask him. Peter shakes his head, âOf course not, I had no idea about any of this, you guys seemed so happy.â He lifts up your chin. âIâll tell you what, we can have your movie date here okay, just me and you.â Peter smiles.
You and Peter lay on the bed in each otherâs arms watching a movie. Peters sits up and calls out your name. You turn towards him. âI just, thereâs something Iâve needed to say to you for a while.â
You tilt your head curiously , âOkay well, spit it out â.
Peter takes a deep breath, he was finally gonna do it, â Weâve been friends for like ever, and I need to say that , Well I love youâ You smile at him, â I love you too Peter.â Peter shakes his head, â No not like that, you donât love me the way I love you,â he gets closer to you. âOhâ you whisper as he grips your thigh pulling you closer to him, if any closer your lips would touch. â I just couldnât stand all these years of all these guys not treating you right, you know I was gonna confess to you but Harry stole you from me. Iâm sick and tired of not being able to have you , not being able to love you.â You blink in shock, he leans in to kiss you but you back away.
â Peter, I just broke up with my boyfriend, who is your best friend, and you try to make a move on me.â You spoke in disbelief. â I know but-â Peter tried to say, â No Peter, I canât do this with you, not to Harry, not today.â You shook your head. Peter furrowed his brows, â But he cheated on you, please, I just wanna make you feel good.â He pulls you back towards him and flips himself on top. He leans down and presses soft kisses to your neck. â Just let me show you how good I can make you feel, how much I love youâ He whispers in your ear. âPeter,â you whisper. He locks his lips onto yours. He caresses your face and deepens the kiss, âPleaseâ he pleads. You look up at him and eventually nod your head yes.
Peter smiles and places his lips onto yours, his hands gently moving around your body. He makes his way down to the waist band of your shorts and slips his hand underneath and starts circling your clit. You gasp at his touch. Peter moved his hand down to your entrance and started pumping his fingers in. You let out a soft moan as Peter starts kissing and biting your neck. â So pretty ,â He says , picking up some speed in his fingers. You try to hold on your moans. Peter pulls his fingers away and grabs your face. â Donât hold back your moans baby, I wanna hear youâ you nod your head as a response.
You look up at him as he takes unbuckles his pants and takes out his length. Your mouth agape and he smirks. He brushes his thumb over your lips as he pushes himself into your core. Moans escaping both of your mouths from the feeling. He looks you in the eye waiting for your approval to move and you smile. He begins to thrust in and out. Heavy breaths and grunts escape from his mouth. You donât hold back your moans of pleasure as he lifts up your waist fucking you deeper. You moan out searching for something to grab on. â Fuck Baby, you feel so good, My sweet girlâ he praises. He drops his hands from your waist. â Turn aroundâ he says . And you do so. His hands roam your body and he slaps your ass. He places a hand on your ass and rubs his dick on your entrance. â My pretty girlâ he says as he slips back inside.
The sound your skin slapping together fills the room.
You grip the bed sheets as he pushes your head down into the pillow. Moans escaping from your lips and praises from his. âMy gorgeous girl, your doing so good for me, taking me so wellâ. Tears form in your eyes from how hard heâs thrusting, â Harry never fucked you like this, he never loved you like this.â Peter yanked your head back and gripped your chin. â Harry never made you feel good like this huh.â You shake your head and try to get the words out but you canât .
Peter's hand makes itâs way back to your clit as he pounds into you. You smile in pleasure and moan as he circles around one more time, releasing your orgasm.
Peter smiled. He had finally won. He was the one. Making you cum, he was the one with his dick deep inside you making you moan like crazy. He was the one watching the way your ass bounced against his dick. He leaned his head back as he came inside and pulled out. Watching his seed drip out.
And he was the one who got to fill you up. He had won.

Summary: This story is a serval chapter work about Andrew garfieldâs peter Parker struggling to balance pursuing a higher education at NYU as well as being spiderman. In meeting Y/N heâs encouraged to become a different person, but he feels guilty in doing so especially after the death of his first love four years ago to his hands. Slow burn
a/n: After watching Spider-man NWH, I noticed there was a boom in attention for Andrew Garfield, which is well deserved. Itâs been a really long time since iâve written anything, but the fanfics i ever wrote were actually about Andrew as he was my first celebrity crush (I had great taste since I was young as you can tell). Thus, I feel that in expecting lots of people to be looking for fanfics about him following the movie, I should write a little something to quench the general publicâs thirst. I want to preface that this is about Andrewâs Peter Parker balancing being Spiderman as well as becoming a college student in NYU. There, he meets a love interest (you), but it is difficult for him to think of being with someone after the loss of his first love. I tried to capture the comedy and quick banter that is specific to Andrewâs Peter Parker, so i hope you can get that from this story. Also, I wanted this story to be inclusive, so while it is a female character read it as yourself as in reality that's definitely what iâm doing. Enjoy :)))
After helping to evacuate the entire building, you climb to the top floor. You watch as the fire slowly rises, engulfing the hundreds of glass windows. After making sure everyone is safe, you signal for the helicopter to take off.
-Spiderman will come for me- you assure the pilot, hiding a smile. Pretending you don't know that your friend is hiding behind the superhero mask is still funny to you, even though it's been several months. You look to your right and see a small figure growing larger and large. Clinging to one of the windows, your friend scans the interior of the floor.
-Everything OK? - he asks when he reaches the top level. With a hop, he stands next to you. You nod-. Thank you for your help. I'll take you home- he gestures for you to hold on to him. The building is surrounded by policies. The whole street is full of cars and vans. Despite the event, the night is beautiful. A group of people armed with guns had entered the offices with the intention of stealing the company's formula. Spiderman had arrived in time and although no one had been hurt, one of the group had lit a fire before being caught. Luckily, everything had turned out well, thanks to spiderman.
-Thanks Peter- he makes a sudden movement. Â
-What?- he asks in a hoarse voice.
-What? - you repeat, watching helplessly as cars pass underneath you. The cars start to move away as Peter approaches the top of the bridge.
-How do you know my name?-
-What do you mean, how do I know your name? Peter, what are you saying? Besides, this way doesn't go to myâŚ- putting a hand to your mouth, he approaches you.
-Please stop repeating my name- you frown. Staring at him through the mask, you could swear he's staring back at you.
-Who are you?- Sighing, he runs a hand down the back of his neck.
-I'm Peter- he removes his mask. When you see his brown hair, you think it's all a joke and your Peter was just trying to tease you, but when his eyes return your gaze, you hold your breath. Your pupils move from side to side rapidly, taking in every detail of the face of the person in front of you.
-Where did you come from? Where is my Peter?-
Peter observes you. You look puzzled, no less, he himself doesn't quite understand what's going on, but your eyes tell him you're calmed. Stretching his neck, he puts his mask back on.
-I don't know, but I'm going to find him. -He throws a spider web at the nearest building. -Are you coming?

The city seemed quieter, hundreds of feet in the air, or maybe it was the sound of the wind that was deafening. Continuing up with daily runs in the city that never sleeps while keeping up with my assigned readings sure made me tired at least. But it's getting late and I haven't even looked over the problem set for Chemistry due tomorrow.Â
I swung home later than usual as it was 1 am now and I knew May would be getting anxious about where I was. Quietly, I slid open the window to my bedroom. The lights were off so clearly May hadnât bothered to come in yet. I coasted into the room undetected and crawled into bed, pulling the covers over me. Nevertheless, just as I had done so the light turned on.
âI thought curfew was at elleven Peterâ Mayâs voice stated. I sheepishly peered over the covers and smiled at her from my bed to where she stood in the doorway. I began laughing nervously, âDid we? I could have sworn we said twel-â âPeterâ Aunt May asserted as she cut me off with a straight face. My sheepish smile faded away. âAunt May, crime doesnât have a curfewâ I whined, turning over in my bed. âWell you do, youâre in college now Peter. You got to set some time aside for your studies. I didnât send you to NYU for you to be slacking offâ she returned while crossing her arms.
I turned back over to face her. Unfortunately, as almost always, she was right. I had been using my night job as an excuse to avoid homework. Getting into NYU was surely one of the hardest things I had to earn, but what I did not anticipate was how hard college would be after getting into it. And it wasnât even because of the difficulty of the homework, it was the time management that was kicking my ass.
âI thought we talked about this Peter. And who would have thought being Spiderman is whatâs distracting you. In college I would have thought it would be parties or girls or dru-â âMayâ i interrupted her with a smirk. I couldnât blame her frustration as my number one fan. âThis time management thing is difficult - that's all - it's not like any of the material is hardâ I argued to her. She sighed looking at me amidst her tangent.
âIâll get it done May, have I ever let you down?â I ask knowing the answer as I get up to hug her.
âWell no I suppose not-â âThen trust me, if I can stick to the ceiling and swing from the empire state building iâm sure I can do my assignmentsâ I say reassuringly as I place my hand on her shoulder.Â
She begrudgingly loses her crossed arm stance to place a hand over mine. âWell alright⌠but you better start dedicating time to your homework Peter. Youâre a smart boy and I -â âYes Aunt May! Goodnight! Love you!â I ended, smiling as I slowly closed the bedroom door on her. As the silence of Aunt Mayâs badgering ended through my door, I turned around and let out a sign of relief. However, the relief didnât last long as I understood it to finally be the time to catch up on my homework for the night, something more time tasking then the bomb I dismantled. The two things were similar in a way however. Except one of them would in fact be the death of me⌠and Iâm not talking about the bomb everyone. Â

Slow burna/n: Thank you everyone for your sweet comments and overall support. Sorry for the wait, here is the trivia you have been waiting for. a/n:Â Heres another chapter, sorry for the wait. xoxo :)
Going to class the next day, the one which I shared with Y/N, I made sure to wear the pin on my back pack in hopes that she noticed. I thought about things a lot last night, I couldnât help it. This pin sort of confirmed for me that I was feeling something for Y/N, no matter how conflicted I was about moving on from the past. The pin symbolized my chance at happiness in the future as Y/Nâs giving of it to me confirmed that both of us wanted to continue having a relationship together⌠and although that relationship wasnât asserted to be anything more than friends, that too could change.
Sitting down in Writing I, I watched attentively for Y/N to enter the room, and when she did, I was eager to shoot her a little wave when she glanced over to me. She returned the wave with that smile of hers, grabbing her seat from across the room which sent a pang to my heart as she had to turn her attention to the front of the room. I did notice, however, that on her northface backpack was a small spiderman pin just like mine. This made my smile even brighter as I put my head down on the desk, hiding it in my arms.
We texted some last night after I let her know I got home, but it was so much better seeing her in person.
Having something to look forward to in Writing I made it much more bearable to sit through. By the time that class was over I convinced myself of having some reason to talk to Y/N. It was definitely asserted that we were friends and so it wouldnât be that weird just going up and talking to her, right?
The bell had run and I made sure to keep up with the crowd of peers heading out the door so that I would catch up to Y/N. That was, however, until Prof.Flanigan called out my name. My eyes flashed from the back of Y/Nâs backpack to Flanigan sitting at her desk.
This seemed to be a recurring theme in my life.
I let out a slight sigh as everyone left the room, leaving me with Flanigan.
âI wanted to hand back your graded resubmission I promised youâ she smiled, digging into a folder and handing me a familiar piece of paper.
I took it from her hands, anxious about what score I'd be complaining to Aunt May about this time.
Only this time, I got an AâŚ
I looked up to her, surprised.
âY/N let me know you spent some of your time at the writing lab working on the resubmission before you handed it in. There has been much improvement since your last version! I hope that is reflected in your gradeâ she finished, folding her hands into a clasp.
She wasnât so aggravating like this.
My lips rose into a smile as I could barely find the words to convey how much this meant.
âT-t-thank you, Prof.F-flanigan!â I uttered, looking back to the paper in my hands.
âHave a good rest of the week Peter. And stick around Ms.Y/L/N, she certainly knows what sheâs doingâ Flanigan added with a smile.
âThat she does,â I mumbled, smiling back and walking out the door.
That she does.
Excited, I turned into the hallway, determined to seek out Y/N to tell her the good news, that maybe going to a tutor wasnât bad after all.
Looking up, I noticed Y/N standing off to the side by a classroom, however, it wasnât only Y/N I noticed. She was standing talking to someone else, a guy specifically.
My eyes flashed awkwardly to the side almost as if I saw something I wasnât supposed to, or maybe it was that I saw something I didnât want to see.
It didnât take me long, however, to glance back to the two of them out of the corner of my eye.
She put a little distance between herself and the guy, tugging on the strap of her bag as she smiled.
I had heightened hearing as spiderman which was both a blessing and a curse.
âThank you so much for letting me borrow it, I wouldn't have failed the midterm. Did you want it back by the way? I donât know if I have it on meâŚâ The guy asked, probably talking about a book. Y/N waved it off.
âNo need, I got it from the donation bin in the library so itâs all yours!â She smiled at him.
With my senses overwhelmed I pressed my lips all about awkwardly waiting for this hell to end.
It was clear from the guyâs body language as he tried to lean into her that he was interested, but who could blame him? Y/N stood firm however, the only warmth she exuded was from her facial expression. Before long she seemed to be looking in my direction. Finding me, she nodded her head to me. The guy also looked over at me, distracted from their conversation.
She pointed over to me, turning back to the guy and explained that she had to go but that she would see him around. Looking back from me to her, he forced a smile and agreed, turning away to leave.
I decided to disregard what I heard and focus on the positives. I seemed to have discouraged him from any attempt at making a move on her as she didnât mention anything about who I was specifically, just that I was important enough to end their conversation.
I pretended to look away as she headed over towards me, but my heart got the best of me as I met her eyes as she finally stood before me.
âHi,â I greeted her, smiling sheepishly.
She theld her books to her chest, turning about playfully, looking up at me with those eyes.
âHi,â she mirrored.
We shared a brief moment of smiles before she continued.
âI was gonna wait for you, you know,â she informed me.
âWere you now?â I smirked.
âOf courseâ she nodded.
âWere you waiting for this?â I asked, proudly displaying my marked paper to her.
She took ahold of it, glancing from it to me, and back again.
âThis is better than what I got! Congratulations!â she beamed, jumping a little while she squeezed my arm.
Her touch made me forget about any remote sense of upset I was feeling about her smiling at another guy, she seemed to have that effect.
âWell itâs thanks to you really⌠I'm just surprised I got a better score than youâ I snickered.
She paused to roll her eyes.
âMe too, I should have left some errors so we could have been even at leastâ she joked, sneering to herself.
I shook my head.
âWell, at least we're even considering I won trivia yesterday. Must be the opposite dayâ she remarked, bumping my shoulder as we walked down the hall together.
âHmph, well weâre still not even because I did go to the club with you out of the kindness of my heartâ I turned to her, flashing my eyes to hers.
She raised her eyebrows.
âSo⌠it was not because you wanted to win that spiderman pillow?â she asked playfully.
âOh of courseâ I retorted as she let out a snicker.
âWell I would have.. that is⌠if it were not for that stupid trick on the last questionâ I reminded her.
She nodded her head.
I admired watching the expression on her face. All delicate features in a combination somehow gave her the most playful look about her. She looked down at the ground as we walked together, seeming to be thinking something
âI do like my pin thoughâ I sort of whispered, leaning down for her to hear me. Her head tilted to mine and her eyes smiled at me.
We both broke eye contact to look down and smile to ourselves.
âPeter,â she began, pausing completely and grabbing me by the arm lightly to stop me too.
I turned to her, and swiped my tongue over my lips quickly, nervous about what she was about to say next.
âHave you thought about what you want to get even?â she asked, with a twinkle in her eye.
My tongue pressed against the back of my teeth as a smile appeared on my face.
âMhmâ I answered as I looked up and around the hallway, away from her eyes as something spontaneous came over me, compelling me to speak my mind⌠which I did.
âWellâŚ?â she prodded, turning about as she couldnât keep still as she poked my shoulder for a response.
I looked down at her, my stare making her snap still to look up to me.
âWell⌠I was wonderingâŚâ I began, lost in her eyes.
âMhmmmâŚ?â she encouraged, raising her eyebrows.
âI was wondering-â I began again. The face she made as she held on for my next word made me feel warm inside.
â-If you wanted to hang out tonight⌠or something?â I bit my lip a little at my bluntness.
The look of excitement seemed to flush from her face, causing my heart to fall with it.
Sheâs going to tell me she has a boyfriend⌠wonât she? She's gonna tell me we were not like that⌠that sheâs not interested⌠isn't she? Shit, I made this weird didnât I?
âOh PeterâŚâ she started, pressing her lips.
Fuck my life.
âIâm going out with my girl friends tonight⌠what about the weekend?â she asked.
OhâŚ
My anxiety turned into relief.
âOh-yea-yea whatever day you wantâ I responded, stumbling over my words.
âWell as long as itâs past my chemistry test on Friday, I have to see if Iâll still like you when I get my score backâ she joked, turning to continue walking with me down the hallway.
I blinked in shock as I slowly followed after her.
When she said âlikeâ⌠what âlikeâ are we talking about here?
She continued on casually.
âSo have you thought about the tutoring thing?â she asked me.
âUhhh⌠well to be honest noâŚâ
As Y/N continued the conversation I couldn't help but think that she might have interpreted my suggestion to hang out as another friend thing⌠and that interpretation wouldnât be wrong. I mean - I didnât really clarify what I meant, slightly because I didnât even really know. It was a spontaneous answer to her question, and although it was a good one, I didnât have much of a plan in mind if she did say yes. But clearly she was receptive to the notion, so I would have to think of something to do together until the weekend. Something that would convey my interest in her besides being friends, maybe.
I walked Y/N to her dorm that afternoon and then went to the subway to venture home. The whole rest of the day, however, I couldnât stop thinking about her. She had plans of going out with her friends, and although I completely trusted that that was true because I had no reason to think otherwise, the anxious part of me was telling me that she made that up because she wasnât interested. This created a long winded debate in my head where I was left over-analyzing every aspect of her response. She was the one who suggested we hang out over the weekend instead.. But then again⌠she could have just been saying that so she has time to think of another excuse.
The only thing I knew to do to alleviate these thoughts which were seriously distracting me from my chemistry homework would be jumping out the window⌠which I did⌠for my night job that is.
Being spiderman often distracted me from a lot of the problems I had going on as Peter Parker, likely because I was addressing other peopleâs problems rather than my own. This felt so good that I found myself happier as spiderman than Peter Parker most of the time⌠that was⌠until recently. To be fair, I hadnât known Y/N for that long but the opportunity of getting closer to her kept me going⌠kept Peter going. And the motivation to do anything Peter-related has been lacking since⌠well since I lost her.
And although I was feeling guilty about even liking someone else, another part of me knew I couldnât help it. I mean, no one who meets Y/N could help but like her, Iâm sure not even Gwen.
Swinging out into the night, I forgot about all those conflicting ideas and I was just , spider-man.
Tonight I was off interrupting a bank robbery. There hasnât been any serious villains Iâve had to face in a while, so basically my day life has been more eventful than my night life. This has led me to become more involved in petty things that I usually leave to the cops⌠such as bank robberies.
After dusting my hands off from the easy task, I remained stopped at the top of a familiar building, the business building at NYU. I was just a little bored with my night but I didnât feel like going home yet so I decided to wait and listen to my personal police radio to see if there was any ongoing crime that would be of interest to me. Nothing so far.
I remained tuned into the radio while observing the streets below where the steps of the subway to washington square station was. I was watching people come in and out of the train station in a hypnotized state until my eyes were fixated on a particular Y/H/C. I titled my head to wonder if it was my Y/N, and upon closer look I realized it was. I sat up straighter.
Maybe she was just getting home from a night out with her friends after all. I didnât expect to be seeing her, especially out so late at night. I checked my phone for the time. It was around 1:00 am, she had classes tomorrow I thought. Then again, this is the city that never sleepsâŚ
But for a city that never sleeps there sure wasnât a lot of people walking around the Washington Square area. My thoughts completely shifted to Y/N, which is ironic as that's exactly what I was avoiding by going out tonight in the first place.
I was a little intrigued that when I texted her that I was home today, she didnât respond or even read the message. I donât know if she was avoiding opening it or maybe she hadnât even paid it any mind considering she was out with friends. My thoughts raced as I looked down at her, and then they disappeared as she rounded the corner of the building.
For some reason I sort of panicked when she escaped my sight. Instinctively I swung to the other building to have an eye on her.
I perched on the edge of that one, observing Y/N as she walked towards the direction of her dorm building. Although I was a little peeved watching her text on her phone yet I hadnât received a text back to my original message, I decided I would just wait until she got into her dorm building to swing home and wait until she texted first.
But that's it.
Those were my thoughts until I saw a hooded figure shuffle quickly behind Y/N almost as if he was in a rush to go somewhere, however, at his fast paced he remained cautiously behind her, almost as if he was planning something.
Maybe it was just that he was a man that I was getting anxious watching Y/N, but my fears were confirmed when he reached out to grab her.
-
Y/Nâs POV
I had a fun-filled night out with some commuter friends from school. We went out to a rooftop bar. While I needed a fake to get in (which I did), we didnât do much drinking as I knew I would have to walk home eventually.
I didnât necessarily like walking home alone at night, Iâm sure no woman did. But thatâs why I had pepper spray and phone in hand just in case my worst fear did come true.
I was a little slower in walking from the station to my dorm as I had heels on tonight, which was one of the worst decisions I could have made. I was contemplating whether to take them off and walk the rest of the way home barefoot when I felt my arm being grabbed.
I froze and was tugged aside into an alleyway.
I didnât hesitate before flicking the pepper spray in my hand and spraying it in the eyes of the guy who had pulled me.
Maybe it was the adrenaline or the dark alleyway, but either way I couldnât really make out who had attempted to grab me, I just saw them stumbling about blind, cursing at me, touching their face.
I touched my heart, almost out of breath in shock of what had just happened to me.
âWhat the fuck lady?â he whined, overly focused on the spice in his eyes.
At this reaction I decided to pepper spray him once again just for the inconvenience.
I felt yet another hand grab my arm one again, which caused me to turn around waiting to spray.
âW-W-Wait-wait-wait-wait!â the guy called out as the red sleeves of his suit raised above his face to shield him from my deadly spice canister. I slightly lowered it recognizing who it was, but still on the defensive I kept it in hand.
âSpidermanâŚ?â I questioned in a light tone.
âYes now put that thing down before you spray me,â he begged as he peered at me from behind his hands.
I placed my hand on my hip, in doubt.
âAnyone could dress up as spiderman dude, you could be trying to kidnap me like this guy!â I shout, pointing at the guy behind me withering in pain.
âCan anyone do this?â he asked, standing up straighter and pulling me to him with his web, then proceeding to shoot the web upwards with the other hand, causing us both to propel in the sky.
I couldnât help but let out an embarrassing âeekâ as I clung onto him for dear life.
But before I had even finished processing what had just happened, when I opened my eyes we were on top of a building, and I was still clinging to him.
âUh⌠mamnâ he stated, breaking our silence and making me realize just how long I was clinging to him.
Embarrassed, I practically pushed him off me frantically, yet to no avail as he fingers stuck to my sides, pulling me back onto him.
I pressed my lips together, uncomfortable.
âI canât get my hands off youâ he stated. I furrowed my eyebrows at this statement, becoming even more unforgettable. I looked up at him for an explanation.
âNo literally⌠can I get some help hereâŚâ he continued awkwardly.
I pressed my tongue to the back of my teeth and looked up to the sky asking god, why me?
I let out an annoyed sigh as I was forced to pelling his fingertips off of my sides.
âThanksâŚâ he muttered as I successfully pulled his hands away, stepping a foot away from him.
His sheepishly laughter tried to fill the awkward silence but it only made it worse.
âI had that handled you knowâŚâ I muttered, crossing my arms.
âHandled?â he puffed with a laugh.
âIâm sorry, you might not know that word aside from the word âman-handledâ which is certainly something you know a lot about'' I retorted to him.
He ignored my comment and let out an sarcastic laugh.
âBy handled do you mean spraying that dollar store watered down pepper spray of yours?â he cocked, tilting his head at me in a mocking way.
âYou wanna find out how effective it is bug-boy?â I chided, raising it up to him.
With a web he pulled it from my hand and threw it aside.
âNext time I'll fill it with raidâ I mutter, looking to the side and crossing my arms.
Uncomfortable silence consumed us and I just wanted it to end.
âWhat are you doing out at this time anyways?â he questioned. This only fueled my fire.
âWhat, are we victim blaming now? Is that-â âN-n-no, no no !â He stammered in reply before I could finish.
I glared at him for a moment before continuing. âIt just so happens that I was out with friends⌠at a BAR⌠do you know anything about that⌠spider-boy?â I questioned, approaching him slowly.
âWhatâs that supposed to mean? Are you drunk?â he judged.
âNO!â I stated confidently.
⌠Not that I knew of that was.
âYou wouldnât even know what being drunk looks like, would you? How old are you anyways, 17?â
âIâm called Spider-MAN for a reason, and I'm in college for your information!â he responded.
I rolled my eyes and shook my head.
This was definitely NOT how I expected meeting spiderman to go.
âWhatever dude, can you just take me home now?â I questioned.
âWhere is home, exactly?â he pondered.
-
âNYU, smart-girl huh?â he states, trying to make conversation with me as he drops off at the fire escape of my dorm window. I huffed, agitated at this whole experience, opening my window in a hurry.
âNo thank you, no nothing?â he questions as I manage to pry my window open. âNO!â I exclaim without looking back at him.
His mere presence was annoying me. He was more condescending and entitled than I expected him to be. My theory was right, the limelife of the news following his every move must have gotten to him that without the gratification of a âthank youâ from those he supposedly âsavesâ he becomes a dick.
âListen if thereâs something I did to upset you Iâm sorryâ he stated. I ignored him as I crawled through the window of my dorm.
âDid you hear meâŚ?â he posed. âYesâ I snipped, turning around to shut the window between us.
âOh⌠well wait! Wait!â he exclaimed, holding open the window with his arms raised preventing me from shutting it.
I let out a huff, frustrated.
âWhat?!â I whined, throwing my head back as I just wanted this moment to end.
âIs there anything I can do to make you feel better? I didn't mean to make you unc-â
âNo! Thereâs nothing you can do, now leave me alone!â I whined one again.
âYou donât have to be so mean about it! I-I mean i know you had a rough day but-â
âAre you really 5â10âŚ?â I asked.
âW-Where did that come from?â he asked, sort of thrown off.
ââWe were playing a trivia game about you at some club and I got that answer wrong, are you really 5â10?â I explained quickly before repeating the question again.
âYesâŚâ he responded uneasily.
I tried to close the window again, but he held it open. I gave up.
âWait-what did you answer?â he questioned.
â6â0 atleastâŚâ I mumbled defeatedly.
âWell sorry to disappoint youâ he replied.
âYou and me bothâ I said under my breath before slamming my window shut and closing the curtain, ending the conversation.
Exhausted from everything that just happened to me in the last hour, I managed to walk over to my bed and crawl into it, pulling the covers over me. I opened my phone trying to distract myself, hearing him leave my fire escape once and for all.
I let out a sigh of relief, but for some reason I couldnât get his familiar voice out of my head.
Thinking about him, I had to admit, when I held onto him each time we swung, although I was annoyed at his entitled attitude to grab me how he wanted, I had to admit, I liked the sensation of swinging in the air and the feeling of my body against his.
I shook off these thoughts in realizing... I'm just in dire need of a boyfriend.

As per usual I woke up in a rush considering although my alarm clock worked, my spidey senses of where the snooze button always overcame the noise. Snagging an apple from the kitchen while Aunt May chased me out the door to give me my wallet, I ran to the subway station and made my daily commute to NYU. Sure, on some days I had swung to school but I wanted to save my webs for the real emergencies. Not to mention that it got complicated how I would hide my suit when I opened my bag in class. Nevertheless, I arrived on time for my favorite class of the day (not), Writing I
In fact every morning that I had this class, I prayed that the train would crash on my morning commute there. With minimal effort from my end I continually get amazing grades in my science and math based classes. However, English courses in particular were the only courses I've encountered thus far in my college that I have been having a hard time. Naturally I'm just better suited for more math related and science related material. The âartsâ such as English on the other hand⌠. What makes the situation even worse is that English courses are gen ed and are basically required for most of my college career.Â
Sitting in that class was just dreadful. It was a complete snoozefest with Prof.Flaniganâs rambing. I knew I should have looked at rate my professor before taking this class, at the very least I could have had someone more captivating talk about the Medieval literature.
What was especially raising my anxiety was that we were receiving our grades back for a recent paper, and Prof.Flanigan is ruthless. And I am not God's strongest soldier⌠writing wise at least. So long story short⌠she was especially rough on me. In all my life I've never had a failing grade until this semester with her. I just wasnât built for writing.
Thinking about the grade kept me awake the entire class when normally iâd be sleeping. However, there was one aspect of the class that did keep me somewhat interested from time to time. That was looking at Y/N L/N.Â
She was gorgeous, that's a given. Weâd talked a few times in class and she was always sweet. In a way she reminds me of someone that I used to know⌠but itâs also a very painful sight. So just as quick as I glimpse at her, I look away. Nevertheless, today she looked especially good and my eyes were lingering especially long. Her hair fell just right looking down at her notebook, her hand so delicate holding her pen, and her outfit so girly and soft. From her posture down to the way she crossed her legs, there was something about her. I must have been looking at her for too long as when my eyes reverted back to hers from across the room, I realized she was looking back at me.
Oh god she saw me this is embarrassing
My eyes quickly scattered to any other thing in the room, swearing I would never look her way again.
Nevertheless, after a moment I caught myself glancing back to her to see if she was still looking at me. She wasn't⌠but she did have a slight smirk on her lips that kept me wondering what for.
I snapped out of staring so curiously at her light smirk when everyone stood up with Flanigan concluding that class was over and to head to the front for our papers.
It was then that the anxiety began to set in. I made sure I was the last person on the way out to avoid anyone catching my reaction to my grade.Â
Coincidentally, in heading to the front I got to stand behind Y/N who was talking to a friend. She even smelled pretty⌠donât think that thatâs weird.
She seemed to look over her shoulder at me which caused me to look away nervously.
Clearing my throat I tried to distract myself from our close proximity. Eventually in heading to the front, I saw her get her paper back from Flannigan. She smiled at Y/N. Obviously she must have got a good grade.Â
I peered over her shoulder slightly to see she got an A-
Wow must be nice.
It was to be expected. I just was dying to know what I got if Y/N got an A-
Y/N walked out of the classroom with her friend waiting for her outside.
In Flanigan seeing me her smile faded away. Oh god.
âPeterâ she stated while in pulling my paper from her folder of hell. I could already see it drawing in red ink.
She handed it to me with her claws for nails, but there was only one thing I could see clearly which was a bright red F.
Aunt May is gonna kill me
My mouth dropped at the same time as my heart. I looked up to her without a word.
âIâm sorry Peter, but I can offer you the chance to resubmitâ she hesitated.
RESUBMIT? This took me an all nighter to write, even Aunt Mayâs writing was thrown in there. If i spent a whole night on it what would rewriting the whole thing do??
I stared down at the paper before me which was drowning in red ink. A 54. This woman really gave me a F, thatâs not even passing.
âShould I rewrite the whole thing or was there something more specific Iâm missing?â I asked in a state of confusion.
âWellâŚâ she began, âthe paper lacked focus and strayed from the prompt. The thesis wasnât clear nor was it fully supported⌠and also the grammar was lacking. Thus, I would suggest you rewrite the whole thing and return it to me by Mondayâ she summarized clasping her hands together.
Grammar? I used Grammarly on this. I wasn't gonna pay $35 for grammarly-pro, is this woman crazy? FAFSA doesn't cover that. Does she wanna pay for it?
âSo you're saying⌠I should rewrite seven pages⌠by Monday?â I muttered hoping she didnât really hear me. âYes. You can always take it to the writing lab to have a peer tutor look at a rough draft over for you. If I see you putting in the extra work to make up for this iâll surely add that into your new grade. Some of your peers work in the writing lab so Iâm sure it wouldnât be that uncomfortable of an experience!â she postulated with a smile.
Gee I wish that train crashed today.
âIâd encourage you to take this opportunity Peter as I donât usually offer students the chance to resubmitâ Flannigan insisted.Â
I pressed my lips together and nodded my head.Â
âHave a good weekend Peterâ she said to me as I made my way out the door.Â
Writing Lab? What a joke.
-
After finishing Wednesday's set of classes, all I had on my mind was Aunt Mayâs words and the grade I got on the English paper. I didnât see how I could rewrite the whole paper by Monday, especially seven pages. The weekend's most usually were dedicated to my ânight jobâ as I call it, and so I didnât see how I could get this paper rewritten by then, especially one that wouldn't get me another failing grade.
After commuting home I headed straight to my room to rethink this paper. I didnât want to sacrifice my night for this but I also couldnât afford Aunt May asking me in the future about why I had to retake Writing I. Stressfully I decided to make some of the major edits to the paper Flanigan had marked and work the rest out tomorrow.

a/n: Thank you everyone for your sweet comments and overall support. Sorry for the wait, here is the trivia you have been waiting for. I hope you all like it, I have an extensive planned plot for this story so stay tuned. Enjoy! :)
Peter POV
Texting Y/N was the least of my worries Tuesday morning considering my train was delayed and I didnât feel like going back to home to get my suit to swing all the way to Manhattan. I arrived late to my organic chemistry class, but I did manage to text Y/N during it about our plans to meet up afterwards for this Spiderman club ordeal. I could barely pay attention for the hour and a half lecture as I knew that afterwards, I would be seeing Y/N. Eventually the lecture DID come to an end though, making me practically jump up from my seat to leave.
In walking towards the door though, of course my professor called out my name. I gritted my teeth and turned around to Dr.Lewis who was waving me over.
Maybe it was because I was lateâŚ
I went up to him as everyone was exiting behind me. Lucky them.
âHi Dr.LewisâŚâ I began. âHi Peter, listen I donât want to keep you long but I just wanted to ask you if you if youâd be interested in chemistry tutoring?â he asked nonchalantly. I raised my eyebrow, sort of confused at this question.
âIâm sorry Dr.Lewis, but I thought according to our midterm grades that I was doing wellâŚâ I said lowly, looking around to see if anyone was listening.
He simply laughed and shook his head. âForgive me for the confusion Peter, you might have misunderstood my wording. Your performance in class is great. So good actually, I'm wondering if you would be interested in tutoring other students chemistry?â he asked.
Oh?
My nose twitched at the suggestion.
âThis is rare for me to offer to an underclassman, but a lot of students in college struggle with their required chemistry courses. I could refer to you to the tutoring office where they might recruit you as a student worker. Have you applied for work study through FAFSA?â he asked me.
To be honest this man was asking me a lot of questions and I just wanted to see Y/N for trivia about myselfâŚ
Before I could even offer a response, he handed me a yellow paper.
âRead over this, it has all the information on work study, think it over and let me know next classâ he smiled.
I looked down at the paper, still somewhat stuck.
âT-thank youâ I managed to get out before turning to the door and walking out.
My mind raced with thoughts about this suggestion. It was already hard for me to manage school and being spiderman, I donât know how things might work if I added a part time job into the mix. At the same time, however, being spiderman certainly didnât make me richer.
Being overly focused on the details of the paper I accidentally walked into someone.
I looked up ⌠or down really to Y/N who in the crash placed her hands lightly on me as she looked up to me with doe eyes.
Iâm glad my spidey senses did not prevent this
We stared at each other in silence for a moment as although I was thinking things, those things were not about what to say to break this silence.
âY/N I thought we were meeting at 302, what are you doing outside my chemistry class?â I asked with a light laugh.
âWe agreed to meet at 2 I thought?â she furrowed her eyebrows.
âI meant room 302â I smiled at her.
âYesssâŚ.â distracted by the yellow paper I dropped on the floor. She leaned down to pick it up for me.
âWhatâs this?â she asked, reading it over for herself as she stood up.
âSome paper about tutoring my Professor gave me - what are you doing outside my chemistry class?â I asked her again.
âIâm surprised you managed to drop this with your sticky fingers and allâŚâ she said almost to herself still looking at the paper. I discarded her comment while waiting for her response to my last question.
She looked up from the paper at me with a smirk at her humor. âYou told me what room your class was in, I just thought Iâd walk with you to triviaâ she said, pushing the paper onto my chest.
I held it before she let go, kind of speechless at the smirk she had on her facewhile touching me like that.
âHow nice of youâ I smiled at her. We turned to walk to the third floor together.
âYou want to be like me so bad huh Peter? Signing up to be a work study tutorâ she joked with me.
âOh itâs my dreamâ I said to her excitedly.
We both smiled walking up the stairs.
âYou should do it Peter, I mean you helped me yesterday, you might as well get paid for itâ she suggested to me.
I shook my head. âWell usually I do charge people for my servicesâ I said sarcastically, stuffing my hands into my jacket pockets.
She looked over to me. âWell why didnât I get charged for said services?â she tilted her head.
My eyes flashed to her. Well there were a lot of reasons actually. Pretty privilege being one of them.
âTo be even, duhâ I replied.
âOhhh yes, rightâ she nodded her head.
âSpeaking of which, I owe you for coming with me today. You told me youâd think of how I can get even again by today. So tell me, what can I do?â she questioned, raising her eyebrows to me as I held the door for her to the 3rd floor.
There were also a lot of things I could say in response to this question.
I pressed my lips and looked away. âI forgot to think of something,â I admitted to her.
In reality I only forgot to decide on what thing.
She rolled her eyes playfully before continuing into the hallway. âIâll give you the week to think it overâ she responded. I followed her to room 302 where this supposed trivia was to take place.
I had my own personal reasons for attending this Spiderman trivia. It was a win-win situation for me. Infact, a win-win-win. For one, it was an excuse to hang around Y/N. Two, she owed me something of my choosing for it. And Three, I could learn what people did know about me from the trivia. Not to mention I would win a prize as Iâm sure I would be the one to know everything about myself. So⌠it was a win-win-win-win ?
When we walked in I noticed the room was full of girls, about ten or so. Which is a perfectly good thing ! A dream in fact.
âY/N!â the familiar redhead cheered as everyone turned around to look at us. Y/N timidly lifted up her hand to a wave. âHiâ she piped aloud. I waved to the room from behind her.
âHave a seat anywhere! Weâre about to start!â Emily jeered.
Y/N and I decided to sit towards the back of the room. The red head stood to the front with the instructions of this so-called trivia.
âHi everyone! I know youâre all excited to get started. As you can see behind me, we have a selection of prizes for the winner of the trivia. But donât worry, there will be other opportunities to win these items. Before we begin however, I'd like to clarify some rulesâŚâ she began. I slumped in my chair uneager to hear this.
âThis is a short 12 question kahoot. Please no cheating, there are no teams in this game itâs solely individual based. Also, please set your kahoot name as your full name, no nicknames or alter egos, this way itâs easier to verify the winnerâ Emily concluded, folding her hands together.
âAnd with that we shall begin!â she announced. With that, the kahoot code was posted on the screen in front of the classroom for us to put into our phones.
âThey really went out of their way to make trivia un-fun with the no nicknames ruleâ I complained to Y/N. I looked over to her as there was no response. She was holding a hand between me and her screen, preventing me from seeing what she was doing.
âY/N what are you doing that for? The first question it asks is our nameâ I laughed at her.
She glanced at me.
âI have to establish boundaries sometime Peter. Sure at first itâs my name, but then itâll turn into my answer of square, triangle, circle or diamondâ she stated firmly, looking back to her phone.
I shook my head at her and turned to my phone, putting in my name. After it was established that all of the ten people in the room were in, Emily started the game.
The count down to the first question caused me to shift in my seat. There was no way I could lose this trivia about myself. The first question read,
|1. How much is Spiderman-speculated to weigh?
How would anyone know that besides myself? I scrunched my nose in confusion, waiting for the answer choice to appear.
I weigh 150 or so, so I selected the answer choice of 150-160. The other three choices were too low of ranges or too high, either way I didnât expect anyone to really know that besides myself.
My screen flashed green by the end of the count down, causing me to smile to myself. I looked up to the others. There were mixed responses of red and green. It was a little worrying the idea that some people knew the answer, but that there was a correct answer to begin with that was in fact true.. Looking over to Y/N I was surprised at the green glow behind her hands.
âDonât look over hereâ she said to me without even looking, causing me to instinctively look away.
The leader board read me as taking first place, of course, with Emily in second, some girl in third, and in fourth place Y/N which was exciting.
âInteresting, a newcomer is taking first place, but not for longâ Emily narrowed her eyes at me from across the room. âNext question!â she declared excitedly.
|2. What is the material of Spidermanâs suit?
The answer to this was obviously much easier than the last. As soon as I saw the answer choice of spandex show on the screen I clicked it.
This also resulted in a green screen for me. My eyes flickered to Y/N who had gotten that correct as well.
I maintained first place with Emily still in second, but Y/N unmoving.
|3. What is Spidermanâs favorite building in New York?
I let out a tufft at these weirdly specific questions. I knew my answer of course but what about theirs?
I hit the empire state as soon as I saw it, waiting for the responses of others. This was going to be weird if other people knew this.
I looked to Y/N out of the corner of my eye waiting for the color on her screen to indicate to me how well she knew me.
Mine was green of course, but so was hers. I was impressed with her so far.
âSpiderman is most often seen on the Empire State building when he is not fighting crime, so we infer thatâs his favorite buildingâ Emily clarified to the room.
|4. What is the accurate adjective used to describe Spider-man included in his nickname?
Now this question was a little more difficult as technically I had two, your friendly-neighborhood spiderman and the amazing spider man.
The answer choices on the screen included âamazingâ, âfriendlyâ, and âmenaceâ. I raised my eyebrow at the last one as it threw me off a little, however, I decided on âamazingâ.
And I was right⌠and clearly so was Y/N as her phone illuminated the green and her position did not change on the leaderboard.
|5. Which of the following powers does NOT belong to Spiderman?
The answer choices read, wall-crawling, web-slinging, flight, and female hypnosis.
âWhat the hell, this is a trick question!â I complained aloud, pointing at the board.
âNo it is not, you just have never been affected by one of them given your genetic codeâ Emily contested.
I stared at her blankly. âNone of us have been affected by these- what is that even supposed to mean?â I responded, looking over to Y/N who seemed amused by this exchange.
âWhateverâ, I mumbled with a pout, leaning over my phone and clicking the one about flight because obviously the hypnosis one was true to them⌠I wonder if Y/N agreed. Clearly so as both our screens were green.
|6.How tall is Spider-man speculated to be?
What next, are they gonna ask whatâs Spidermanâs real name is and mine is up there?
Luckily for me that was not one of the questions. I went on to get each and every question correct, shortening the range in which someone could dethrone my first place position. Y/N was not far behind me either, being in fourth place. I was so secure in winning that my focus shifted to what prize I would pick. Maybe I would give it to Y/N. I mean⌠I didnât really want a pillow of myself, that would be weird. I liked the idea of Y/N having it though. Putting her head at night on me⌠a pillow of me I mean.
The last question read,
|12. What is the name of the newspaper that reports bad journalism on our favorite hero?
This one was also obvious. However, I noticed that there was a trick in the answer choices.
The answer choices read: Daily Bugle, Dailly Bugle, CNN, Good Morning America. It was between Daily Bugle and Dailly Bugle obviously, and it was obvious which of those two was correct as well.
I looked to Y/N who had clearly already chosen something, waiting for the correct answer to be revealed. She was looking straight ahead at the board innocently. Feeling my stare, however, she flashed her eyes to me, and smiled playfully.
âWhat are you looking at Parker, my answer? Youâre too lateâ she stated, holding her head high and flipping her hair over her shoulder.
Her eyes glanced back to me.
My heart panged looking at her like this.
I looked back at the board, my lips naturally curling into a smile.
I clicked my answer knowing what would happen next.
My screen flashed a red x, indicating my choice was wrong.
My eyes widened looking down at my screen. âHow did I get that wrong? I clicked the Daily Bugle!?â I turned to Y/N. âDid you?â she returned with a light smirk. I looked down at her phone which she didnât even care to hide, which had a green checkmark displayed.
âYou probably clicked the answer choice that said Dailly Bugle with two Lâsâ she responded.
âThis is so unfair!â I pretended to whine aloud to the room, pointing at the board once again.
I was convincing huh?
âLife is unfair Peter, and if you were a true spidey-fan, you would have been on your spidey senses and saw the trickâ Y/N consoled, patting my shoulder.
Just then, the podium of the kahoot finally came up on the screen. It was Y/N in third place, another girl in second, and Emily in first place. That last question demoted me from the top three.
âYou have to read more carefully Peter because today you took one of those Lâsâ Y/N smirked. She couldnât help but stifle a laugh at her own joke.
âAndrea and Y/N, please come to the front to claim your prizeâ Emily smiled, happy that she was the first place winner. I leaned my head on my arm. As Y/N stood up she removed her hand from my shoulder to go collect her prize. I watched her walk to the front of the room. She looked almost like a little kid so happy that she won something. My eyes watched her look over the table. I was dying to know what she was gonna pick. I was in bliss just being around her, so even if she didnât pick the pillow of my mask Iâd be fine.
Even without letting her win, I had to admit, I was a little impressed. Y/N didnât seem to have a firm stance on Spiderman let alone coming to this club. The questions were not always easy, but she still managed to get a high ranking in the trivia. I would have rather wanted her to win so that when she picked a prize she would keep it for herself rather than it being me giving my prize to her. That way, if she won it on her own, she would have merchandise of me that she kept optionally rather than keeping something simply because I gifted it to her. And hey, maybe her winning something would encourage her to be a fan of mine.
Y/N returned back to the desk next to me with a sweet smile on her face. At first I didnât even realize she was holding anything.
âWell, are you gonna show me what you picked?â I asked her, flashing her a smile.
âIâll show you when we leave,â she smiled at me. Fair enough.
-
After trivia, the fan club went on to play some different games like bingo for the prizes. And although they were fun, Y/N and I eventually left as I had to start heading home and also because she already won a prize and she didnât see the need in staying for much longer.
I was dying to leave so I could see what she won.
âY/N, can I see now?â I whined to her. She rolled her eyes at me playfully. I asked her this question like five times since we left the club. She had walked me to the train station, insisting she was fine walking back to her dorm.
She sighed. âAs long as you donât get jealous, alright?â she cautioned. I nodded my head lightly. Out of her coat pocket she pulled out a small black box, causing me to raise my brows in confusion.
She removed the lid to reveal what seemed to be spiderman cufflinks.
âY/N are those cufflinks?â I asked, pointing down at them as I looked up at her. She shrugged, staring down at her palms.
âThey could be, but they serve as pins too ya know?â she asked, looking back up to me.
âOpen your handâ she commanded with a gleeful smile. I furrowed my eyebrows. âWhy?â I asked.
âPeterâ she muttered, moving closer to me. I tensed as she grabbed my hand and opened it for me, my palm facing up. Her hands were cold.
In my hand, she placed one of the pins, and then folded my fingers over it.
âWith your sticky hands Iâm sure youâll be able to keep this safeâ she joked, looking up at me. I met her eyes sort of surprised.
âI know you answered them all right except for that last one. I know that was frustrating for you, so I thought you deserved a prize too.â she explained, her eyes glimmering at me.
My mouth gaped open a little in shock.
I let her win and she picked a prize that considered meâŚ
âPut it on your backpack and I'll put it on mine. Okay?â she smiled.
Out of words, all I could do was shut my mouth and nod my head.
She pulled her hand away from mine, slipping the box back into her coat pocket and pulled out her phone instead. She checked the time.
âYour train should be coming soon. Let me know when you get home, yeah?â she looked up at me.
Being close I couldnât help but look down at her, not wanting the moment to end.
âYes mamnâ I answered her, smiling back at her.
âSee you tomorrow,â she chided.
âSee you tomorrowâ I responded. I took a moment to stare at her one last time before turning to the train station. I looked over my shoulder at her as I headed down the steps to see her waving me off.
Waving back to her before turning around, I felt good inside. About things. About her. I looked down at the pin she had placed in my hands as I played with it, leaving a smile on my face.
Summary: This story is a serval (ongoing) chapter work about Andrew garfieldâs peter Parker struggling to balance pursuing a higher education at NYU as well as being spiderman. a/n: I want to preface that I wanted to add scenes elements to the story which are completely devoted to a character to balance the story. Because if you think about it, it's a little overwhelming when every chapter the love interests are always talking or thinking about one another. It can feel unrealistic if every second they are involved with one another. Not to mention Peter IS Spiderman, and this story is also about him struggling to be so along with his other obligations. SO, with this upcoming part I wanted to preface that iâm not the best at choreographing fight dialogues so bare with me, and also I hope everyone can really grasp Andrewâs Spiderman who is quick and commical in this passage. I don't know if I would go as far to say that I would include villains in this story but we'll see. I hope you read FIXATED almost as if you were reading a movie. Enjoy :)
PETER POV
The subway station had completely cleared out as there wasnât many constant trains past 10. All the people who got off with me on the train had already headed above ground⌠accept for two people. My senses were telling me that one was the predator and the other the pray.
I put on my spidey suit which I threw on publicly in the subway station, and then proceeded to crawl into the rafters of the station, watching from above this entire scenario going down.
This mid-age guy whose arm was around the shoulder of an elderly man next to him was holding a gun underneath his jacket to him.
âThereâs my grandson Jimmy, and my grandaughter Elizabeth⌠or is it Emily?â he pondered, looking through the pictures in his wallet.
I smacked my own face at the painful sight, he didnât even realize that this was a robbery attempt. âThatâs nice old man, but let's not make this any more difficult than it has to be. Just hand me your wallet and I'll let you live until you die from natural causesâŚâ the younger one tried threatening him. The old man remained confused.
âWhat would you want with my wallet?â the old man asked.
This was my que to drop in.
âIf you walk away from the older gentleman now I might let you live until you die from natural causes tooâ I said, interrupting this attempted robbery⌠if you could even call it
He turned the gun within his jacket to me hanging from the ceiling rafters.
âCause any trouble and iâll shoot-â he yelled at me.
âTwo can play at that gameâ
Annoyed, he didnât hesitate to fire the gun at me, but I was quick to dodge it. In return I shot my web at the gun and pulled it out of his hand. I then swung down to kick him to the ground as he was frozen in shock.
I practically duct taped to the floor from my webs, but I made especially sure to cover his mouth as I couldnât bare to listen to him anyways. Although the fight was over before it even began, the most time consuming part was dealing with the older man.
âSpider-boy!â he greeted me.
I will choose to ignore thatâŚ
âHiiiiii⌠there⌠sir!â I greeted, still standing over the pathetic excuse for a robber. I walked over to the older man.
âDid you know that guy?â I asked, pointing to the other one on the ground.
âNooooo, he asked to see my wallet so I showed him pictures of my grandkids, Walter Jr. and Elizabethâ he said to me, pointing at the pictures in his wallet.
I didnât even know them but that didnât really sound like the names he said beforeâŚ
I decided to discard that and keep him occupied before the police which I had already called were to come.
I peered over his shoulder at the pictures of his grandkids. âNice grandkids you got thereâ I nodded admiringly.
âWhat a nice young man you are for helping me, that guy
âI bet you wish you had a wallet like tis, donât you son?â he smiled, raising his wallet to me.
âUhh⌠sure I suppose so-â
âHere you go, take it. Every young man needs a wallet. Iâm sure that girlfriend of yours would want you to have oen too hey?â he laughed, nudging my arm as he tried to hand over his wallet to me.
In shock I waved my hands no. âAha, no need sir I have a wallet back at home. Keep that for yourself so you can always have the pictures of your grandkids with you!â I suggested, turning it back to him.
âOhhh but you deserve something for helping me out so, that weird fella was asking me too many questions about my walletâ he narrated as he pulled all the cash out of his wallet to hand it to me.
Oh god. I love how this man almost came close to death for his wallet and now because I saved him from that he was going to give me the content of it anyway.
I shook my head, placing the money back into the wallet of his and placing it in his jacket pocket where it could be safe.
âNo need, Iâm just your friendly neighborhood spiderman!â I smiled, place my hands on my hips.
âI could, however, call your grandkids to surprise them! Would that make you happy?â I asked him as he nodded his head in reply.
As the robber still squirmed on the ground and the cops still on their way, leaning over the old manâs shoulder I helped him navigate facetime on his phone.
I pressed the contact that said âGransonâ, and the phone rang. âWhatâs your grandsonâs name again pops?â I asked him
âUmmmmmâŚâ he began humming as I gritted my teeth realizing my mistake. Just then the facetime answered to a 12 or so year old boy from a low angle, the same one from the wallet pictures.
âH-Hey⌠there⌠kid?â I practically asked. âHi grandpaâ he said into the phone plainly while his grandpa smiled silently besides me.
I was a little shocked that he didnât say anything about me. âDo you know me?â I asked, in an upbeat tone.
âI know who you are. Youâre Spider-man, but my mom says youâre a vigilante because you broke her car mirror when you swung by it and now she says our insurance policy rates have gone upâ he stated unenthusiastically.
My mouth gaped open from underneath my mask.
This was NOT how I expected calling this old manâs grandkids to go. He remained silent
There was a moment of awkward silence between us.
â... Iâm sorryâ I whispered.
Y/N POV
It had been two hours since I waved Peter goodbye for him to catch his train, and yet no text from him. I tried my hardest not to pay attention much to my phone, but it was constantly lighting up without the one notification I was looking for. Just as I had thought, becoming attached to Peter and his text messages was a bad idea as I would just end up hurt. A wise person once said: If you expect disappointment, then you can never really be disappointed. Who I donât know, but thatâs besides the point. I should have listened to that as Peter was clearly playing games here.
One part of me was rationalizing why I had not received a text yet. Itâs possible he was just really tired and couldnât text me that he was home as he crashed right as he got in the door. Maybe he forgot to innocently⌠or maybe he was turned away by my telling him to only text me for academic purposes. But I told him specifically to let me know when he was home. What if I gave him the wrong number by accident and he thinks that I'm the one who is ghosting him? Or, what if he thinks I gave him a wrong number on purpose? OR, what if something did happen to him while he was on the train and he didnât make it home?
All this worrying over someone I barley knew and his stupid text messages was clearly driving me crazy. I slammed my pencil down in frustration.
In the two hours that I hadnât received a text from Peter, I finished an entire two chapters of a reading that I was assigned as well as my chemistry problem set. But the chemistry work was really reminding me of him today. The way he leaned down to hear me at the Saxbys or when he looked up at me to explain something in the library.
I found myself smacking my head in frustration once again as it seemed that no matter what I did Peter was having an effect on me.
My phone buzzed on the bed to which I instinctively looked over at. I saw a familiar green icon indicating that I got a message, which caused me to jump from my chair and flop onto my bed like a teenage girl. Unlocking the phone I saw the notification to be a message from an unknown number.
âY/N itâs Peter. The 7 line was on express tonight so I missed my stop, but Iâm home now so no worries :Pâ
Poor Peter
Naturally I opened my phone right away to respond without thinking a second thought, but before it was too late I realized that I opened the text message. Considering it was his first message, my read receipts were on so he would know that I read it only a minute after he sent it. I sat on the bed with my mouth gaped open contemplating what I had just done.
PETER POV
Out of breath I sat on the corner of a high rise building, taking off my mask and pulling out my phone.
Interestingly, what prevented me from texting Y/N as soon as possible was not even the fight between me and the robber but rather dealing with the aftermath. Before the police had shown up I had to endure an awkward conversation with the old manâs grandson through facetime while receiving a load of complaining about the momâs mirror considering âJimmyâ passed the phone to her. It was only at the end that I got to tell her what just happened to the grandfather which changed her tune a little. Nevertheless, the robber was arrested and the cops took the old man home. I found it funny that the only thi
Looking at my phone I knew my text to Y/N informing her that I was home would come off as if I forgot about it, but I still wanted to text it considering it would have been inconsiderate not to let her know.
I tried not to overthink what I wrote as I just wanted her to get it as soon as possible. And apparently she did receive it as soon as I sent it considering when I pulled out my phone to open the message, I saw that she had already read it according to the read receipts. Not only that, but the â...â imessage bubble icon signified to me that she was already formulating a reply. My phone practically fell out of my hands and off the 50 floor building the way I swiped out of the chat. I didnât even think to turn off my read receipts when I started the conversation but I didnât want to attempt to do so and when she sends the message it shows that I was literally in the chat waiting for her reply.
Catching a grip on the phone, I sighed a breath of relief and glanced down at the imessage queue screen, still seeing that she was typing a reply.
Huh, she didnât waste much time in replying huh? Sheâs probably a busy girl so she responds fast to get it over with⌠I wonder how sheâs gonna respond.
Just then, I received a text from her which was somewhat cut-off from the queue preview of the message. I let out a shaky breath as I lightly hovered my thumb over the preview to give me an expanded view of the conversation without opening it.
âIâm sorry to hear that, but iâm glad youâre home now :)â she replied, but just as I had finished reading that message I accidentally opened the actual message which meant my read receipts sent said information.
âFuck!â I cursed aloud, actually dropping the phone out of my hands, but I simply just shot my web to bring it back to me.
Whatever, maybe sheâll like that I read it fast. But now I have to think of a reply⌠how was I going to keep this conversation going? It was all on me clearly, and I wasnât good at conversing. But this was my only opportunity at taking this thing between me and Y/N to being less academic and more casual.
I rubbed my eyes trying to think before replying.
Y/N POV
He read that almost as fast as I sent it⌠thatâs a good thing though, it means he wants to talk. Unless he leaves me to read like this⌠I donât want to be the last one to send a message⌠he better reply, this is embarrassing.
Just then a â...â imessage bubble appeared to mean he was typing. I practically flipped over in my bed, but in calming down I decided to wait for his message while in the chat as I wanted to show that I was waiting for his reply and I didnât have any games to play.
My phone buzzed
âWhat are you doing up? I hope you weren't waiting for my response ;)â
I furrowed my eyebrows at his message and smiled typing back quickly.
It was true but he didnât have to know that.
âDonât flatter yourself Parker, Iâm having trouble with a chemistry problemÂ
(T-T)â
I was practically kicking my feet for his response as his typing bubble appeared.
âAlready having trouble? Didnât any of what I helped you with today sink in :O?â
I smirked.
âYou mean before or after the latte?â
âLmao, send me the problem and I'll solve it for you :)â
âWill I owe you for that?â
âThis oneâs on the house, lemme seeâ
â<<attached 1 image>>>â
âY/N we did this on today ( ̄^ ̄)ăâ
â...oops ďźâ˝ďźâ
PETER POV
This felt exciting texting Y/N, a different type of excitement that I hadnât felt in years. Nevertheless, it also saddened me in a way. I looked over at the city below thinking about whether she could even be interested in me at all considering I was so lackluster. If I wasnât that captivating in person then I certainly wouldnât be any better over text. I did have a lot to share and talk about, but only with those who knew I was Spiderman, and that was little to none. As Peter Parker on the other hand, I didnât have much to talk about or contribute, and so Iâm afraid Y/N will just find me dry when in reality I just donât know what to say.
I sat on that roof top for over an hour responding to Y/N, and thankfully, the conversation lasted on past chemistry problems. It slowly shifted into game pigeon games like 8ball and basketball which made it easy to keep the conversation going, so much so that I found myself on that rooftop until 11 pm at night when Aunt May was calling my phone wondering where I was.
âPeter, how are you so good at these games you win every one :(â
âItâs because I'm good with my fingers,âÂ
I replied without hesitation.
⌠Wait⌠I donât like how that sounds
âPlus Iâm just getting you used to losing since iâm gonna win at Spidey trivia tomorrowâÂ
I double texted, feeling better that the latter text made up for the previous one.
âYouâd be surprised at what I knowâ she texted back.
âAbout Spiderman?â I questioned with a smirk on my face.
âThat and a lot of other thingsâ she replied. I raised my eyebrows intrigued by that statement.
âWell when you say âother thingsâ you certainly arenât talking about chemistryâ
âShut up. With a good night of rest iâm especially on the ballâ
âYou would need to sleep for the rest of your life to keep up with me Y/Nâ
âThen I should get started then huh?â
âYes, I suppose you shouldâÂ
I replied smiling. I was assuming this was Y/Nâs way of telling me she was going to bed, which didnât bother me. I was just happy she didnât hold my late text to her about getting home against me.
Watching her â...â imessage bubble disappear I wondered how she would say goodnight to me. You can learn a lot about a person's feelings by the way they said goodnight, but it didnât take long for me to find out her way of saying it.
âGood night Peter, iâll see you tomorrow at 2, okay?âÂ
she texted, her tone changing to a more serious one.
I sighed before replying.
âOkayâÂ
I replied dryly, sort of disappointed at how unenthusiastic she sounded about tomorrow. No emojis or nothing in her texts. Then again⌠at least she was confirming that we were doing something together tomorrow, and thatâs all that really mattered.
âOkay, gn :)âÂ
she added.
Fuck, now I sounded mean
âGn :)âÂ
I replied back. I sighed, putting my phone in my pocket, knowing I had to head home, when another question crossed my mind.
