oh hey look who’s dropping in for the first time in month’s haha
uh , in all seriousness , hi guys !! i apologize for the hiatus that might be turning into a permanent hiatus , but i’m back for right now sort of !! um. i had a lot of life stuff happen after my last post and had to deal w / it. (( honestly forgot i had this blog for a while bc life was just treating me like garbage for a while tbh ))

asgore awkwardly clears his throat. despite the lack of tension in the air, he still felt somewhat rather anxious around her, as KIND as she was being right now. not that he didn’t appreciate it, of course.
despite his nervousness however, he found himself .. appreciative, && grateful towards toriel for her compassion, as surprising as it was in its abundance.
soft fingers gingerly cut the slice with a fork, before ASGORE hesitated. so many MEMORIES of before flashed before his eyes. it almost hurt to take a bite because of how undeserving he felt of all of this- but he did so, and closed his eyes, sighing && savouring the taste.
the boss monster opened his mouth, trying to think of something to say. he was so GRATEFUL she was willing to put the past behind them, but still .. if they were to do that, then they needed to at least process the pain that they had gone through together.

indeed, forgiveness was a long journey.
Although she has called herself a FOOL , it isn’t hard for Toriel to notice the way he shifts uncomfortably in her presence , && she feels somewhat guilty. As good as the fireball she had thrown at him had felt at the time , she couldn’t help but imagine that’s what he thought she might do again had they done something similar to this. But Toriel is civilized .. So ..
She stays silent as she listens to him , brows knit together as her SOUL becomes more heavy than before. As much as she agrees with him , it doesn’t make her less scared or nervous herself to talk about what had happened between them && what had once been their family.
“ Well .. I would hope so , I had invited you here for a reason. “ She states it in a joking manner , but her throat feels tight with the words she lets out && she has to breath in deeply through her nose to try && calm her nerves. Another part of her tells her that she should be taking a bite into her own slice of the pie so she isn’t the one who has to bring up the sensitive subject first.
So she does just that , nervous smile gracing her lips as she puts the piece that she had picked up with her own fork into her mouth.
