I had a dream that I went to heaven and heaven had its own heaven-exclusive tv shows that were written and produced there in heaven and they showed me the most popular show in heaven and it was this really beautiful drama and, at the end of the episode, the credits said “Created by Mike Ehrmantraut” and they were like “oh yeah. fictional characters who die in earth media go to real heaven” and I’m like “sure but mike did some pretty fucked up stuff, wouldn’t he go to hell?” and they’re like “no, all the fucked up things he did were fictional. people only get judged for the real things they do and the only thing mike really did was bring joy to millions of viewers” and i think that’s beautiful

Katsurayama Shingo makes a guest appearance on actress Fujiwara Norika’s YouTube channel, “Norika to Yurunomi.”🍶

He chats a bit about Kamen Rider Kuuga and his role as Ichijou Kaoru as one of the most memorable parts he’s ever played.

Katsurayama and Fujiwara have actually played a married couple several times before, including in the Sazae-san stage show they talk about in this video. He also mentions the musical Marie Curie, which is currently running at the time of this post.

I went to watch this musical last week and damn... he sings so beautifully...but looks like they're not selling the CDs nor DVDs. What a waste.

No English subtitles for this video, unfortunately. But there's an English audio (a little annoying, but hey, better than nothing).

So, it sounds like a reboot of Space Sheriff Gavan will be the new post-Sentai series. I'm not surprised about this at all, as it's natural for Toei to be on the safe side by doing reboots instead of something entirely new. But...given that Space Squad movies they made in the past (like...10 years?) didn't really stick, I'm curious to see how the kids will react. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Anyways...I was reading some articles on Gavan, and noticed that Retsu's mom's name is Tamiko. So, Ichijoji Retsu's mom is Ichijoji Tamiko. Ichijo's mom's name in Kuuga is Ichijo Tamiko.

Oh. So, THAT'S where her name came from.

Her name stuck in my mind as somewhat old fashioned (even in her age 25years ago when Kuuga was aired) but knowing it has an origin from another tokusatsu makes it quite special.

There's a news going around that Gojyuger will be last the Super Sentai production. We're all waiting for Toei to come out and clarify what's going on here. I'm worried sick...

The past 2 eps of Zetz were so flat (at least for me), they almost made me lose hope in this show, but I know most of the shows will have great moments somewhere along the way regardless of what I think of it now. I mean, it does have an entire year. I'm waiting for that moment to arrive just so I have something to look forward to on Sundays.
