Starry picnics || Cinderella & Jim
Jim grabbed the plateCinderella was handing to him and put it on his leg. He looked at her, eyebrow raised. âThey gave me a name that refer twice to something feminine.â He told her. Cruel it was just by this point of view, but it wasnât on purpose. Pleiades had always been his favorite galleon, and for a while it was a honor do have it as his middle name. Until he decided to study the Pleiades stars.
He grabbed one of the fruits he brought, even though he wasnât sure of what it was or its taste. It was small and red and looked good. (also red is his favorite color, so why not try the red one?) He put it on his plate, âBut I really donât care much about it. And you? Do you have a middle name? Or perhaps a funny story?â
âOh,â she said with a small laugh, âI didnât realize it was feminine.â She felt a little embarrassed at her previous statement. She had no way to know that. She could understand his feelings about it now.Â
âI think I do, but I donât remember it. The only person that would know is my stepmother I suppose. But she-- Well-- You know my name isnât really Cinderella. Itâs Ella, but when I became a maid, I would get dirty with the cinders from the fire so my stepsisters began calling me Cinderella and now everyone calls me that. I doubt my stepmother would tell me about the rest of my name.â Cinderella sighed and shrugged her shoulders. âI donât mind it so much anymore, itâs better to accept it than be upset.âÂ
Whatzits Galore || Ariel && Cinderella
Ariel didnât like that response at all. Even though her father had eventually relented, agreeing to let her live among humans with Eric, the time when he had firmly stood against it was recent enough that hearing someone agree with him left a sour taste in her mouth. Her father hadnât had any good reasons at all â at least none that were true. Humans were not terrible like he had believed for so long. She shook her head, brows furrowing. âNo, I donât think he did,â she said, unable to keep from disagreeing. âHis reasons were ridiculous and he shouldnât have been so judgmental without finding out the truth first.â
At the gesture towards her clothes, Ariel finally looked at what Cinderella was wearing. She wasnât one for paying attention to fashion very often, finding more important things to look at instead. Even after glancing, she didnât see what having a maid had to do with what the blonde wore. After all, Ariel had once worn a sail as a dress and thought nothing of it. âIs that a maid uniform?â she asked then. The servants in Ericâs castle didnât wear those clothes, but maybe it was a custom in this kingdom.
Cinderella realized sheâd hit a raw nerve with Ariel and nodded quietly. âWell, I donât know the details,â she replied. âSorry if I offended you.â She didnât want to push it further.Â
âWell, not really,â she replied. âTheyâre just rags. I donât have a uniform. My stepfamily doesnât want to pay for that so I wear rags and old clothes. Most noble families donât do that.â Â
Breathe | Cinderella & Elsa
âHow do you know the cat hasnât turned around?â Her mind was racing, but Elsa knew of an animalâs habits. They generally visited where they were wanted, and unless the step-mother was an absolute horror, Elsa could find no reason for why this mystery cat was interested in leaving the comfort of its home. This woman seemed kind enough, persistent to some degree yet gentle. âItâs likely the cat didnât go further if itâs tracks arenât to be found now.â Elsa licked her lips and shook her head. âIâm going this way, you canât.â
âBecause thatâd be too easy for everyone,â She replied. âLucifer isnât about to make anything easy.â Lucifer would go to the point of injuring himself if it brought grief to Cinderella.Â
She sighed when she realized that she wasnât going to get anywhere with this woman. She wanted to be alone and Cinderella couldnât disturb that wish. âWell-- thank you just the same. If you do see a black cat that answers to Lucifer-- tell him heâll get extra dinner if he comes home before dark.âÂ
Town Square//Duke and Cinderella
It was nice, really, to be outside. While Theodore enjoyed the comforts of the palace, getting away from it on occasion was a blessing. And of course, the King was in another foul moodâalways about his son ignoring his princely duties to find himself a wife and have offspring. And like always, the Duke would have to stop whatever he was doing and listen to him rant and rave (and throw a random object across the room whenever he saw fit).
Getting away from the King soothed him so.
Plucking his monocle from his face, he breathed on it, rubbed it against the length of his arm, and placed it back to his right eye as he and his loyal mare clopped through the small town at the foot of the palace. Of course, there were those who had recognized himâthe book keeper, the woman who sold pastries, and others he saw every once in a while; and he made sure to give him a kind hello before moving along.
His mare, Juliet, lifted her snout to sniff the scents that hung in the air. She, like him, enjoyed getting out. Being cooped up in the royal stables were boring and silent. This place was alive! Curiously, she sniffed out a bouquet of flowers to eat before her human pulled at her reins ever so gently and scolded her.
âNow, now, I promise Iâll get you a carrot if you behave.â
Cinderella was glad for the Spring weather. It meant less fires she had to start n the morning and warmer weather to do her chores in. She only had an old shawl of her motherâs to keep her warm during the winter months as she went about her chores, making them not as easy to do especially before the fires had been lit for the day.Â
She had business to do in the village today so she had woken up earlier than usual that day to make sure she had the time with her other chores. She was on her way to the bakery to get a couple of loaves for the next week. She liked to bake but she honestly didnât have enough time to bake her own bread.Â
Cinderella watched as a man rode his horse through the village, she didnât recognize him as one of the village residents, he was dressed fancy which made her believe that he was from the castle. She smiled softly as she heard him talking to his horse.Â
âYou might want to feed her sooner before she starts eating more than bouquets,â she said laughing lighty.Â

âI should be grateful, though. I mean- I am grateful. I never thought Iâd be able to leave the tower at all.â She was talking about herself far too much. Rapunzel was interested in learning more about Cinderella. She was fascinated by the thought of having little mice as friends.
âOh! So you make little clothes for them?â It was just too cute! The princess burst into a fit of giggles at the thought of Pascal trying to sew with her. She shook her head, grinning. âNo, no. He wouldnât have the patience for it. Sometimes Iâll make a mini version of a dress idea I have for myself and make him model it for me. He absolutely hates it, but itâs very cute. Oh! I wonder if you could use any of them for your mouse friends! Perhaps I can send them to you when I get back homeâŚâ
Cinderella nodded, she could understand that feeling. She did get to leave the chateau (rare enough as that was) but she never truly was able to escape.Â
âI do,â she said, âMakes it easier to tell them apart some times. Once they talk I know who it is but just by glancing theyâre not easy to tell apart.â She grinned at her as she started giggling, laughing softly a little herself. âWell at least he makes a good model,â she said. âReally? They just might, he seems small enough.âÂ
Her Horse Threw a Shoe
"So it just⌠nails on?" Audrey asked with slight horror. How did that even work? Didnât it hurt? She bent down, glancing up at the large beast suspiciously. The petite mechanic had never been comfortable around animals bigger than her (which was quite a lot at her tiny stature). She took a deep breath and held the flashlight a bit higher to take a good look.Â
"I think I can make something that could fit this. Iâm not so sure how to put it on, youâll have to guide me with that." She admitted.Â
âThatâs right,â she said with a nod. âIt nails on and protects the hoof.â Major began to get a little antsy and tried to pull his foot away. Cinderella kept her gripe and leaned against him. âJust a little longer Major,â she said reassuring him. âI know.â
âIâve never put a horseshoe on before,â she said pursing her lips in thought. âIâll try though,â she said. âItâs fairly simple I think. Or I hope.âÂ
Time Travel
Tadashi stopped with several meters still between them. His breathing was raspy from the running, his face flushed with the exertion. After a few moments of composing himself, he smiles at the stranger.
"Iâm doing fine!" He greets her, taking a few more steps toward her to better hear her reply. "Are you alright?" Tadashi asks, feeling the need to. Politeness can go along way.
âYouâre just running pretty fast,â she said with a small laugh. Cinderella thought his clothing looked a bit strange but his accent was pretty different so she figured he wasnât from around here. She didnât get out in the world enough to know what the worldâs fashions were like.Â
âMe? Oh, Iâm fine thank you for asking,â she said with a small smile.Â
â Why are the kids gone?!
As soon as Cinder spoke, Jack bit his lip and looked down to the kids. âAh- wellâŚâ He began, but fell short pretty quickly.
"You see I. Kind of got a gift from my lovely friend Tia Dalma, who Iâm sure you remember." Jack took a pause to let it sink in, "She gave me these ingredients to fool around with and Iâm afraid I wasnât as⌠Careful, as she instructed me to be. I mean, I was, until the rugrats came running in." He looked down to them, to which the oldest gave a sheepish wave. "Playing âtagâ in the bloody house."
Cinderella nodded still staring at the children in his palm. âI donât suppose you know how to reverse it?â she asked waving back still feeling stunned. âI told them to play quietly,â she sighed before running a hand through her hair.Â
âWell, for now we should put them somewhere theyâre not going to get themselves into more trouble.âÂ
Black Sails At Midnight
Jack nodded, smiling as he flipped the box open, his compass inside. âHere.â He said, âYou hold thisâŚâ And were she to hold a hand out, sheâd find the needle spilling every which way, until itâd finally point in the direction of the shop.Â
âThen we can start makinâ our way, because Iâm bloody starving.â
Cinderella looked down, unsure what a compass that wasnât pointing North was going to do. She watched it as it stopped spinning and pointed in a direction. âWhatâs-- do I just follow where it is pointing?â she looked up in that direction.Â
âOkay,â she said, following where the arrow was pointing on the compass.Â

â Why are the kids gone?!
Jack pursed his lips, before giving a sullen nod. âI, uh.â He began, not sure how to articulate such a- huge problem. After a moment, he uncupped his hands. âLove⌠I shrunk the kids.âÂ
Looking from his hands and then to Cinderella, Jack was wide eyed and otherwise speechless.Â
"You-- what?" she asked eyes widening. Cinderella placed a hand to her chest as she peered down at the figures in Jack's hand.Â
This was not something Cinderella was prepared to deal with today-- or well any day. "How did this happen? Can we reverse it?" she asked looking back up at him. She could dress the children in the clothes she made for mice but beyond clothing them-- what was she supposed to do?
Time Travel
He really wasnât expecting much to come from his time machine projectâhonestly. Tadashi really only considered it a side thing to do when he got frustrated with Baymax. In this case, he got way more then he expected. It actually worked. He was time traveling!
âOh â Aunt Cass is going to be so upset when Iâm not home for dinner.â He tells himself, staring out at the old land before him. Tadashi was firmly rooted in his time machine, afraid to take the first step out of the box. What if there was a time fracture? What if he ruined something important? His curiosity peaked after several minuets of self torture and he took the steps out of the machine.
Worry should have ruined his amazement, but all he could really focus on was that it worked. So he ran, to where he wasnât sureâbut he was going to find out!
Cinderella was on her way to the village market. Their eggs from the chickens she raised usually brought in a little income she could use to keep foods her stepfamily liked on the table.Â
Basket in hand she adjusted her bonnet as she walked down the cobbled road. A running figure caught her attention and she paused to watch a man running. That was odd-- she thought, she couldn't think of anytime she'd seen such a thing.Â
"Are you alright?" she called out as the figure grew closer to her.Â
ofbriarroses:
Briar Rose had to admit she was surprised that the girl had managed to wander so far. Her aunts had always implied there was somethingâŚdifferent about the forest now. Something that kept âevilâ out. So at least that meant that the girl had to have a good heart. "I do, right over the river, just past the meadow." Giving a vague hand gesture, she gasped. "I am so sorry, Iâve forgotten my manners! My name is Briar Rose."
Cinderella hadn't passed a meadow yet so she didn't think she'd come close to the blonde's home. "I live that way several miles," she said gesturing behind her. "I've been walking for several hours but I'm not sure exactly how far I've come."Â
"Nice to meet you Briar Rose," she replied, "I'm called Cinderella." She thought Briar Rose was a very lovely name, it suited the girl in front of her very well.Â
Starry picnics || Cinderella & Jim
"Itâs okay, Iâm alright." Jim shrugged. The first days were the worst, but after almost ten years his father was gone he was more than okay with it. He was able to see now how bad of a father Leland was, and was glad he decided to left. Jim and his mother were very happy right now, and they havenât spoken about Leland for a while. It was the best, to leave the past behind.
He sat on the corner of the blanke, a bit far from where Cinderella was. He looked up, glad to leave Leland to the past, âWe use them as guides, to locate ourselves in the Etherium and also to find better courses. Stars can show us if something isnât right. They are also dangerous.â The most dangerous experience he had ever had with a star was on the voyage to treasure planet in which a supernova turned into a black hole. He still had nightmares with it.Â
"Thereâs a constellationâŚ" He started speaking, trying to locate himself. The stars were in different positions to the ones he was used to, but he could still identify them. "Oh, there is." He said, pointing to a point in the night sky, on the right. "You see there? Itâs the Taurus constellation. At the right end, do you see that amount of little stars together? Theyâre called Pleiades.â He sighed and looked at Cinderella, a smirk on his lips, âNow, funny story time.â What he was about to tell her was something he had never told anyone, not that way at least, âOf course it wasnât easy to set a ship to sail on the Etherium, so many of them failed. The first ship to succeed was named Pleiades. Yes, after these stars.â He said, pointing to the stars again, âOf course Pleiades turned to be a very popular and well known ship. So popular that my parents named me James Pleiades. Aye, my middle name was named after a ship, that was named after the stars. The best part is that these stars are also known for the seven sisters. So that is the story of how my parents gave me a embarrassing middle name.â He giggled.
Cinderella nodded, glad he was okay. She liked Jim a lot already, he was nice to her and fun which was something she desperately needed in her life. She began unpacking some of the food as he explained the constellation he pointed at. She looked at the group of stars he was referring to. She nodded, never having learned much about stars before. She wondered if her father had lived if she would have learned anything about them.Â
She dished up plates for them both as he told his story, smiling to herself as he explained his name. It was an exciting and interesting story, full of a rich background. It seemed to suit Jim well. Cinderella handed him plate and shrugged.Â
"I don't think it's very embarrassing," she replied, "There's an interesting story that goes with it. It's not as though your parents named you that to be cruel, right?"
What is one of your favorite dreams?
"Being able to return my father's chateau to it's former glory."Â

Black Sails At Midnight
Twenty miles- damn, that was a hell of a walk to make. It was already late as it was, and making the trek in the dark would be a terrible danger. Especially for a woman who seemed so mild manneredâŚ
As the woman seemed to mull the situation over, Jack stood and looked over his own self, examining the rings on his fingers, before reaching for his compass, with the mention that she was looking for a particular item. A moment of silence would pass, before he quickly took the compass from his belt, fiddling with it.Â
âTell ya what, love.â He said, opening the box. âI can help you find your shop tootsweet, yeah?â And with a smile, âSay you and me get a bite to eat if Iâm any sort of helpful, hm?â At that point heâd tossed the apple core to the ground, and it rolled away, bumping into the foot of the original owner.
Cinderella decided she could agree to that plan. She could use an extra set of eyes to find this shop and food would be good before she made her trek back home. "Alright," she agreed.Â
"I only have a vague idea where the shop is anyways," she told him. "My stepsister ordered a gown so I need to find the dressmaker's here." At least she thought it was only a gown, Drizella had a habit of ordering more than she told anyone. Cinderella couldn't carry very much on the walk home.Â
"Oh, well. Whatâs a royal ball? After all, I suppose it would be frightfully dull, and-and-and boring, and-and completely⌠Completely wonderful."
