Humming one of her infamous self-written songs, Annette bopped her head along to the sweet tune as she kneaded the dough to make traditional Faerghus “Sweet Bun Trios”.

“♫Oh,how yummy are these trios of Sweet Buns!Sharing them with all my friends is always so much funs!♫”

Annette saw it fit to make some delicious treats for everyone to enjoy since they’ve been so occupied with the war. She put her utmost love and soul into every knead of that dough.

Though her joy was cut short because while reaching to grab more flour,she accidentally had grabbed the blade of a knife near it. Wait..when did she use a knife?

“BAH!oww ow-ow-ow!! Seriously?!” She holds her hand in pain,blood starting to drip onto the floor.

Mercedes was walking around,close enough to the Dining Hall to hear Annette shout in pain.

“Annie? Is that you? Are you alright-oh!” Mercedes walks inside towards the kitchen,only to see Annette holding her hand in pain while on the verge of tears.

“Ah,Mercie! Sorry,was i too loud?” Annette didn’t want to worry Mercedes,Not one bit.But she guess it couldn’t be helped.

Mercedes quickly runs over to a cabinet containing a first-aid kit and gently sits Annette on one of the clean counter.She looks at Annette’s face and begins to softly wipe any stray tears on her face.

“Oh Annie,you really must be more careful! I wouldn’t know what to do if you injured yourself badly and i wasn’t around!” Mercedes knows that Annette wouldn’t want her to worry,but there’s always that thought in the back of her mind. She would hate herself if something happened to Annette without her knowing.

“I know,Mercie...I’m really sorry. I just wanted to make something for you and the others!” She’s always thinking of others,Mercedes thinks.

“Then allow me to help you!” Right after that,Mercedes helped Annette bake and thank goddess she did.

Annette is so greatful to have someone like Mercedes in her life. Someone there to care for her and make delicious treats.
