We're doing hadestown (teen edition) for our spring musical this theatre season and I'm so exciteddddd. I think I might have a shot at getting one of the leads, but even if I don't, I <3 greek mythology and the costumes/set design are going to be AMAZING!!

I'm already plotting what song I'll do for my audition, provided we're allowed to choose audition songs not from hadestown itself..... This rule changes seemingly every year and we only get about a week's notice beforehand, which is annoying, but it's whatever it's fine

#specifically I think I have a leg up on a lot of the other guys auditioning for orpheus (pre-t tenor means I can go into falsetto/high +#+ notes a lot easier) unless the director decides to genderbend the role. Which she does a lot #I'd take hermes too. Or even an understudy role! I'm an upperclassman now so it's more likely #Realistically I know I'm gonna be cast in the ensemble like always (not necessarily bad) (ensemble's a lot of fun usually) but this is +#+ maybe one of the only times I'll have a shot at getting a lead role!#I dunno. a guy can dream #cicada hums #hadestown
