     Holly sighs, more so out of irritation of having to explain this again, than anything else. Surprisingly, she remains composed- she does have to stay professional after all- and looks down at Amethyst with a clear expression of irritation on her face.

     Hopefully, the other would be able to follow easier if she explained it in much more shorter and simpler terms.

❝ You’ll be stationed with another Amethyst Guard, 

    you’ll be required to GUARD the door until the guards are scheduled to change. 

    Is that clear? ❞

“..From what?”

“I mean, there’s literally nobody for lightyears but us.”

“Why on earth would I joke about something like this?” She laughed loudly tears welling in her eyes. She sniffled meeting the purple gem’s gaze.  “I’m sorry I just I missed you so much Amethyst. I thought about you everyday I was gone. Do you remember how we met?”

   There’s a pause mid step once she hears the Amethyst’s comment, eyes narrowing in response before she whips around, attention focused. All that talk and explanation and she wasn’t even paying attention- typical.

   Holly scoffs, scowling down at the younger Quartz before she exhales, calming her self down and keeping her composure though her face says otherwise. She certainly was in no mood to repeat herself.

❝ It doesn’t surprise me you’re incapable of listening to a simple order. 

        I won’t repeat myself again so you better listen carefully. ❞

 A brow quirked upward upon hearing her response to this. Simple? She felt like the other had spoken an entire novella aloud while they had spoken. She would have preferred even listening to Pearl. Of course, she was doing her best to not also get infuriated at being talked down to.

 Crossing her arms over her gem, the Quartz stared up at the other while she waited for the so-called ‘simple’ order. She was really holding herself back from becoming an elephant when she said,

She giggled in amusement and ran over to the runt of a quartz.  “Amethyst I’m not Steven! Last time I checked he wasn’t pink. I came back! It’s a long story that has to do with gem duplication but I’m just so happy to see you!” She scooped her up in her arms and hugged her tightly.  “I missed you so much Amethyst.”

“Yeah, that’s nice, Steven. You can shapeshift now. Don’t... don’t do that, okay?”

Was Amethyst getting annoyed by the other? Most certainly. Was she going to make this known? Most certainly not. More so because she isn’t sure if she’ll ever get a moment to get a word in edge-wise. Anytime she opens her mouth, the other is saying something else! She really wished Gems needed to breathe so she’d get at least some reprieve. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

“Eeey, Steven! How’s it hangin’?”
